Set in one and a half acres of gardens overlooking the Moray Firth, with a private path that leads down to the promenade and sandy beaches, the Invernairne is perfectly situated as a base while visiting the Highlands of Scotland.

In 1879 the locally famous Doctor Grigor chose this prime site on the West side of Nairn to build his Italian-inspired villa and now the current owners Ryan and Camilla look forward to welcoming you on your visit to the Highlands.

Whether you seek sea views and sandy beaches, dolphins and historic castles, or golf and whisky distilleries, choose the The Invernairne for your perfect trip to the Highlands of Scotland.

We are a fun-loving B&B both Ryan and I have traveled all over the world and we can help you plan for future travels from Everest to The Caminos. We have a 3 year old son Maximus who runs around organising keys and driving the lawn mower!

We require a minimum stay of one month.
POSITIONS AVAILIABLE FROM AS EARLY AS THIS WEEK!

We are a family with a house under renovation in a small village in a stunning area of west-coast Scotland, within a stone's throw (OK, 5 miles) of Isle of Skye and other major outdoor destinations in this area.

We host couch-surfers short term, but we are happy to have people stay for longer in exchange for some help with the house and the garden. Anybody with any renovation or gardening experience would be ideal but there is also much fairly simple labour including digging and the like.

The helpers will stay in a 4-berth caravan which has electricity (we also provide a heater) chemical toilet, basic stuff like a kettle and a electric plate for cooking if you wish. We can also provide sheets and sleeping bags/blankets.

The house has a shower, washing machine, drier etc but is fairly spartan otherwise.

If you want to stay for up to 3 days please ask via our couch-surfing profile, for longer periods we are happy to have you if we get on, but we would expect some help w... more inside

Have a traditional timber framed barn that we live in while we are converting a 200 year old watermill into a living space, there are various stonework and wood work jobs needing to be done, also potential for willow work and associated woodland crafts to be learnt. We run a business that involves traditional carpentry and craft works.
The plot is 25 mins north of Dundee (an exiting growing city) and just south of the Angus glens / Cairngorm mountains, great for skiing, mountain/road biking, walking, camping, canoeing...
The plot is a sheltered meadow space bounded by trees and a stream, set back down a track from a main road with public transport. Kirriemuir and Forfar are local small towns 5miles away.
We are a couple in our early 40's with teenage kids , there are caravans with woodburners to stay onsite or space to put up your own tent/yurt,etc or to park a van. we also get involved with shows and events /festivals.
