Hi there. We need helpers from Sunday 17 November until December 1. We live on an orchard 12 minutes north of Kerikeri, in the Bay of Islands, growing blueberries. We would love help in the orchard as We begin our blueberry picking season. We live 15 minutes from town.

We offer friendly hospitality, have travelled overseas ourselves, enjoy meeting people from other cultures and sport. Based in Doubtless Bay we live on a 10 acre olive grove based in the Far North, NZ, which is only 5-10 minutes from some of the most stunning beaches in New Zealand (2 in the NZ top 10).

We are generally looking for help with mowing, pruning, spraying, landscaping, gardening, painting and general maintenance around the property. There is also the odd babysitting on occasions as we also run our own media business as well as house work. All dependent on the time of year.

We’ve a double bedroom available for a single or couple that are happy to share that opens out on to the main deck with views across the olive grove. Or we also have space for tents if that is your preference.

Meals and accommodation is provided and if you like animals we've three small dogs and a cat that make up the rest of the family.

I have been living in Whangarei for most of my life - love it here :-) I`ve just purchased a beautiful waterfront bach 15 mins from Whangarei CBD. I`m also flatting with social / active flatmates and there`s lots of fun things to do nearby.

With these homes there`s plenty of work to be done around - including painting, gardening, housework etc.

I`d like to meet some travellers to help out with these and happy to introduce / show around some of northland`s best attractions / secrets!
Can provide sleeping quarters, food and drinks for around 4 hours work per day.. Can also potentially provide a vehicle to borrow / further allowances dependent on the level of work..

Also if anyone has any specific experience and job history as a mechanic or builder I would happily pay a good hourly wage for some work.

Would prefer to host helpers with experience or those in 20s+

Kia ora!!

We're Whare, Laura (early 30s) and River (4) and we live in a simple off-grid cabin in the bush with our two kelpie dogs - Booker and Cheetah.

We have an established orchard, veggie gardens and about 10 acres of pasture, as well as lots of native bush with streams and a small swimming hole to cool off in the summer.

Work around the property could include garden/orchard work, farm jobs, building projects and helping out with River (who is pretty easy going). Laura works full time from home and Whare looks after River.

The accommodation provided is a caravan with a queen bed, cooking facilities and a small wood stove. We lived and traveled around NZ is this old girl for 2 years and she's super cozy. The shower, toilet (compost loo) and laundry are shared with us, but are separate from the main house. Grey water is recycled to irrigate trees etc, so we ask that you be super mindful of what goes down the plug hole (preferably only natural/biodegradable etc... i... more inside

We have a large, newly renovated home and we are looking for 1 to 2 people who would be happy to do gardening work in return for accommodation and evening meals (sorry unable to cater for vegetarians or allergies). You would be given your own space in the family home 2 bedrooms available with private bathroom. Completely flexible hours, but we would ask for around 4 hours work per day (for each night stayed), happy for the hours to be combined into blocks of work to give you more time to explore. Work in the morning (2.5hrs), surf in the afternoon. We are looking for one or two happy helper to assist us mainly with housekeeping and general hostel work. Easy work, but would like to have someone with eye for detail.

Our lodge is a historic Kauri building situated right on the 90-Mile Beach at Shipwreck Bay, famous for its surf. We are a small backpacker lodge with 20 beds and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Our guests come here mainly for surfing and to visit Cape Reinga. If you are not into surfing, no problem, its a great place to hang out. The beach is right in front of the lodge, a fantastic place to chill for a few weeks.
Position available from around the 25th of November. We are also looking for 2 people to join us over Christmas and New Year, always a super fun time with amazing people and awesome food. Nothing like home:-)
