On a small block of land there is always something to be done, so am always keen to have a helping hand. Am planning a few new projects so anyone with building experience would be really welcome as are all other enthusiastic helpers. I am ideally situated surrounded by native bush with sea views. Walking distance to beach and only minutes away from some of the best beaches in the world!
Accommodation is a cosy garden cottage with sea views. Or if you prefer up on the hill in a large tent with splendid views over the bay.
Four hours help a day in return for accommodation and food, you can help yourself to organic fruit and veges from the garden whatever is available.
Own transport is preferred, I am 17km north of Whitianga & 28 km from Coromandel town.

If you love the beach, bush and nature, then the Coromandel should be on your list and Kuaotunu is one of those special places to visit.

. We have dairy farm located in a beautiful valley south of thames. At present we need one person to assist with feeding calves and gardening. The area is great as a base for exploring the wider area especially the Coromandel. Roughly 1 1/2 hours to rotorua, waitomo caves. Wonderful bush walks etc within walking distance of the farm. In return for the work we believe that our farm offers travellers the chance to experience the culture of a fully working dairy farm. We are up a no exit road so there is no public transport. Experienced horse riders an advantage. You also need to be prepared to stay for at least 10 days

UPDATED - November 9th 2019 - Summer at the beach! Long term opportunity..

We run a sea kayaking tourism business at Hahei Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Part of the kayak tours includes a tea and coffee break at Cathedral Cove. At the end of the day we need all the dirty dishes and used picnic seats to be washed and prepared for the next day.

The help required would be a maximum of 2 hours per day per person, usually less, usually in the evenings (it just makes the day a little easier for our guides).

Accommodation is provided, it is a clean private room at our staff accommodation. Internet and power are included.

You need to be available for AT LEAST TWO WEEKS but if it goes well then the longer you can stay the better (our last helpers ended up staying 3 months!). This has proven to be a great opportunity to stay in this beautiful town where accomodation is scarce and expensive.

Send us a message if you are interested.

Hi!

We are a young relaxed family, looking for a team of 2 energetic travellers to help with household jobs mainly gardening and cleaning or others depending on your skills what ever else you suggest around our home.

You will have a basic sleeping setup, your own caravan (with a glimpse of ocean views), and share our inside bathroom. We live close to Cooks Beach, a short drive from Hahei/Cathedral Cove, whitianga and are surrounded by many great walking tracks.

You will need your own car as it is a little hard to get around our area without one but will be well worth it when you are here!

We look forward to hearing from you.

*****Looking for a couple or two friends from now until Tuesday, 12 November******

We are a couple living on the eastern Coromandel Peninsula in Hikuai, about a 10 minute drive from Pauanui and Tairua. We often need help in and around the house for jobs like gardening, painting, cleaning, firewood, hedgecutting etc. We try to fit in with your job preferences and skills and working hours can be flexible. We would expect you to work 4 hours per night’s stay and in return we offer a stay in a beautiful rural location with views of farmland and the Coromandel ranges. Tairua, Pauanui and Opoutere and their beautiful white sandy beaches and estuaries are just a 10 minute drive away. There are lots of outdoor activities you can do in our area such as beach walking, swimming or hiking. We also have a couple of bicycles you can use to cycle into the valley, bush and goldmine area or try out the new cycleway between Hikuai and Pauanui.
We will provide 3 meals a day (with or without meat)... more inside
