I live in a beautiful part of the Coromandel, near a small village called Kuaotunu which is only 5 minutes to some lovely beaches. My home is surrounded by bush with a beautiful stream going through it, that generates the power I need. I also have solar power and solar hot water heating.
We grow our own vegies and have cows and a cat and three gold fish.
The land has a hill that gives awesome views out to the ocean and lovely bush walks . One of the things we do is collect sea food to make yummy meals.
i have a self contained chalet, with a log fire. We do all sorts of jobs like gardening, building projects and what ever comes along. If you have a special skill that could help me in my home or property, let me know.... and of course socializing, conversation and music with a nice glass of wine, all in a relaxed way of life. If you are a happy, talkative type person feel free to get in touch:-) cheers tony

Hi there. We are looking for help now in our lovely holiday park.

We are offering 1 - 2 hours of casual work
each day to travelling couples wishing to explore the area. We would like you to stay at least one week, preferably more if you can.

If you have a tent, van or campervan to sleep in, we will provide you with a site at the holiday park.

This may suit you if you are working in Whitianga as we are flexible.

You must both be hard working and practical.
At the moment, we need help with cleaning the facilities and units and keeping the grounds tidy.

We are situated in the main street of town just across from the harbour.

You have complimentary use of our kayaks to explore the estuary and inner harbour and the full use of all the holiday park facilities, including the swimming pool and bikes.

WiFi is available.

Whitianga is a lovely little town and a good base from which to explore the rest of the Pensinsula.

We are a young family, with 3 young kids. We live in beautiful Tairua, in a large house an easy 10 minute walk to beach, 5 mins to shops and estuary. The house is two levels and you will have your own large room and bathroom/toilet on your level.

We require help with general maintenance of the house and section, cleaning, gardening etc. There may also be some meal preparation and cooking to help with.

If you love the beach, surfing, fishing , diving or just being in a relaxed community, Tairua is the place for you! There is so much to do locally and within a short drive is Hot water beach, Cathedral Cove, Whangamata and many other places of interest.

We look forward to meeting you!

I relocated to NZ from Australia in 2019 so therefore my reviews prior to then are for my place in Australia.

We are currently volunteering on a restoration project of our historic Kopu bridge.
The tasks are simple and the visual rewards for a few hours work are a lasting legacy to the gateway of the Coromandel. Most of all it is a fun project.
My Wife Tania and I will be your hosts, we enjoy running, hiking, kayaking, cycling and any new adventures.
Happy Life

Our patch is a small family farm nestled in Omahu Valley, surrounded by native bush and with a great view of the plains. We run sheep, cattle and a few chooks, have cats and dogs, and are establishing a wee vege garden and orchard. The main house is a small rustic homesteadand there's also options for bush batch accommodation and a few sweet camping/parkup spots.

UPDATE: We had a baby last year, at this stage we can only take helpers that have a vehicle that they can sleep in as we no longer have a spare bedroom, or we may be able to move a kid out into another room for short term.

Working married couple in early 30s with a 4 year old girl, a 1 year old boy, dogs and a cat.

Brent works full time as a builder, Tarah works from home running a small on site dog boarding kennels/doggy daycare, plus does dog training lessons and classes.

We live in a beachside town on 1.5 acres surrounded by a dairy farm just 5 minutes drive from town. From here you can easily visit Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, New Chums Beach and much much more! We have had homestays before and love having visitors and helping them plan their time here :)

We love the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, diving, visiting the beach, site seeing, walking our dogs and more.

We would love to open up our home for you and show you around our beautiful area and h... more inside
