HI, we are a family of four, Mum and Dad and 2 children. We are creating a permaculture farm in the beautiful Karangahake Gorge between Waihi and Paeroa. We have recently built a new home and have now moved in. Unfortunately we don't yet have special accommodation for guests so we prefer to take helpers who have a van or tent for sleeping in. Everything else you can share with us in the house - cooking, eating, washing and chill out time.

We are planting a food forest as well as cultivating annual gardens to grow as much food as we can. We also have pigs, chickens and beef cows. We generally need help with the animals and gardens. There is still some painting work to do on the house and small building projects.

There are beaches and beautiful rivers and bush walking close by. We look forward to meeting you and sharing some of our time with you.

We live part time in the beautiful township of Cambridge in a lovely cottage that we are renovating. Cambridge is a small historical town with a lovely atmosphere. Great place to base yourself for Hobbiton (25 minutes), Waitomo Caves (45 minutes) and Rotorua (50 minutes) We are looking for helpers to help with cleaning, painting and general chores, nothing too strenuous, this and to enjoy this beautiful part of New Zealand. Our other home is one hour from Rotorua in the lovely Galatea Valley so we commute between the two places. City and country life, best of both worlds. (Check our other profile #25906 and reviews).

A quiet serene area that has been turned into a holistic Sanctuary, no mains power here, 100% off the grid, solar power and gas and hydro is how everything runs here. Focusing on wildlife protection. Lovely to hear the Kiwis at night. Seperate kitchen facilities. Holistically run which means no poisons, and considering the whole environment in everything you do.

We are a baby boomers living on a lifestyle block on the outskirts of Hamilton. We have a comfortable home with a large garden and orchard area. On the farm we run a few beef cattle, sheep and Angora goats, and we have one house dog.

We are a handy base if you want to check out places like Hobbiton and Hamilton, or go surfing at Raglan by the Sea. Also close to Waitomo and the Waikato River and all the activities that they offer.

The work can be a mix of gardening and farm work, house-keeping and cooking, just depending what is going on at the time.

So if you would like to visit, please contact me and we'll see whether the dates will fit with our schedules.

We are a young family of five (kids aged 3, 6 and 7) who love to travel and love meeting travellers from allover the world.
We run a small artisan bakery with a strong focus on sourdough breads in Waihi in summer, in winter we go sailing in the tropics.
Help out in our German bakery, mow some lawns, read the kids a book, help us with maintenance of our sailing yacht or help with household chores... we love having young travellers around, when we are on land during the NZ summer.
We live in Waikino, close to Karangahake Gorge, thus we would prefer you to have your own transport. But this is not essential. :)
Accomodation is in your own room.

We would love to have you! ONE person only and non smokers only, please!

Anni & Ron
