We have just moved to a beautiful 9.5 acre block and are active cleaning everything up, growing fruit (orchard is already established), and veges in a small greenhouse.

We are a family of two adults, two cats and two dogs (all pets are fed raw), and are enjoying spending time at the land. We could use some help with collecting firewood (which is spread all over the place), weeding, using ride-on lawn mower and weed eater, planting and re-planting, repairing of buildings and sheds, mulching, sometimes looking after our dogs - depending on your preferences.

We have a separate sleep out for one person to stay, which contains toilet and shower as well. Internet is available.
Due to hyper sensitivities we are smoke and perfume free.

We are living right at the Golf Course. This is just 5 minutes away from Otaki town, and 5 minutes to the beach, with a car. A car is available for short trips, but if you plan to do longer excursions in the area, you would need your own vehicle or ... more inside

Hello

We are a married couple in our mid-thirties, recently had our first child Jed. We are looking for general help over the summer on the farm from help with the animals, gardening plus many other tasks. We are happy to provid jobs that suit you and your skills

We have 300 Sheep and 220 Cattle, plus the pets!

We have had 3 Helpx experiences and all have been very enjoyable.

We would like a friendly individual or couple with a good sense of humor, practical skills and common sense. The ability to prepare a meal, if required, would be great.

We are aware of the traveling experience and don`t work our helpers hard or unfairly. We leave it up to yourselves to manage hours and a routine. We really look after those with a good work ethic.

You must be fond of animals! We have a lovely river nearby (Pohangina), the Ruahine Forest Park plus many activities not too far away. Mt Ruapehu, for snow sports, is approximately 2hrs drive.

Accommodation is a sleep-out off ... more inside

We are unable to host until after 1 February 2019.

We are a friendly, fit couple who have travelled widely and enjoy meeting people from other countries. It would be a bonus to have assistance of 4 hours a day as our lovely property and house has lots of challenges.

We live only 500 metres off State Highway 1, and only 6 minutes by car from the town of Levin. We are just over an hour north of Wellington, the Capital of New Zealand which is also the transit point to the South Island.

Levin is a town with 20,000 people and is the agricultural centre for the region. The North Island buses stop there both Intercity and Nakedbus, and the commuter trains. We will arrange to pick people up and drop off Helpxers if required. There are various things to do in our area including going for tramps in the hills, going to the beaches and lakes and rivers, and exploring the lovely farms and seeing how green New Zealand is. There is lots of local Maori history. We like this area we... more inside

Hi there!!
We have a small life style property in the sunny sunny Sth Wairarapa consisting of paddocks, gardens, fruit trees, and lawns etc...
The living spaces are very tranquil - spacious gardens and pool area - can be quite a bit to maintain sometimes.
There are a few animals here as well as many on surrounding farms.
The property has two dwellings, as well as an art studio, plus sheds and other farm buildings.
Help is always going to be very appreciated with the maintenance as well as the ongoing creation and construction of the garden areas etc.

The Wairarapa is situated just an hour north of Central Wellington and we are located 15 minutes from the wine region centre of Martinborough where some of NZ`s great wines are produced
There are many cafes, restaurants and vineyards
The property location is quiet and peaceful, located amongst farmland on the river with its own private swimming spots.
Generally the area is mostly farming and grape growing, the climate is hot... more inside

***HELP WANTED FOR BEGINNING OF 2019***
We are looking for young people who are outgoing, strong and willing to assist us with various outdoor projects at the main farmhouse and cottages, these could be, but not limited to gardening, landscaping and painting. There is also potential for some farmwork.
The house was built in 1929 and has an extensive garden that we are wanting to refresh. Three of our adult children are coming home to assist us in March with the project and we are looking for a little extra help.
There are 2 cottages in urgent need of maintenance with painting etc involved there.
Depending on experience there could be an opportunity to work on the sheep and cropping farm.

We live at the bottom of the North Island east of Wellington on the shores of Lake Ferry. The South Wairarapa is picturesque and there is plenty to do outdoors. Cape Palliser is a 40 minute drive from us. A fun social scene is not too far in Martinborough and it is an international award ... more inside

Space available from 7 January 2019. If you are keen on being part of finishing our Straw Bale house or just helping out with our animals and gardening, this is the place for you. We are a down to earth kiwi family of five who live on a unique block of land just an hour north of our creative capital Wellington.

We run a local tourist attraction by the name of Loco. A 1/4 acre of miniature railway running through themed surroundings in lush gardens. There is also a newly developed petting zoo which is getting lots of smiles.

We also have an organic garden which we use for ourselves and trade for local produce.

You'll be accomodated in a cute retro caravan located a comfortable distance from the main house with has spectacular views of the ranges. You are also welcome to use the house at all times.

Most of the work we would ask you to do is in the garden, general weeding and tidying, some firewood chopping, animal care and help with building our Strawbale house. if the... more inside
