We have 7 hectares 5 in farm land. The rest is house and garden/lawn. We have 2 calves and 13 sheep, 5 chickens , 2 dogs and a goat. Both of us work in Wellington city. My partner 5 days and me 3 days. We have 2 of our children at home they are 18 and 19, and the 3rd is at university in Christchurch. Mostly we are looking for people who want to do outside jobs...mainly physical work, post hole digging, stacking firewood, cutting thistles in the paddock and gardening/weeding , and perhaps sanding windows ready for painting. I cook homemade meals every night and would love you to join us. There are also many amazing walks and mountainbike tracks on our doorstep. We have bikes you can borrow. The beach with good surf waves is down the road, and we have a double kayak you can use if you want to go for an adventure or catch a fish. Queen Elizabeth Park is at the bottom of the road. We are easy going friendly family who love to met people from around the world.

We have just moved to a beautiful 9.5 acre block and are active cleaning everything up, growing fruit (orchard is already established), and veges in a small greenhouse.

We are a family of two adults, two cats and two dogs (all pets are fed raw), and are enjoying spending time at the land. We could use some help with collecting firewood (which is spread all over the place), weeding, using ride-on lawn mower and weed eater, planting and re-planting, repairing of buildings and sheds, mulching, sometimes looking after our dogs - depending on your preferences.

We have a separate sleep out for one person to stay, which contains toilet and shower as well. Internet is available.
Due to hyper sensitivities we are smoke and perfume free.

We are living right at the Golf Course. This is just 5 minutes away from Otaki town, and 5 minutes to the beach, with a car. A car is available for short trips, but if you plan to do longer excursions in the area, you would need your own vehicle or ... more inside

We are here this week, so please come along!

This is a simple bach, 5 min walk to a beautiful beach and stream. There is a kayak, bikes and boogie board for use. A small fridge, small stove, shower and composting toilet. A great viewing platform where you can sit and relax and see the beach.

This place is available only sometimes, as it is our holiday and occasional week long hangout, not our permanent abode. However, you can be here before we arrive or after we leave and we make it overlap where we can. Just enquire and discuss.

Just email me and I let you know if we are there.

We consist of my partner Natalie, myself, and our 4 children, ranging from 4y to 15 y of age, and a dog. Sometimes we take two chickens. Sometimes it's just three of us.

Please check with us via email if you are interested. It's a great stop on your way to Wellington or North from Wellington.

I would ask you to help for 2.5 hr per night you stay, and provide your own food.

Hi there! Thanks for checking us out.
There are two horse properties. One is a horse property, with rescued, retired thoroughbred race horses. The other is a working horse property where horses are trained and lessons are given.
I currently have an injury and I`m on crutches and have limited use of my right arm, so I need help with gardens, grooming, feeding out, cutting and spraying of weeds; re-sewing; harrowing or mucking out paddocks and maybe a wee bit of housework. At the other property, Jane needs assistance mucking out; general grounds, gardens and paddock maintenance; clearing of sheds and outbuildings.
While not a necessity, an interest in horses would be really lovely.
You would not be staying on the property, but with me in my comfortable house, a few minutes drive away.
A driver's licence would be good, but not a necessity.
We are meat eaters but happy to accommodate vegetarians if you`re willing to pitch in with cooking/ideas, but not vegans, sorry.

We always need help with stuff around the house, housework, maybe painting, cleaning, ironing, and our garden needs lots of work. The house and garden need a spring clean. If you enjoy cooking, we are always interested to try something new.

We are enthusiastic musicians and food lovers and love to share music, meals, wine etc. We have one cat (Jess) who loves being stroked.

We are walking distance from the Square in Palmerston North.

Hello

We are a married couple in our mid-thirties, recently had our first child Jed. We are looking for general help over the summer on the farm from help with the animals, gardening plus many other tasks. We are happy to provid jobs that suit you and your skills

We have 300 Sheep and 80 Cattle, plus the pets!

We have had 3 Helpx experiences and all have been very enjoyable.

We would like a friendly individual or couple with a good sense of humor, practical skills and common sense. The ability to prepare a meal, if required, would be great.

We are aware of the traveling experience and don`t work our helpers hard or unfairly. We leave it up to yourselves to manage hours and a routine. We really look after those with a good work ethic.

You must be fond of animals! We have a lovely river nearby (Pohangina), the Ruahine Forest Park plus many activities not too far away. Mt Ruapehu, for snow sports, is approximately 2hrs drive.

Accommodation is a sleep-out off t... more inside

We are looking for helpers during November and the first two weeks of December.

We offer a working experience on a traditional small farm and horse stud, living in one of the oldest homesteads in the Wairarapa.

We are a 200 acre farm located 20km east of Masterton, with substantial gardens, lawns and grass tennis court overlooking a large lake.

There is always plenty of general maintenance required in the stables, surrounding gardens and buildings and clearing overgrown areas around the lake.

Our large two story homestead has seven bedrooms, three bathrooms and several living areas for just us, a young 45 year old couple and three dogs, so there is plenty of space. We are 20 minutes drive from town. Leisure activities include boating on the lake, tennis and horse riding. Cellphone coverage is limited but we have good internet access.

We also host weddings and private functions, mainly in the summer months, so entertaining is a big part of our lives. We enjoy socia... more inside
