Hi there helpers,

We have a big family home that needs a bit of TLC in Pinehaven, Upper Hutt.

Pinehaven is a lovely, quiet suburb, set in the bush, 30 minutes north of Wellington. It's close to the train station, and a small shopping centre (15min walk), parks, and there are plenty of bush walks close by. it's also home to lots of native birds, like the tui and wood pigeon who love to frequent the garden. There is a bicycle available for use and we can collect you from Silverstream train station.

A comfortable double room is available for short term stay - about 1-2 weeks, depending on the work.

Work is mainly to tidy up the garden and section as it's quite overgrown. There may also be some painting and general housework.

I also have some office work if anyone is proficient in Adobe InDesign and using a Mac.

There is a friendly cat, Cleo, to keep you company during the day. Hope to hear from you :-)

UPDATE: NO AVAILABILITY AT THIS TIME

hey, oi, ola, salut, shalom, hallo, czesc etc

I'm looking for some help with getting my garden going and some odd jobs around the house such as repainting window frames and re-staining my deck.

This is a lovely house on a small section within walkable distance of Cuba street and Newtown, and a short bus or bike ride from the South coast. Beautiful views, large deck, as well as a sheltered patio. You can catch the bus into town just across the road, plus there is a bicycle you can use to get around.

There's a light and sunny room that's available for you, plus breakfast and dinner in exchange for an average 3 hours of work per day. I love eating, so you can expect tasty and healthy food. No meat though, sorry, eggs, fish, dairy but no meat.

I'm working on an end of study (maths and AI) project from home so I'll be around a lot. I've traveled a lot and worked in many places around the world, I speak French, German, English, Port... more inside

Just a bit about us ....We are horsey couple with a gorgeous 12 yr old son. Living on 45 acres within 5mins walk to Otaki township. We have a lovely 110 yr old homestead amongst 5 acres of tree laden garden.

There's load of animals here. Horses (show jumpers and trekking horses), cattle, sheep, chickens, and a lovely border terrier called Buck.

We are a family of 4, mum and 3 kids (ages 7, 5 and 21 months) living on a suburban property in Raumati South, about a 20 minute walk from the beach. We are trying to create an organic oasis of fruit trees and edible plants, but right now the garden is a bit over run and in need of some love!
I am currently looking for a person or a couple to help me out for a week or so, with some gardening and maybe a little painting.
In return for 4 hours work a day you'll have a comfy bed and 3 meals a day. I am open to catering to various different dietary requirements. You will also have access to wifi.

Raumati South where we live is about a 50 minute drive or train ride from wellington city.

In the funky, artistic, 'green focussed' community of Aro Valley - with great cafe's and a microbrewery - short walk downhill from our place to central Wellington. We live in a suburb in the city that feels like it's in the country.

Looking for a single (or a couple - only one smallish bed) to do 4(+) hours work a day in exchange for food and board.

Jobs (required everyday): Cook the evening meal, keep the house clean and tidy, split and lug firewood and keep fire going, and walk our super friendly dog.

Additional: Pick up the occasional childcare requirements - which may include picking our twins up from school and keeping them occupied during the afternoons, or evening babysitting.

We are building a house on the property and there may also be some labouring requirements (could include anything from ditch digging to carpentry and painting), so practically minded people ESSENTIAL please!

Warm room and comfy double bed. Fold-down writing desk with bureau and unlimit... more inside

If you're travelling to or from Wellington, consider popping in for a week. Help me build a sustainable B&B.

Itís a large house 5 min from the beach. The property sits on a sand dune so there is much work to be done making the sand suitable to grow things in.

Otaki is a quite seaside town on the Kapiti coast and there are a couple of bikes you can borrow.

Iím semi-retired and looking to establish a BnB.

Ex-graphic designer from Oz.

Moved over here to pursue a more sustainable life style.

We're heading towards opening the bnb this year so it's mainly renovating jobs...
Wood chopped
Furniture sanded.
Some digging
Windows cleaned
Some plastering round windows
A new garden bed constructed
