We have a converted 100 year old woolshed into a cafe come craft shop. There are farm animals visitors can interact with (deer, donkey, llama, goats etc) and we run 100 gotland sheep on the land.

We are right at the beginning of the road into Able Tasman National park where Harwoods Hole is (the largest hole in the southern hemisphere). The Rameka mountain bike track is based here. A wonderful marble landscape in which The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit have been filmed. A very popular spot for tourists.

We are looking for 1-2 people who are happy to be based at a felting table, showing and assisting visitors in making small felted items from gotland wool. This would range from felt soap, felt ball or flat felt piece. Maybe some help in the cafe as well.

The season is from October - March, or any time within that period. The conditions would be to work 4 afternoons a week (12 -4 pm). We offer a cottage to yourself to stay in and lunch provided on the days worked. Own transport ... more inside

Welcome!
It's Spring & we would love your help with property maintenance, building projects, odd jobs and general family fun..

We are looking for 1 or 2 enthusiastic, capable helpers to help with property & house maintenance. Also hanging out with our lovely 6 year old twins - our son is homeschooled. We are looking for mature helpers (mid-20's & up). We like to hear from you if you are in the South island or on your way to Golden Bay, rather not if you are still not in NZ or making plans months in advance.. we're more spontaneous types..

We have a beautiful house with a view overlooking the ocean, a few kilometeres outside Takaka (near Pohara). It is easy to go to Abel Tasman from here.

We have a huge backyard (bushland), with mountain views, and lots of bird life. We have a dog, chickens, and 2 wonderful kids (Rainbow & Alexandria, 6 years old).

We are in the process of setting up 'glamping'accommodation. At the moment we are focusing on completing some building projects like a outdoor kitchen, shed, concreting and plastering. We also want to improve our vegetable garden and need to build raised beds and enclosures. The site is off grid but we have solar lights in the main bach (cottage). To get cell phone coverage you have to walk to the top of the hill.We now have the internet available,it can be purchased for a day or a week at a time. The property is regenerating native bush but has wilding pines and wattles that we are cutting out. The work available is mainly physical and will involve building, digging, clearing scrub and fallen trees etc. I am also using earth bags to build retaining walls. These need to be plastered. We get all day sun here and have plenty of firewood to keep warm. Leisure activities in the area include bush walks, beaches, boating, fishing etc.We also have a house in Nelson and have some work availa... more inside

This is an intentional community started in 1974, with approx 20 adults and 10 children. It is set up as a village with families having their own homes and gardens, and a central community meeting house which includes 3 bedrooms for visitors. The common land is farmed with mostly beef cows, and some goats and horses.
Work includes gardening, general farm work, house maintenance, tree pruning and weed eradication. Because of the community set up we do not offer a full exchange service. Helpers stay in the community house and need to do 20 hours work each week to cover your accommodation and some food. The hours are usually done over 5 days so you can have 2 days off! The basic food-stuff is provided, such as rice, oats, lentils, flour, sugar, tea, coffee, salt n pepper and usually there is some garden produce. Organic eggs are available for $6 per dozen. You need to bring your own cheese, meat, bread if you don't want to bake your own etc

The minimum stay time is 2 weeks. ... more inside

We are by the sea in the Awaroa Inlet, on cleared private land in the middle of the Abel Tasman National Park, one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand. Think golden sand beaches, crystal blue sea and native bush. We've been hosting young people, mainly from France and Germany, as Wwoofers since 2014 and really enjoy the interaction. We will need helpers in September and October at different times. Also in December. Beautiful times of the year!! Our accommodation is basic but comfortable with hot showers and flush toilets.
