We grow feijoa, tamarillo and black passionfruit for market. We also grow most of our own vegetables and other fruits. We have a flock of chooks, a friendly dog called Wallace and a pretty recreational garden.

We are on the edge of an estuary and 5 minutes bike ride from the beach.

We are close to the villages of Karamea and Market Cross, about 5 mins bike ride to one and 10 mins to the other.
We are 20 mins from the Heaphy Track, 30 mins from the Wangapeka track and 40 mins from the Oparara Arches car park.
There are several other walkways and walking tracks close by.
Beach and river fishing spots are also close by and you are welcome to try out our rods and nets.
We have 2 pushbikes you can use anytime.
The accommodation is separate from the house and has a kitchen, bedroom and compost toilet. At this point the shower is at the main house but if you are interested in creating a nice shower space nearer to your space there then we are keen to help you try your idea out.... more inside

Hello looking for someone to help with light house and garden maintenance and cleaning, also possibly would need help in my coppersmith workshop if interested. House is a 2 minute walk from the estuary/beach, close to the local pub and is central to plenty of nice bush walks and sights, also a 15 minute drive from the start of the Heaphy track. Me (59) and my dog live here on our own and I enjoy fishing, working on my copper art and not taking things too seriously. Offer a bedroom, internet, skill teaching in coppersmithing with the chance to create your own stuff as well as fishing trips, meals are negotiable. 2-3 hours of work a day. minimum 3 day stay.

We have an organic lifestyle property 15 kms inland from Hokitika. We are continuing to develop the property and are planting natives trees and currently building another dwelling. We are bordered by a river which provides fantastic swimming and kayaking opportunities, and have a rustic 3 hole golf course. We have travelled extensively and have a wide knowledge of NZ and are happy to accommodate people who have a great attitude, common sense and are generally respectful. We are looking for people to help plant out native seedlings/trees, landscaping, and other general lifestyle block activities.

Hi all help ex people. I've just reloaded our help ex page as I need a hand over the next 2 to 3 months. Help will be like jobs painting outdoors on large objects like shipping containers and gardening.

We are a family farm with animals, horticulture and accommodation and mining. We have beef cows and a few horses cats and dogs no longer have sheep or dairy cows and enjoy sharing our home with internationals. We live in a very special part of nz with lots of native wildlife, bush and water so if you are keen on walking/tramping, water activities(fishing kayaking) and outdoors we are in an ideal spot. I would love some help from willing participants to help manage gardens, help with rearing calves(aug to nov) and around the house and sharing in our weekly life. Must be honest, self motivated and happy to work unassisted when I need to be out on the farm. Excellent accommodation and food provided all mostly home grown ie all our own meat some veges.
