I am looking for good strong helpers who are self starters and who are willing to take pride in their work. I have a villa that I am currently renovating and it needs a bit of work to tidy it up and make it presentable. Jobs like painting, water blasting, gardening, laying pavers, etc. It is in a beautiful spot with views over the town and harbour.

If you are willing to get stuck in and lend a hand out would be awesome if you were to work approx 4-5 hours

In exchange for your effort and enthusiasm, I will provide you with accommodation, power, internet and, all meals.

You will have lots of time to explore beautiful Oamaru while you are here.

Get hold of me if you are interested.

WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING AWESOME HELPXERS FROM MID-MARCH TO THE END OF APRIL TO HELP WITH GARDENING, A BIT OF CARPENTRY AND ODD JOBS. EXPERIENCE A BONUS BUT NOT NECESSARY. USUALLY HOST FOR ONE WEEK, 10 DAYS, or 2 WEEKS.

We live on an eco homestead in the heart of Oamaru--the coolest, funkiest town in New Zealand! There is a blossoming community of artists, musicians, and people with projects here. We are well known for our Victorian architecture and local colonies of penguins. Sophia first came here on a cycle tour in 2006 around the South Island and now lives here permanently--Oamaru is the kind of place you just want to stay! Marky grew up here, ventured the world and loved Oamaru so much he came home.

We own houses that are next door to each other and we are developing our dream of an eco homestead, and an eco-village eventually! Sophia works from home as a consultant, language teacher and homemaker. She is currently completing a 10 month Permaculture Design Course and imp... more inside

We live on the Otago Peninsula, but are only 20 minutes away by car or bus to Dunedin. We are a busy family of four, slightly chaotic but easy going, friendly and welcoming. My husband is a very busy man and so I'm looking for somebody to help me in the garden. There is a macrocarpa hedge to prune (it's big), some hedging plants to dig up, general weeding and also wood to chop. For rainy days there is some internal sanding.

Our property is in Hawea Flat, 15kms out of Wanaka where we grow organic vegetables and live in a straw bale house. Karine has a pottery studio here too. You will need your own car if you want to move around independently.
We like outdoor activities: rock climbing, tramping, cycling, swimming, camping, skiing.
We ask for 4 hours of help per day. You get a combination of meals prepared for you (typically dinner) and food to prepare for yourself. How would you like to stay in your own tree house? It is cosy and comfortable, with breathtaking mountain views. We need a helper in the garden and around the house. Times can vary and be blocked together to give you and us the flexibility to have a day or weekend off.
Wanaka is a centre for outdoor and adventure activities and has spectacular landscape right at your doorstep: lake, mountains, rivers, forests, MTB trails etc.

Hi everybody - someone who can use a weed eater and knows a bit about gardens would be very welcome for the week from the 20th to the 27th of January. We've come back to a very overgrown garden and need Help!
We are developing a permaculture garden and orchard.
At the moment we are terracing the large part of the section with brick walls and steps built with whatever recycled materials come to hand - a very long term project which needs constant help from our wonderful helpers.
Another job that we are hoping to get help with is building a small shed out of pallets - so any of you crafty carpenter types out there would be especially welcome.
We are also developing a fernery and planting out native hedges - so there are fantails and keruru in abundance. Though the development is sometimes hard work, it`s creative and fun. We are getting there but we could do with a bit of help from strong fit people whose knees can handle walking up and down a steep garden.
We also have work r... more inside

My partner and I own a 50 hectare lifestyle farm in Cambrians about 35 minutes from Alexandra, 1.5h from Queenstown and Wanaka and 10 minutes from St Bathan. The little settlement of Cambrians is very beautiful and reflects the history of the area. We have 6 horses, 2 donkeys and a few cows as well as 2 dogs.
We have 6 horses, 2 donkeys and a few cows as well as a couple of dogs.
Photos are of your accommodation, you have your separate wing of the house with own bathroom and wifi etc. We can accommodate up to 2 people and are looking for some help with weed control and a bit of building where required. Of course there will be some fun and horse riding will be part of the exchange to!!
Preferred length of stay is a week or more but we’re pretty flexible on this.
Cheers Jamie and Thomas
