We live in a 100 year old farmhouse on 22 acres which we enjoy sharing and with too much to do for us to get to it all.

There's Indy the dog, Delphi the budgie, Chester the miniature horse, the goats Gracie and Billy the Kid as well as as some weed-control goats, a dozen or so beef cattle to get to know besides your hosts - Hyram, Adrienne and Amélie.

We have a single bedroom as well as a lovely double bedroom for couples or friends willing to share a room so we can host up to three helpers in various combinations.

Work will involve whatever needs to be done - garden work (often lots of weeding!), house work, farm work, building and vehicle maintenance, housework, cooking, etc. If you have some special skills and experience we'll try to put them to use, if you don't, there will still be ways to help out.

We would like a good four hours of work per day on average in exchange for board. We are happy for you to "time bank" if we can arrange it so you can a whole day off.

We like to cook food and eat food and watch the great british bake off. We like learning te reo maori, pottering in the garden, yoga, and listening to music. I like live music and comedy and can point you to nice beaches and pretty parks around the city. and cool arts. We are keen to share our space and meet some new people.

The supermarket and botanical gardens are close and the bus stop is j... more inside

We live on a high country sheep & beef farm in Central Otago in a little rural area called Tarras. Our family all farm here and we have two additional workers who help us out on the farm. We have pet dogs, cat, and hens
as well as the farm animals.

Tarras is located a short drive from local towns Cromwell (20 mins) or Wanaka (30 mins) and Queenstown (1hr). It is a great spot to stop over if you are travelling between Christchurch/Mount Cook and Queenstown/Wanaka/ Fiordland.

We are looking for people who are interested in helping us out with jobs at our farm homestead. Work will vary depending on what needs done at the time and your skills. Examples are gardening, building, painting, maintenance jobs, cooking or cleaning.

You can explore the farm in your free time where you can bike, hike or swim in the river. Hours can be flexible to allow you to explore the surrounding areas as there is lots to see and do if you have a car. To get the most out of your stay we recom... more inside

I have settled in Aotearoa in 1983 after leaving Germany and travelling the world extensively. My field of work is alternative medicine.
I live in a beautiful home overlooking the Blueskin Bay and we are part of an idealistic community aiming for self-sustainability and connectedness. You will find a variety of stunning beaches, where Xaver stumbled over a penguin last night, as well as walks in the Silver Peaks with mountain huts and plenty of bird life. The neighbouring Orokonui Ecosanctuary is a further attraction. The drive to historic Dunedin takes 20 minutes.
You will be accommodated in our own cosy sleepout, so will have your privacy.I am happy to share the meals with you and my cooking isn't suposed to be too bad.
The work would envolve gardening, lawn mowing, wood chopping or other odd jobs.A fair exchange seems to be 3-4 hours work per day. Looking forward to meet up with some enthusiastic, likeminded travelers.

* I'm full until April. Thanks,

This could potentially be a slightly unique experience. I am quite spiritual and have a vision for my home and the people in it. We all bring positive energy and a love for one another. We honour Mother Earth and what she provides, the food on our table and the deep connection we have to nature. We honour ourselves and what we need. This means clear and open communication (expressing needs rather than complaining and talking opening about an issue/speaking our truth), and for me honouring myself means meditating when I need clarity, releasing any angry emotions through sound if I need to in my room, clothing optional, taking time to myself when I need it. We honour each other by listening to one another and sharing deep conversations. When you arrive, I will 'smudge' you - waft the smoke of herbs around you body and facilitate a discussion around desires, fears and boundaries so that we can be on the same page about what we need and how we communi... more inside
