Hello travelers, welcome to Australia.

I am a friendly, relaxed, woman in my 50’s, with no children, just pets, an old dog Jasper, a llama and occasionally some neighbours cows (sometimes we are visited by the local kangaroos, koalas or echidnas.) Non-smoker, I maintain a smoke free home, but have an undercover BBQ area where friends can go to smoke if necessary. My late husband and I traveled extensively around Australia and overseas, loved meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and sharing this fantastic country with others.

*** Ideally I am looking for couples or two friends traveling together.***

*** I have been absent from Helpx for a while during my husband John`s illness but am open to enquiries from helpers again now. ***

Our 12 hectare property is in Yendon, near Ballarat and comprises of 2 hectares of gum trees, 8 hectares of paddocks and 2 hectares around the house including the house garden, orchard and vegetable garden. We are s... more inside

We live in Mallacoota, on the south east coast and one of the most beautiful places in Australia. It is a World Biosphere Reserve in the middle of the Croajingolong National Park with the ocean, lakes and beaches at our doorstep. We are 3kms from the centre of town, and 4km from the nearest beach. There are about 7 magnificent beaches within 10kms from us. Our family includes Mark, Cate and our three daughters, who are 15, 13 and 10 years old. There are also a dog, a cat, a horse, 3 ducks, a rooster and 14 chickens (we sell the eggs locally). Kangaroos visit our property daily. Some of the parrots are now so tame at our bird feeder they can be hand fed.
