Currently looking for people who can help in some of these tasks, but major project for this winter & spring is renovating our timber veranda, building some wicking beds for the vegetable garden, getting bird nets ready for the fruit orchard and building a fancy-fairytale chook (chicken) shed that would fascinate kids.

There may also be other work:
composting, mulching, weeding, mowing, pruning, planting, fixing garden beds, irrigation systems, netting of fruit trees, net repair, weed control, tidying up the property, firewood, cooking.

Our house is on top of a ridgeline in rolling granite hill country with great views. Our western red cedar home has a wide veranda all the way round; we eat many of our meals outside here absorbing the scenery or occassionally just relax with a book in the hammocks.
There are plenty of kangaroos and much birdlife.
We live in the country side (no shops) on a quiet road; very peaceful. The nearest major towns are Bendigo (25km) or Castlema... more inside

Thank you to all the Helpers who have come to our place to help out but at the moment we do not need anybody here. We will probably be looking for some help again closer to November. Thanks Morag and Sam Hi, we are an older couple living in a quiet suburb of Melbourne, very close to public transport and about 25 minutes from the City centre. At the moment we are looking for help from a single person, or couple.
The work that we need help with at the moment is mainly outdoors, handyman jobs so it may be quite cold but we have a nice warm home to escape into at times!!. Tasks involve removing boards from a balcony, cleaning up the area below the boards, some painting perhaps. We would expect help from about 8:00-12:00 each morning or 1:00-5:00 each afternoon. Weekends free. We are happy to negotiate mornings or afternoons each day. We are also happy to consider a whole day of work in exchange for a whole day free if our visitors want to go on an excursion or do some extended sightsee... more inside

We are a 28yo couple, our 4 year old daughter, Mia the dog, and our newest family member Sultan the cat. We live in a leafy suburb of Melbourne and are looking for a couple or a single female to do some light chores and child care for our daughter, 3 days per week. The room we have is quite large, which means you will have your own space to lounge with a private bathroom and toilet. Childcare experience is a must and we would ideally like people to stay with us for 2+ weeks (so our daughter has time to adapt). We regularly camp in the beautiful country of Victoria. We love cooking, playing sport, making music and drinking the odd glass of wine ;) We are 40 minutes drive from Melbourne CBD and around 50 minutes to the beaches of Mornington Peninsula. We have been helpers through this site and honestly didn't have a great experience, so enjoy taking the opportunity to give a good experience to anybody we meet through HelpX. In exchange, we offer two (mainly vegetarian) meals per day a... more inside

Foster is a beautiful small town. Close to Wilsons Promontory National Park with its beautiful scenery, fantastic beaches, native animals, kangaroos, wombats, emu’s, and much more.
A short ride on the rail trail gets you Fishcreek to the west and Torra to the east, both these towns along with Foster have numerous cafes, galleries, opportunity shops and much more.
More serious riders can ride the rail trail 50k west to Leongatha or 50k east to Port Welshpool.
Beautiful beaches along Waratah Bay such as Shallow Inlet, Sandy Point, Waratah, Walkerville and Cape Liptrap.
Also,Tarra Bulga Nat.Park. Known for its giant Ash trees, beautiful fern gullies and ancient Myrtle Beeches, is only a short drive.
Melbourne to Foster bus takes about 2 hours.
My house is two Kilometres from the town of Foster.
I enjoy gardening, cycling, growing vegetables, bush walking.
Help would include gardening, housework & cooking. NBN

~ Looking for helper/s from 29th July onwards ~

If you like being outside, love dogs, horses, nature, good food, and peace and quiet, then this is a place you will enjoy!

We need at least one person to help us look after and prepare our horses for riding. (Please note, our horses are generally well behaved, but even so, we are looking only for people who are have experience working with horses).

Horse related chores include feeding, watering, rugging/unrugging. There are also two stables that require daily removal and topping up of sawdust. Non-horse related chores (if time permits) include weeding, mowing lawns, collecting poo from paddocks, and a few other little tasks here and there - we like to keep jobs varied and not too difficult.

We like to operate in an organised but fun environment (let's face it, horses can provide some funny entertainment at times!). It's important to us that you enjoy your stay here...we'll try to tap into your interests and support you... more inside

INNER CITY MELBOURNE HOME:
A beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing home in an inner city Melbourne suburb, surrounded by nature with easy access to all the sights of Melbourne. Very close to CBD, and to the beach. There is a bus stop 60 seconds from my front door that takes you to the train and into the city and the train station is a short walk away (10-15 minutes) that is only a few stops into the CBD. My home is a ‘No smoking and no alcohol’ home. (If you smoke you can smoke outside.)

I am a professional woman in my late forties, engaged and soon to be married. I naturally gravitate towards people who are open-hearted, generous of spirit, positive and self aware. I surround myself with open-hearted, generous people who are making a positive difference in the world or are on a spiritual or personal growth journey of some kind. I am interested in psychology, health, and business. I exercise daily (bike and gym), eat healthily, and I appreciate being outdoors in nature.
