We are trying to be as sustainable as we can and with work and 2 children it all gets a bit crazy sometimes! We would really like to offer our lovely tent and food in exchange for some help! You will of coarse be able to use all our facilities in the house too. We have plenty of internet but television is not a big part of our lives.
Things we would love help with:
*growing our food
*weeding
*preserving
*building our green house
*building fences
*putting in water tanks
*finishing our netted enclosure
*some babysitting help or housework help would be great too.

Hi, my name is Bronwyn and I live in the lovely, quiet hamlet of Glenlyon.

Glenlyon is one hour from Melbourne and 10 minutes from the tourist town of Daylesford where there are mineral springs, wineries etc. You can travel via car or public transport to reach me. If needed I can pick up from Melbourne and drive you back there. I can also pick up from public transport nearby.

My house is quite new and my land is half an acre in size (0.2 hectare). I would like help with planting, weeding, pruning, whipper snippering or spraying. Other work could include staining the deck (verandah) and a bit of cleaning. You do not need to have any experience but need to be happy to learn how to do these things, and be strong enough to wheel a wheelbarrow. We work for 4-6 hours per day. If you work quickly and thoroughly you will have more free time. If you work very slowly, you will work longer. There will be set jobs that need doing, so finishing the job is important.

I have, in the pas... more inside

Well established (20 years) B&B only 9 klms from Daylesford, a popular tourist destination in the mineral spa country. Mandala has mud brick and eco-friendly timber buildings with extensive gardens in tranquil setting.

The dwelling set up for Helpx guest is currently Upstairs Bedroom inside residence with queen bed, ceiling fan and walk in wardrobe for storing personal belongings. Shared bathroom facilities.

We are flexible when it comes to work hours and time off etc. Ideally we would like 15 hrs per week. Most of the work would be gardening related, but when that is slow we have cleaning and setup for new guests in the B&B. A bit of outside building work as in getting rid of cobwebs and washing lower windows etc. if needed.

We are 10 minutes from Daylesford and Hepburn Springs by car. We are in the country so not a lot of public transport near farm. We do have a truck that might be able to be used to go to town, as long as you have a recognized licence in AU.
