Thank you for your interest in volunteering.

We appreciate help, enjoy young people and having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them.

Please note: We got informed by the authorities that the Department of Immigration and Border Protection regards volunteering as work and only people with valid working /work and travel visa are allowed to do so. Volunteering with a tourist visa makes you in breach of the law and you can get deported and the host fined.
We are booked out for 2018 and have single bookings until April 2019 but we have some places available for most of 2019.

Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. Ask us early as we have many requests and are not always but often booked quite a bit in advance.

We live on a 2 hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit... more inside

FREE accommodation in return for some help on a small 30 acre rural property. We have horses, dogs, goats cats, and chickens. The help required would consist of feeding horses, bottle feeding baby goats , some housework and general maintenance. Would suit genuine animal lovers who enjoys the quiet life as we are 50 kms from nearest rural centre. Own transport would be handy. Lots of fun and plenty of free time to do your own thing.

Accommodation in a private wing of the house and has a large comfortable queen bed and wood heater. We have several cats who like to sneak on beds so must be aware if allergic.

Plenty of free time to explore the area.
We are located in the Murraylands of South Australia in a very peaceful picturesque area with a natural bush park opposite our front for you to explore and can see kangaroos, echnidas, if lucky a wombat or two.

I have a large and productive garden in a very pretty and productive part of the Adelaide Hills near the beautiful small town of Stirling. There are often kangaroos and koalas around, and in the next field are goats, alpacas cattle and geese. I have a small friendly dog and 7 chickens. Its great walking and cycling country and its possible to walk to Mt Lofty Summit and Cleland Wildlife park. I also own a small pop up cafe and catering business which everything is upcycled and we use all local produce.

We live on 17 acres and produce most of our own food through a veggie garden and orchard, and have a couple of cows, sheep for our own meat, goats and a cow for milking and cheese making, ducks, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl and a dog. We also like to catch fish in our boat.

We have enjoyed the cultural exchange through HelpX and now have many more "children" around the world.

We recently bought a beautiful holiday accommodation place called Emu Bay Holiday Homes (Google it) have some general work around there and our own home just outside of Kingscote. The main jobs are helping in the garden, some minor painting, cleaning etc.

Our kids have moved out of home and you would have your own bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Honesty and care for my home is important to me.

I would prefer non smokers, but smoking outside only will be allowed. Prefer non fussy eaters as we make most of our food from scratch from whole foods from our own produce.

We are close to Kingscote... more inside

Come and experience living on an Australian sheep farm. We own and live on the farm, currently running 4000 sheep, but are looking at slowing down in life, so most work involves driving around checking ewes and lambs and waters, and moving mobs of sheep with the help of kelpie sheep dogs . We have been hosting backpackers from around the world for a few years to help with work on the farm and around the house but more importantly to understand more about other countries.
Visitors live in the house with us where meals are provided. Work varies with the season as does the time worked, though it is never long or hard, usually working with one of us. We prefer females due to past experiences.
We have a lot of kangaroos and other wildlife, there is plenty of natural vegetation for different types of native birds and animals.
We also enjoy music so have a large museum of musical stuff that needs looking after.
Kingston SE is on the coast so has great beaches when the weather is too ho... more inside

We are always seeking volunteers to help us on our farm!

We are located 20 minutes outside of Adelaide in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. We grow chemical free, humanely raised lamb and chicken, olives, wine grapes, walnuts, figs and various other fruit and veg. Volunteers live in our home and share our excellent meals. Winter tasks are mostly animal care- feeding and milking goats, feeding and maintaining housing of chickens, moving sheep to fresh pasture. Spring there is pruning in the vineyard and sometimes bottle feeding baby goats and lambs, and looking after chicks. Autumn is harvest, winemaking, cider making. Veggie garden care, cheese making and sourdough bread making all year round. French/english speaking home. We also speak some Spanish and Italian. 5 days on, 2 days off, and we can help with transport to Adelaide city or other attractions nearby on days off.
