Hello, I have a hobby farm five minutes from the sea side twin towns of Dongara and Port Denison, which is 350klm north of Perth and 60 km south of Geraldton. Dongara is a quiet fishing/farming town and one of the best kept secrets on the west coast. On the farm I have a dog, chickens, ducks, horses, sheep, pigs, goats and a few cows.

I`m looking for people to help out around the farm with experience in house sitting, permaculture, gardening cooking and cleaning. In exchange I`ll provide meals and accommodation.

When not working there are many lovely spots in the local area to pass the time. With 180 acres of land there is plenty of space for quiet walks or a bicycle ride to town with the beach and the river close by,surfing, snorkelling, kayaking, kite surfing, swimming or fishing is possible.

The farmhouse is spacious with a cool covered veranda area with bbq, hammocks and comfortable chairs to relax in for the evenings.

If you would like to see a beau... more inside

Would you like to help out on a farm? We have the place for you! Our family run a mixed cropping and sheep farm in Coorow which is along the Midlands Route. We have sheep, cattle, chooks, alpacas, dogs and plenty of land that we use for cropping and grazing as well as over 300ha of native bush.

We currently require assistance with sheep work, gardening, a couple of meals per week, fence construction, general tidy up around the farm... depending on what suits us both, and this does change depending on the time of the year.

If you require some experience with looking for a full time farm job we can teach you to drive tractors or other machinery so that you have some experience.

In your spare time you may like to go bush walking or ride our horses, or if you would like to travel off our property we are only 10 minutes from town, 1 hour from nearby fishing towns, 45 minutes from caves and pinnacles and we are right in the midst of beautiful wildflowers during the right seas... more inside

Help wanted at a property near the Shaolwater and Penguin Island Marine Park... general renovation ranging from general repairs to painting and gardening. Guests usually do about 2 hours a day (or about 10 hours over a week) helping in Shoalwater or our house in Fremantle.
The location is ideal for beach-walking, diving, swimming, cycling, fishing, sailing and windsurfing. They even provide lessons in such activities. Why not check the local area by goggling "Shoalwater Marine Park". Free wifi available nearby.
Generally we dont have enough time provide meals (hence the two hour working day) but a well-stocked supermarket is just down the road. It is a good idea to bring some basics foods if you arrive at night. there are kitchen facilities separate from the caravan you'll be staying in, as per pics.
When you email please let us know when you plan to get to Perth and how you are travelling (flying in, driving or bus etc). If you are already in Perth, where you are staying and ho... more inside

We live in a Straw Bale house in the beautiful South West of Australia - with a Straw Bale Cottage for guests. The property is permaculture designed with a dam for watering the garden and sweet rain water for the house along with solar power. We have 102 Olive trees, a small orchard, some chickens for eggs and entertainment, a garden around the house and some natural bush with kangaroos roaming freely in the area. The main town, a beautiful selection of beaches, wineries and other tempting places are just a 15-30 minutes drive away.
We would be happy to welcome 1-3 people to stay in the cottage and help us with various jobs around the house and garden. 1 to 2 weeks but time frame can flexible.

I live in a large family home with my 21 year old son on a beautiful outer suburban property by a creek. On our doorstep are beautiful wildflower walk trails (and kangaroos!:) in Mundy Regional Park and Lesmurdie Falls National Park. Kanyana Wildlife sanctuary is nearby.
We have a large garden that needs lots of work. I have an art studio where I conduct art classes for children. The home is located in the Perth hills about 30 minutes from the city centre and 15 minutes to the airport. The accommodation is a large bedroom in our house suitable for a couple. The room has its own entrance door onto the surrounding deck. There is a shared bathroom and a large family kitchen.
I would need 15 hours help from each person for one week accommodation. Additional hours would be negotiated depending on the food/meals required. Full board, that is accommodation and three meals each day would require 4 hours work each day for 6 days. The help I need is mostly general gardening and some s... more inside

Current Projects
We have some outdoor projects currently - the main one being digging up lawn and re planting grass runners to grow grass for the horses and setting up new vegetable patches (organically). Our indoor work is graphic design e.g. using Photoshop, Lightroom or other software that you are familiar with. This is to prepare photos for use in e-books. Alternative indoor work is preparing meals if you like cooking. We also have painting and craft projects we can do in wet weather.

General Information
We have a 5 acre horse property in the hills of Roleystone and have been hosting Help X members for many years now. We find it to be very rewarding and love the exchange of ideas, skills and culture.

Aside from the horses we have productive and ornamental gardens which we run along organic and permaculture guidelines. We also have turkeys, geese, ducks, chickens, two dogs and two cats.

Nearby is Banyowla National Park with many walk trails. Here you can enjoy grea... more inside
