Beautiful views and a lovely rural setting close to an alternative town with plenty going on (Hebden Bridge) nestled between Manchester and Leeds in the South Pennines. We are also on a bus route and near a train station.

I would love people to help me with my smallholding and meadows. I have two cows to graze the land and a flock of chickens.

There are meadows with a stream running through. The plan is to develop the meadows for wild flowers, generate woodland along the stream and create a pond area to increase biodiversity. There is also a growing veg plot and newly planted orchard.

I am not registered organic but have an organic sensibility. I follow a basic permaculture principle and am focused on resource management.

I need help with whatever I am doing. I'm usually outside (whatever the weather), removing problem plants, generally weeding, planting, painting, building dry stone walls, making paths, moving stones or working on out-buildings. If the weather is very ... more inside

This is a homestay in the South of England; the house has 4 bedrooms and is surrounded by open countryside and with a large garden. I do receive a lot of requests from Helpxers and also from another similar volunteering website so I can not say yes to everyone but please do send me your travel dates and I will see if I have space. UPDATE: Please note that because of the world-wide spread of the Covid-19 virus I will not be taking any Helpers until September 2020 but of course you can message me about that, or about coming in 2021.

My name`s Anthony; born in the UK in the 1950s I moved from London to Hampshire in October 2014. There is a variety of work to do here. When the weather is good enough we could be looking after the garden; clearing the weeds, tending the vegetable patch, building fences, chopping wood, cutting the grass, raking up the leaves, planting shrubs and trimming hedges. Inside the house there will be general cleaning and helping to prepare meals. Usually we wou... more inside

We run a small, attractive 4 bedroom guest house, in picturesque St Ives Cornwall, England, which has 4 stunning sandy beaches and a working harbour. Our guesthouse is very close to the surfing Porthmeor Beach. Its an idyllic place to spend a few weeks, or a whole season, volunteering.

Due to COVID 19 affecting the travel plans of a couple of our volunteers, we now have a couple of vacancies open for August/Sept 2020. The accommodation is very comfortably and now has a double ottoman bed, for added storage. It is therefore best suited to a solo applicant, but would also work for an established couple - who are happy to share the compact studio accommodation.

We are flexible on timings and happy to discuss your preferred arrival and departure As a consequence of implementing COVID safety measures, the volunteer/s are only required to do room changeovers, some laundry and some basic gardening as required. You will work a maximum of 11-13 hours per week, (sometime between 10a... more inside

We are a free range, semi self sufficient dairy farm, milking cows once a day on a rotary parlour.

We enjoy having people to stay with us to help on the farm, getting to know new people.

We offer a room in our house and shared meals so if you enjoy cooking so much the better! A sense of humour is also very important!!

We are also renovating an old cottage nearby, so there is quite a bit of building work to do plus painting and decorating.
