I am looking for helpers to help me get my house in order. I am finding that I cant keep up with everything that needs doing. I would appreciate help with things like general maintenance, helping build a shed, lifting plasterboard and fixing, gardening, cleaning and things like this.
Anyone who can fix cycles would also be welcome as I have 2 that need attention. One that needs a new chain and the other problems with brakes.
In return I can offer accommodation and meals and help you to improve your English. I also have bicycles to explore the surrounding areas such as The New Forest and Studland/ Purbeck.
I live in Bournemouth, which is a very nice beach resort on the south coast. It has a lovely beach.
I live within a 15 minute walk or short bus ride from the Town centre, beach and nightlife.

When not exploring Bournemouth
there is lots to see and do.
The new forest is not far away with excellent walking and cycle trails and quant villages. It can be reached by train in... more inside

** Looking for a couple to help out during the last part of August and in September **

Hi we are Jane and Dave. We live in a small village in rural Lincolnshire in the East of England where we keep bees, chickens and pigs, and a lovely cat and grow fruit and vegetables in our large garden.

Weve travelled a lot ourselves, so its great to welcome people from around the world into our own home. We get the benefit of all the help with the animals, the garden and our various projects and enjoy the company of so many interesting people. We particularly want to hear from people with specific skills such as a real knowledge of gardening, carpentry or construction work.

This is a home stay, you live as part of the family, and it is really important for us to know that we will all get on well together. Part of living as a family involves helping with ordinary household chores in addition to the 'work' that you do - simple things like washing up, hanging out the laundry, helping w... more inside

We are now looking for helpers from about the 10th August for a minimum of 4 weeks and for the rest of the year and for all of next year.

We are close to town and sea with Dartmoor nearby.

Whilst we do prefer longer stays we will take people for as little as 3 weeks. But not less than 3 weeks, we find that the early days can be difficult for everyone and it takes a while to get to know each other. It also takes time for helpers to learn the routines.

Philosophy:
We have a small holding in Devon where we aim to grow as much of our own food as we can in an organic and sustainable way. So we have a small orchard a Kitchen Garden for vegetable growing, a fruit garden for soft fruit plus half an acre of flower gardens. We also have poultry (Chickens, various ducks, and geese) and there are bees which belong to a friend. The poultry are not for eating, but do provide us with a plentiful supply of eggs for most of the year.
Although not self sufficient in fruit and vegetables we... more inside

My 2 children (age 17 & 18), 11 chickens & I live in a 5 bedroom house (building site) with a large garden & lovely views. We need someone to help with the weeding and other gardening when the weather is fine & do some housework and DIY when it's not. If you have any skills in painting & decorating, we could really use them right now. In return you'll have your own room, TV and WiFi and be well fed as we love cooking and baking!

You will need to be fit & strong, like hard work & preferably know the difference between a weed & a (wanted) plant. A good dash of common sense will also go a long way. Must be a non smoker & I am afraid that I cannot host vegans. Either a single person or a couple is welcome; if there are more people, please still get in touch.

Working hours would be around 4-5 hours a day, 6 days a week but this is very negotiable. Work will usually be alone unless it is the school holidays, weekend or after my working hours however I work from home so I will al... more inside

As well as gardening, chopping wood, housework and cooking, we also need help with general maintenance, carpentry and some electrical work. It would also be good to have someone who is experienced with 2 stroke engine maintenance.

For 2019 we have a major digging job - removing a large amount of bamboo, This is heavy work and might suit a couple, or 2 men coming here together.
