We are a 19 acre smallholding 700 ft up a mountain North of Swansea and south of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We have a burgeoning forest garden and grow medicinal herbs, Its a creative, magical sacred place with lots of history, opportunities for walks and waterfalls. We have four children, chickens, and bees and a lurcher dog. We need help with gardening, fencing, brambling and fruit picking, building ponds and building maintenance. We are doing up a barn to run workshops and need help clearing and sorting. Work would be for 2-3 hours a day with the weekend off. You would provide your own food in the daytime, and we would provide evening meal, although help with cooking is appreciated. It would suit people looking for a quiet retreat, and sometimes we will be busy, so it is helpful if you enjoy your own company. Accommodation is basic camping at the moment, with yurt and compost loo, and use of bathroom in main house. It is a very rural setting, with the local town a 35 mi... more inside

After a long period not requiring help, due to illness we are now looking urgently for a helper, 2 friends or a couple to help run our holiday accommodation, bunkhouse, tipi and small campsite, as well as some animal husbandry looking after our horses and sheep. We would like somebody who can stay until around mid September, learning how we do things initially and then being able to put this into practice in our absence.

Helpers will be involved with the day to day running of our bunkhouse, tipi and small campsite; booking people in and out, answering enquiries, ensuring that the premises are clean and tidy, changing beds, laundry and general cleaning, grass cutting, and perhaps occasionally preparing simple meals for guests. Some days can be really hectic especially when there is a changeover between two big groups, other days when a group is staying for several nights, for example, there may be nothing to do except a quick inspection and dispose of rubbish.

Our native ponies... more inside

We have a lovely small holding which is half broadleaved woodland, half pasture, with a stream running right by the house, 2 ponds, large veggie garden, orchard, greenhouse, small herd of rare breed cattle, sheep and dogs! (See photos below of a 2011 help-xer with one of our lambs and 2013 help-xers cleaning out the pond!)

We would like help with looking after the animals including our active dogs, woodland management, gardening, preparation and maintenance of grazing land, weeding, planting, harvesting, general maintenance, perhaps light decorating, ironing when it's raining....and whatever crops up! We expect some help around the house such as washing up after dinner and perhaps cooking the occasional meal.

We offer accommodation in a refurbished 16th century cottage which is connected to the main house (see photo of room below). This will mean help-xers have their own sleeping & bathroom area tho' occasionally we may have other guests staying. You will see from the ... more inside

Our farm is a small, busy 23 acre organic family farm. We grow vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers that we sell directly at two local farmers markets, through our box scheme and to local pubs, shops and restaurants.

The farm is run by myself Nathan and my wife Alicia, along with the help of my mother Muriel who lives with us. We have two daughters, 4 cows and a small menagerie of cats, chickens and a dog, who along with the children are more or less helpful at any given time!

Where we farm is stunningly beautiful but quite remote. The farm is situated in the small hamlet of Llwyndafydd, with views of farmland across the coombe. Cymtydu beach is just over a miles walk down a beautiful country lane, with easy access to Cardigan Bays protected heritage coastline and coastal path. Lonely Planet has named Coastal Wales the 'Best Region on Earth' to visit in 2012.
We have a very active Facebook page, where we post loads of photo's and stories of our farming life here on the 'w... more inside

Hi and welcome!!
We are an acoustic private members club who are working on creating a community space for musicians and music enthusiasts alike.
We're looking for people to help with the development and running of our new space. We need to clean out our storage downstairs, cleaning and maintenance of the space and various small construction projects like the construction of a mezzanine.
Creative minds/ artist welcome!
We need to decorate this space and add a bit of life to it!

We're operating mainly on the weekends at the moment but looking to develop day and mid week events aswell.

We wish to find motivated people who can dedicate up 24 hours a week. We will provide some basic food like eggs, pasta, rice, bread, fruit and vegetables which you may be free to cook and we can occasionally take turns cooking.

We love to welcome volunteers at our Community in Wales, Uk as volunteers.

We are an intentional community currently made up of 2 families, and a couple, and some young adults. The children here are home educated.
We also have 2 dogs, 4 cats and 29 goldfish in the pond,12 chickens and a cockerel. We are interested in sustainable off grid living and eco education( the fun and interesting way), and in spring and summer biodynamic gardening and permaculture. In autumn winter we need help with wooding, building and carpentry. We are close to the Presilly mountains and not far to the coast.

In spring and summer the centre has guests come to visit to stay over summer in Glamping yurts and also a few rooms air bnb style aswell as a family camp festival week so it gets fairly busy and volunteer help is appreciated. We also have a home educators day run weekly all year plus other courses and events coming together. In autumn and winter we push forward with building and carpentry and m... more inside
