Croeso i Cymru! Welcome to Wales!
Come join us in a rural setting in the Welsh hills for some gardening and building! It's a wonderful spot to get away from it all and to come and breathe some proper fresh air! We are currently renovating our old family home, it's a 200 year old traditional cottage and we hope to make it into somewhere special that we can invite people.

There's a lot that it planned to do with the space, and I'd love for some other people to come and share the project with us. I'd like to stress that this work can quite heavy and dirty, and you should be prepared for rock moving, hole digging, concreting, furniture moving, and anything else that might pop up. Please send a message for more clarification, we'll have a better idea of what we're doing if you give us specific dates.

I ask for around 5 hours work a day, 5 days a week, and you'll get your own room and meals, which we can take turns at cooking. I try to be flexible with the work hours to accomodate... more inside

We would like to meet a couple who would like to do some fence painting, erect some shelving in the workshop and enjoy some light gardening work. We have a well stocked garden tool shed and about every tool you would need. Also it would be a bonus if you are interested in cooking in a well stocked kitchen and pantry.

Besides the garden I do have a well equipped engineering workshop capable of handling metal working and wood working. I have, in hand, a 200 year old pitch pine Welsh dresser that is half restored and needs some tender love and care all the rubbing down has been completed! Also I restore WWII workshop machinery and would love some help to finish a universal milling machine. Also on the waiting list is a 3.0 metre vertical drilling machine

We now seem to be in better health but we do need some assistance in maintaining the garden and outbuildings. We would prefer to take on a male/female couple who would enjoy our company as well as their own!

We live in a very... more inside

Our farm is a small, busy 23 acre organic family farm. We grow vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers that we sell directly at two local farmers markets, through our box scheme and to local pubs, shops and restaurants.

The farm is run by myself Nathan and my wife Alicia, along with the help of my mother Muriel who lives with us. We have two daughters, 4 cows and a small menagerie of cats, chickens and a dog, who along with the children are more or less helpful at any given time!

Where we farm is stunningly beautiful but quite remote. The farm is situated in the small hamlet of Llwyndafydd, with views of farmland across the coombe. Cymtydu beach is just over a mileís walk down a beautiful country lane, with easy access to Cardigan Bayís protected heritage coastline and coastal path. Lonely Planet has named Coastal Wales the 'Best Region on Earth' to visit in 2012.
We have a very active Facebook page, where we post loads of photo's and stories of our farming life here on the 'w... more inside

Help wanted! 2019 and beyond!

We have meadows, pasture, woodland, lakes and stunning views of both sea and mountain. We grow veg, meat and eggs and milk.

We want to live in the more beautiful world that our hearts know can exist. We are just starting out and this is on a small and sustainable human scale that we hope will provide food and fuel for visitors to the farm and the local community. We are using holistic management, permaculture and traditional methods.

As well as being productive, we want this to be a place where people can come and slow down for a while, to think about what matters in the world and what the world needs us to give back.

We have been here for six years, but itís a long journey, so much of this is aspirational, but we will get there (especially with your help).

We have a young family and so some of the time you would be left to your own devices for cooking and eating dinner etc so you would have to be happy to spend some time by yourself. ... more inside

We own a beautiful smallholding with woods and lake in Carmarthenshire. We have 3 goats, 2 cats, 3 dogs and 6 horses and I am a qualified Equine Facilitated Learning practitioner. We are looking for one or two people (couple/family) to help out on the land. In particular the woods. We are new to managing woodland so people with experience a bonus! Jobs would vary from chopping wood, clearing paths, mending fencing and general maintenance. As well as help with our garden and veg patches.
Also ongoing creative and animal based projects to get involved in for the right person/people.
Mostly outdoor work so a love and appreciation of nature and the elements essential!
We have only been in this property a few months and have lots of dreams and ideas. However one half of us works full time and the other (me!) would love to find some helpful souls to work alongside.
In exchange we can offer private studio accommodation with own kitchen and bathroom. Hours and other conditions negotia... more inside

The house is a 16th century manor house and out-buildings which we have been repairing for the last 35 years, using traditional and mainly recycled materials. We have wood, metal, pottery/ casting workshops, marbling/art studio,42inch HP printer,50 foot music/sewing loft, megga swings and zip wire, even a sound and vision space rocket to escape in.!!!. Help needed for the following; setting up veg garden, building restoration, stone and lime work, tree work, woodwork, metal work, help with general household duties and cooking would also be appreciated. Accommodation is in the house, which is historically original, but with all the modern conveniences. (various tents are available for those who want to be closer to nature.)Internet available.
One of the main goals here is to promote the use of lime in the repair of old buildings and the rather daunting task of getting new buildings to change over to natures best environmental building material! We are also re-use/upcycle master... more inside

Ducks, cows, chickens geese and lots of veg!

Great food and family environment with loads to do all the time!!

We are looking for volunteers to come and help out with a load of different tasks.

For e.g.in September I have a milling project that I would need two people to help carry wood that we mill from logs into boards and posts.

Or simply feeding them chickens and ducks. Lots of different tasks dialy to get on with.

Depending on skill level we would work out what we could do.

We offer board 2 people If you dont mind sharing a room. Double bed and a single.

We have had lots of helpers through work away and family and friends.

Lots of great food and super views walks and real country living.

Helping to clear brambles and weeds so no experience needed so long as you are willing to work hard. We expect around 25 hours per week work in exchange for food, room, use of wifi and washing machine. We cook the evening meal but you will get your own breakfast from the food we provide. We do not provide alcohol but don't mind you buying your own. No drugs anybody found using non-prescription drugs will be asked to leave immediately. We do not wish to cater for anybody following a special diet or who has allergies as we have found that this significantly increased the time we spend shopping and cooking- we are not an hotel! It would be great to have somebody who would like to stay for a couple of months in October/November/December so we can go on holiday for 2 weeks at the end of November. Experience of looking after geese would be helpful. Ours are friendly and well behaved. They need clean water, to be put in the shed at night and the shed needs to be kept clean. Paid work avail... more inside
