Welcome to south of Sweden.

The house is an old alcohol brewery from the beginning of the 19th century. For the last 50 years the house has been an art studio and gallery of our father and artist Curt Hillfon.

We are now developing a culture meeting point for art and music. One of the family member is building a ceramic ateljé. And will also give ceramic classes. We are building a café and planning on doing music events this summer. We need help with renovation work and painting and small scale cultivation. During the summer we will also need help in the bar during events. And with cleaning and gardening. We would like you to help us four hours a day five days a week. We love to cook so in return we will provide you with Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner and a nice and private space to sleep.

If you are a couple it is possible to arrange a complete private room. We live 20 minutes walk from beautiful sand beaches, at the East coast of Skane, which is a very popular su... more inside

Hi travellers!
We are a Swedish couple, age 30ish. We are interested in nature, creating, art.
Last autumn we moved into our house with a big garden, next to the forest.
We dont live on a farm, we have neighbours.
But we are interested in permaculture and we are slowly establishing a food forest.
We have free range chickens in our garden and a cat.

Our village has got a store, small library, football field, skate park, small hockey arena. Outdoor swimming pool nearby. "Porten till vildmarken"-"The gate into the wilderness" is the village slogan/future plan. Fishing possibilities. And lots of great nature, forests and fields :)
About 2 hours to Copenhagen.

As accommodation for our volunteers we have a caravan. It has got electricity, fridge, toilet.

We eat mainly vegetarian and vegan food.

You need to be able to entertain yourself while we are away working. And able to work on your own.

Please tell us what your skills and passions are.
Welcome to join us ... more inside

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE COMPLETE FOR ALMOST THE WHOLE SEASON, ECXEPT FOR SEPTEMBER.

We are a family of four and have small farm at the coast of the Baltic sea close to Oskarshamn. The farmhouse is more than a hundred years old and is located just a few meters away from a lake, which we can use exclusively for fishing, swimming and anything else.

A good work-life-balance is very important for us, and this is also what we have in mind for our helpers. It's not only working here, we also want to show our helpers the laid back Swedish lifestyle here at the Eastern coast. Both sides should feel that they did benefit from your stay at our place.

Hein: I was born in the north of Germany, and my profession as a carpenter has a very important role in the realization of our dream life. I’ve always felt at home out in nature, fishing, sailing or mushroom picking,. I like to work in the garden and cultivate home-grown fruits and vegetables.

Astrid: I love living in the nature... more inside

We are a family of four, (mum, dad, 9 year old daughter and 7 year old son), living on a hobby farm in the woods in the south of Sweden. We speak Swedish and English. We would like to develop the farm but struggle with finding the time. There are a lot of projects running or possible to start up, depending of your skills and interest. We love animals and for the moment we have sheep, hens, rabbits and dogs, but are thinking about getting ducks and turkeys. We also have bees and produce honey. In a big pond we have crayfish and farmed fish. We are self-sufficient in meat and wish that we could be better on producing vegetables.

Possible work is painting outdoors, building hen house, dog house, rabbit house, a roof over a parking space, a storage room and a room for slaugher. Gardening, planting, make a growing area for vegetables, help with houshold, and so on. It is possible to learn how to work in the woods, go hunting, fishing and pick berries and mushrooms. We breed shetland s... more inside

About us:
We are one of the larger experienced organic vegetable farms in Sweden still active and have accepted volonteers since 1991.

We are a certified organic vegetable farm that produces food for local consumption. We grow an abundance of vegetables and potatoes on 4 to 5 of our 50ha and on the rest, grains of many heirloom varieties of wheat and rye for our small home bakery.

Our vegetables are mainly sold through subscription baskets commonly called CSA (community supported agriculture) locally. We were the first in Sweden with CSA and have two "daughter" farms with whom we shared the way to start.

For more pictures see "bilder" on our website. See videos where we pack the CSA baskets there and also on cooking and nature walk in English.

We are in the process of reestablishing a permaculture designed forestgarden.

Time scheme:
We usually accept helpers for vegetable farming from Mid-February through mid-December.We are now planning the time after 21st of Au... more inside

!!!Thank you for your interest, but unfortunately we can't host any more helpers for this summer!!!

Hi there!
We are a friendly-loving-open-minded-multicultural-easy-going-outdoor-fun-making-absolutely-awesome-family of 5 :). The ones with two legs are Viola, Samir and Maris (3 years) and the four legged ones are Alice and Jokki, our two siberian huskies. In 2013 we set out on a long journey visiting and living in different countries. Since 2016 we live in the far north, close to the small town of Kiruna in Swedish Lapland.
Our home is a small wood cabin located on a beautiful piece of land surrounded by mountains, forests and the Kalix river. It lies between Kiruna (20 min. by car) and Nikkaluokta (40 min.). Nikkaluokta is also one of the entrance points for the famous Kungsleden hiking trail and to Kebnekaise, the highest mountain in Sweden.
This summer we want to renovate our guest cabin and the sauna and need some help with that. We also would like to have someone playin... more inside

Lapland Ranch is situated on the Arctic Circle in Swedish Lapland. It offers a range of summer and winter activities from Dog Sled Adventures to Arctic Survival courses. Winters can be harsh but the summers warm with 24 hours daylight.
Lapland Ranch seeks helpers for a variety of summer tasks including carpentry. maintenance, gardening and general outside chores. This is a family run business. There are 60 sled dogs at the Ranch and helpers should be happy to be around small children and dogs. Help is not necessarily with the sled dogs although in addition to the usual food and accommodation we can offer the opportunity to train the dogs, play with puppies and so forth. We always have lots of projects on the go.
Owners are English and most of our visitors are European so some English is preferred. Getting here is easy and we can give full directions and travel advice. The Arctic can be very warm in the summer and helpers will receive kit and clothing recommendations.
