Hello everyone!
____

We are two sisters and a brother (37,36 and 30) in a former farm house with a big garden close to the city center of Hall in Tirol.
Hall is a small picturesque historic town, with lots of nice cafés and cool bars (actually just one ;-)). But Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol is just around the corner, reachable by bike, bus or train.
If you are a sporty person, the area has a lot to offer: there are tons of cablecars, tracks and paths for hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, etc. There are also opportunities for more laid back activities, like cultural, subcultural and sightseeing stuff. We can always provide good advice and suggestions!

About the Helpx activities: in the garden we grow small amounts of vegetables and fruit. This is mostly our mothers responsibility, and she is always very thankful for a helping hand.
At the moment the helpers work with us on our construction project, where we conve... more inside

The farm consists of 15 hectares grassland, 11ha mountain pasture (including a lodge) and 65ha forest. I do organic farming and sustainable foresting.
My farm is home for around 40 cattle, some chickens and some cats currently.
Furthermore, we have a garden where we grow vegetables and herbs for self-care.
You can help in the garden, on the fields, with the animals, in the forest or anything that needs to be done around and in the house. It depends on what you are interested in and what time of the year you will stay.
Your working time is around 14hours per week.
There are many lakes and beautiful mountains near to us.
We also have a little fishing lake on our farm. You can swim in it but it's very cold. Around 7 °C
If your staying is longer you can also start own projects!
So if you are animal-loving, fan of healthy food and interested in natural living feel free to contact me mathiaspuggl(at)gmx.net

We bought and renovated a wunderfull old stone farmhouse (built in 1907) and are since continuously building up our farming-dreams. Right now there are already 14 hens and a rooster, 4 freeland-pigs, 6 bee-hives and 50 sheep (all our animals are old rare breeds). Furthermore there are our 3 kids and one cat. We specialized in sheep-dairy products (you can learn milking and cheese-making) and cultivation and maintenance of old orchards, consisting of apples, pears, plums, cherries, nuts,...
Your housing is in an adapted old camper with a wood stove for colder periods. There is a nice helper bathroom with a shower and seperate toilette in our house.

I (F, 70+) live near Salzburg in Austria, in a big house with a big garden.
It's a beautiful view of the Alps with stunning sunsets.

What we expect:
---------------
That you work 4-5hrs work per day for 5 days a week and 2 off.

You want to help me and can see where work has to be done (without being told) such as emptying the dishwasher, cleaning the dining table or kitchen surfaces and do not only wait for the list of duties; you work quickly and efficiently, do not waste like half a day on just little jobs.
In the garden its all about: mowing the lawn, trimming trees, and taking care of the plants.

You would like to stay for at least 2-3 weeks, the longer the better. Anything shorter means more work for us. Once we have explained the jobs you would already leave.

You keep your room and all areas in the house clean and tidy.

What we offer:
--------------
Free accommodation with your own private room with WIFI connection.

The kitchen and the bathroom have... more inside

To be close to the land and to nature

We are Kathi, Johannes and the children Mia (*2006), Romi (*2009), David Laurin (*2012) and Enja (*2019), a family that works a farm for their own requirements. Kathi grew up on the farm that is registered as an organic farm for more than 30 years now. We have got Krainer Stein sheep, goats, chickens, cats, a dog and two horses that roam about 5 hectares of grassland and forest. We grow vegetables on raised beds and a field in mixed culture. All year round we harvest fruits from the mixed orchards and berry gardens. In winter we fell trees to gain wood for heating. We prefer working by hand, but use our small old tractor if necessary. There are always new projects, like constructing fences, rain water systems, hill beds and so on.
Besides the work on the farm and with the children we play music and make handicrafts like felt products and children clothes or just sit around the bonfire and enjoy a warm summer night.

We are looking for vol... more inside
