Years ago I was a marketing student in Spain. Depressed and extremely unconfident about myself, an amazing and horrifying experience took place in my life, taking away from me everything. No more hope, no more dreams, no more sense, no more life.

And then, Life came in. With all its Magic, with all its Love.

I quit my studies, came to France, and travelled for some time around Europe and Asia, following an inner force that guided me towards a more human and nature loving existence. People, permaculture, biointensive gardening, yoga, meditation, healthy food, music, all came to me with such an obvious and important place in what started to become a happy, simple, rich and meaningful path.

The main goal of the project is to encourage and nourish positive change through the values of ecological awareness, mindfulness, individual and collective effort, creativity, joy and optimism, in a place where Human and Nature can flourish, as these are the sources of the Meaning, th... more inside

Well, due to the Corona Virus everything has changed. Since the lock-down I have not had any helpers. I had to do it all alone, well, as much as I managed. Now I should be very happy to have someone again to help. There definitely is more than enough work, though it does not mean that you have to work all day long.
What work has to be done? Well, first of all the ducks and geese need food and they like to have their place cleaned. There are a number of young chick and some of them probably still coming, so working with the geese and ducks (and hens) is quite pleasant. The peacock has had 4 young ones that are walking all around the garden.
We have cut a lot of wood, which partly still has to be cut and brought up to the house. There is still some renovation to be done. The wood of our miellerie has worked and has come apart in places and so it has to be redone. And the renovations of the baking house are practically finished. Then the entrance has to be done up nicely. But don't... more inside

Hello everyone,

Botanic and history, welcome to the paradise of the waterlily.

Cradle of Nympheas

I'm Valentin working in a historical garden in the beautiful region of Lot et Garonne. As I did few helpx before as a helper it's my turn to propose a place to stay share and learn.
I would like to share this amazing project here that Thierry Huau genius of architecture, landscaping and scenographe wants to do, through the history of Latour Marliac, botanist who created the couloured waterlilies. This man inspired the famous painter Claude Monet for his painting 'Les Nympheas'. My work consist to restore the garden, develop the project and create a kitchen garden. There is plenty of work to do specially as it is the beginning of the project. If you love plants, watergarden, veggies, bamboos, waterlilies, nature in general (at least 40 species of birds in the garden) here is the place to be! The garden is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by amazing old trees, the house is such a... more inside
