We are an NGO and work with our partner company registered in Guatemala running projects in Izabal helping the indigenous communities to become self-sustainable.

Volunteers will benefit in unquantifiable ways no matter what are you are helping us in. You will meet and grow personal relationships with indigenous Q'eqchi communities and you will be helping to make a huge and positive impact on their lives, coming away with a profoundly enriching life experience that you may find hard to walk away from.

We achieve self sustainability through the production of food crops such as cardamom, cacao and coffee exported world-wide while educating the communities to rely on themselves and educating them on nutrition, agroecology and community team-work.

Our head offices are located in beautiful Rio Dulce's town centre, Fronteras. Rio Dulce is a tourist destination, connecting you on the 'gringo trail' through Guatemala and Central America and the area is a natural wonder.

Accessible only by boat, we are located right on the waterfront in the small indigenous village of Santa Cruz looking out over the 3 volcanoes that surround the lake. We have a fun atmosphere in the hotel with family-style dinners every night and good parties on the weekends (occasionally weekdays too!). A great opportunity to meet other travelers and enjoy a fun place in stunning surroundings.

We own a small hotel, 10 rooms, in San Marcos La Laguna, Solola, Guatemala. Our hotel has a few budget and a few upscale suites, which we also rent as apartments.

It's an artistically designed hotel (to avoid the expression boutique) and we are very ecological minded. You will see a lot of recycled materials used in the construction and decoration of our place. We are 100 meters away from the lake with a great view to the volcanoes. I'm originally from Bremen, Germany, and my wife is from New York City. We've been living in San Marcos for 15 years. We have 3 little children and we want to spend more time as family. And that's why we need you.

San Marcos is a safe Mayan village, best known for yoga and meditation - as you're looking for that, it'd be a perfect fit. San Pedro with many bars and nightlife is close.

We need help at the reception. That means: Taking care of our guests, coordinating the staff and things like that. And we're always open for new ideas to make life ... more inside

This is an ambitious project to BUILD a sustainable ecovillage in the jungle near Livingston, Guatemala!

Our mission is to create a communal paradise. We are building a community where people are living in sync with their environment, instead of against it. We are building a community where wealth is shared, instead of given to only a few. And we are building a community that is full of opportunities, culture, and warmth -- a place where people in unison can live freely, creatively, prosperously, and with purpose.

Volunteer with us! Spend a few weeks of time with us. Have a life-changing experience and become an integral part of building our community. Locals passionately believe in our cause, but are often times too busy trying to make a living to have time to help. International helpers are a key part of our growing strategy, and as a volunteer you can truly make a tremendous difference.

We have so much exciting work to accomplish... As a volunteer, you can help us in a n... more inside
