We are a small vacation rental establishment on the coast of northern Baja California, near Rosarito, about a 45 minute drive south from the US border at San Diego/Tijuana.
The house is very large with 6 bedrooms, including one separate "casita". It's really a special place, perched on a cliff and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The house had been empty for several years and in disrepair when we took it over, but we are gradually bringing life back to it and we can really use some helpers who are strong and able to do some heavy lifting.
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT HELPING AND HAVE THE SKILLS WE ARE ASKING FOR!!! Communication is key. We are looking for people who have more than just a minimal amount of experience and who have these SPECIFIC skills: Construction/Carpentry, Building, Landscaping, Plumbing, Electrical. Since we are a small establishment we can only host 2 people at a time, so itís not a place to meet other people who are traveling solo. Co... more inside

Hey there! We're a hostel located right in center of Puerto Vallarta. We like having fun! We like going on adventures during the day, and going for a night out on the town. We work hard and we play hard. We strive to make our place as clean and comfortable as possible, and love getting into projects and artwork. We host backpackers from all over the world, and we treasure the social time we spend with them

As a hostel, socializing with guests will be a requirement. We will ask that you take people on hikes, to the beautiful beaches in the Bay, and for a fun night out on the town. Yep, you read that right! It is our goal to show our guests the way the locals do PV.

We will need help with cleaning. Generally, that will include help in bathrooms, common areas, laundry, and making beds for new arrivals. Occasionally, we may need help with ongoing art projects.

Accommodations include a single bed in a shared dorm with other volunteers, fresh sheets and towel provided weekly. Wi... more inside

We are a group of friends who decided to associate in order to join our different hostels and make one same and unique home for travelers sharing the same values and principle all around Mexico: always fun, a lot of love (especially for nature) and only good vibes.
Originally implanted on the Caribbean coast with our Chill Inn Hostel in Tulum, we fall in love with the Pacific coast and the previous Akadia Hostel located in Playa Zicatela. Akadia means Paradise in the old Mayan language, and as this quite well represented our motto, we decided to create a new hostel: Chill In Akadia Hostel was born.
In February 2020 we decided to create this new house for travelers, backpackers and all the other original life-lovers, and this is why we now need the help from motivated people to help us construct our project.
The help required covers a wide range of skills: we need persons for repairing and re-accommodating the hostel, which includes painting, deep cleaning, working with wood and ... more inside
