Hi there!

Thank you for having a look at our profile!

My name is Momen and I am the owner of a ***family-run hotel in downtown Amman, Jordan.

We are looking for motivated and hardworking volunteers who would like to join our hotel staff!

Work includes helping the staff preparing and serving breakfast from 6.30-11.30am, 6 days a week (+ cleaning, washing dishes, interacting with guests and making sure their stay is going well, etc). Sometimes help is also needed at reception.

We want you to enjoy and discover the vibrant city of Amman, so the afternoons will be fully free.

We provide accommodation in the dorm room (male/female separated), which you will be using most of the time alone.
As for the meals the breakfast will be included. You can find many cheap places around the hotel to get dinner and experience Jordanian food.

Arabic and English spoken among the staff. If you want to learn or improve your arabic skills, our staff will be very happy to help you and... more inside

Hello! We are the owner and manager of a small business in the Wadi Rum Protected Area of Jordan. My name is Awdeh, I am 28 years old and am a Bedouin native of Wadi Rum. I live here in Wadi Rum village together with my good friend Khadijah who is a 26 year old Canadian woman that lives and works with me. Together we own and operate a tourist camp in the Wadi Rum Protected Area.

We are currently seeking a helper who is knowledgeable and proficient (preferably with a professional background/ formal education) in the design and upkeep of websites. Essentially we are looking for someone with a business/ advertising oriented IT background to help us in organizing, consolidating, and updating our online presence in order to grow and strengthen our business.

In exchange for this help, we are offering room & board here in our home in Wadi Rum Village. In addition to this the helper would be able to take part, free of charge, in the tours of the Wadi Rum Protected Area which we regu... more inside

Hi everyone! We are a very laid-back family looking for some spare hands to help us in our everyday life. I'm from Finland and my husband is local Jordanian Bedouin. We have a daughter, who is 1,5 years old. We live in a small Bedouin village called Wadi Rum. It's an amazingly beautiful valley right between two big mountains and in the heart of Wadi Rum desert. We have a local style house with few rooms (you would have your own room) and a yard that surrounds our house. In our backyard grows lemon tree, vine grapes, olive tree and some fresh mint, that we use in our morning tea. We live pretty relaxed and stress-free life in an authentic Bedouin village. We don't have any specific timetables, we do the things based on feeling, get up when the rooster sings (or later =P) and lay our heads down when feeling sleepy. My husband's family still live in a traditional Bedouin way in their tents made of goat hair (but we live in a house and there you would have your own room :) ). They have ... more inside

1st off, I would like to start out thanking you for dropping by, and taking the time to go over my page.
I have created this page solely due the fact to make it easier for volunteers to find a place of comfort and enjoyment, during their travels abroad. For we all know the pressures of offering our services, in exchange for accommodations. And my priority is to make it easier for the traveling volunteer, to find these local establishments. During my stay here in Jordan, I have come to meet many people, with wonderful hearts, who are in need of assistance. There are a multitude of task available, such as (Travel Agency, Restaurants, Hotels, Farming, Teaching, Office work and many more), it just depends on what you are most comfortable doing during your stay.
Again thank you for your time. And if interested, then looking forward to hearing from you!
Safe Travels!

We are a tour guide business operating in the majestic Wadi rum desert in Jordan. We offer accomodation in traditional Bedoiun bivouic tents under the stars n the desert, we do jeep tours, camel tours, hiking, climbing and much more!

Helpers would be expected to help with the tourists, sometimes accompanying them on the tours, sometimes answering their emails. It is very easy work and you would never work more than 4 hours per day.
