This is a quiet place to live and t.o enjoy time slowly

Hello. my name is "Yoshinaga". I speak a little English and I will try hard to communicate with you.
I live in Motoyama-town in Shikoku. This is not a tourist spot. It is a small village in the countryside.
I run an organic farm with my family. The main crops we grow are delicious vegetables such as tomatoes. I always think about a good lifestyle and world peace.
The region has many old, historical rice terraces, and there are many mountainous environments around the beautiful river. Great views.

Work includes harvesting vegetables, shipping, washing vegetables, planting seedlings, removing grass, pruning, general agriculture work, and sometimes helping to sell our vegetables at local markets.
Work with me in various agricultural jobs. The work is easy and safe and you will learn a lot.
Work will start at 8:30 am. Lunch is provided free of charge. The afternoon is free time. The weekend is free for you to enjoy. Yo... more inside

My husband and I are Buddhist priests, running a 450 year old Pure Land Buddhist temple in the mountains of Kyushu. My husband is the 17th generation priest of our family temple. We are busy with the temple and our family and need help with gardening, cleaning, cooking, laundry and lots lots more. We have a luxury Lodge for overnight stays and need help with bed making and cleaning. We also want the helper to walk our dog, who is big, very enthusiastic but a complete softy. Also, our cat likes to hang out in the helpers area, so you need to like cats and dogs. We give preference to helpers who have a valid International or Japanese driving license.

We run a hectic household so be prepared for more chaos than tranquility.

We are NOT a Zen temple, so we offer no zazen meditation.

We live in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Spectacular gorges, terraced rice fields and wonderful night skies. Our temple is in an extremely rural area with very little local transport. So... more inside
