We have an Art Deco house in a street that is lined with cherry plum trees. We have no children or pets. Help with the garden would be appreciated as well as general duties around the house. We are 10 minutes walk from St. Clair Beach and the hot salt water pool. An excellent bus system every 15 minutes takes you into town.

WE ONLY TAKE HELPERS WITH A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS OF RIDING EXPERIENCE.

We own 25 horses and go out on up to 3 treks a day in this stunning location in Queenstown.

We welcome experienced confident horse persons who'd like to help with the horses and treks from September to May. Stays of four weeks & longer are preferred (many of our helpers enjoy it so much they've stayed months.... one says she's staying 3 years!!)

Most of our guests are beginner riders so we need our guides to be very competent riders in order to focus completely on our clients.Jobs also include helping to muck out paddocks, looking after the horses eg water and feeding, paddock cleaning. Maintenance of horse tack and riding gear. Saddling and unsaddling horses before and after treks, washing and brushing horses. Taking off the horse's covers on sunny days and putting them back on before night or bad weather. Along with other odd jobs around the house and gardens. Our trekking season is over summer a... more inside

We want to produce more food on our urban, organic 1/3 acre and could use help with gardening work. Some of this work is light and some requires strength for digging and carrying. People interested in Permaculture and self-sufficiency would like it here. Learning is continuous.

There is a bee hive and some shiitake mushroom growing logs that may need watering.

Usually we also have house maintenance jobs of one kind or another. So we have a variety of work and try (within what needs to be done) to find something that suits our helper.

Our 1906 villa sits on a north-facing hillside. It takes 40-50 minutes to walk here from Dunedin city centre. Two bus routes stop nearby. Helpers have their own room and share our bathroom. We eat a little meat and fish but are primarily vegetarian ---- and can host vegans who do not mind what we eat. Our family has a young man with intellectual disability.

We ask you to stay for the minimum of a week. St Clair beach and salt water pool are ... more inside

We have a lovely very versatile farm here, depending on the time of the year the help needed varies. From housecows and lots of baby animals to care for. To the food season, growing our own veges etc. The wool craft industry is always going lol... We eat meat every evening mostly grown by ourselves. Our internet is limited but there.
We are situated well away from our neighbours. You would be most welcome to come and live our lifestyle of work and play. Close to an intercity bus pick-up.

We are a family of 5, with 8 & 5yr old boys and a 7m baby girl. We live here on the family orchard in Roxburgh. Work would not be on the orchard, more just helping out with our gardening, lawn mowing, house maintenance inside and out (ie washing windows and we have alot of white walls and surfaces that regularly need cleaned down). We would really like to get the deck tidied il and painted before summer!! Really just some of the extra tasks we run out of time in the day to do. We can negotiate hour if you would prefer to supply and manage your own food.. otherwise we usually offer meals and accommodation, WIFI all provided in exchange for 4hrs per day ;)

Roxburgh is halfway between Dunedin and Queenstown/Wanaka. Half an hour south of Alexandra. We are a busy little town that is really thriving and growing.

Your room is the only bedroom upstairs and has it's own ensuite - albeit a little outdated.

You need to know that our water supply is from an irrigation dam so it is ... more inside

We live half way between Lakes Wanaka and Hawea beside the Hawea River where we have a small farm mostly forestry with Highland Cattle and Dorper Sheep. We also have all the usual horses, dogs, cats, hens and the occasional pig. We have both traveled extensively and enjoy hearing about other peoples travels. We have a large warm house with all the expected mod cons including a pool, spa and internet. You would have your own bedroom and bathroom. The types of work we would like you to do is primarily outside, helping with our pest eradication program, clearing noxious vegetation, tree planting and gardening. If the weather is too cold then we can find work for you inside. We would provide all your meals and would expect help with the preparation. We are more than happy to hand over the kitchen duties if your talents lie in this direction! We are both fairly relaxed about hours and find that it usually averages out at about 4 hours a day and there is plenty to do in the region on days off... more inside

My husband and I live in beautiful Wanaka just minutes from the lake.
We have been working on our renovation project which is a big house and a huge garden which we are getting to the end of now.

However there is still lots to do, we are looking for a couple or friends that love gardening and getting involved in building projects, odd jobs mainly outside, chopping wood, weeding, planting, building. So if you have experience and skills in these fields please get in touch.

My husband Jase is a film maker and Kiwi and I am a cook from the UK so you will be well fed :) We also have a Border Collie puppy called Snoop. We are 30 and 35 and love working on the house and adventuring on the lake in summer time.

We ask for 4 hours work a day in exchange you have a bed and meals sorted for you.
