Our farm is located at Merton in the foothills of the Strathbogie Ranges in North-East Victoria about 50 minutes drive from the snowfields of Mt Buller.
Merton is a small farming community with the tourist town of Mansfield about 30 minutes away by car. Three other country towns Alexandra, Yea and Euroa are a similar distance. Melbourne is just under two hours drive away. The area is extremely pretty with farms scattered among the rolling hills and the valleys. Merton village is very small with a few houses, an old church, one general store and a public recreation area that includes tennis courts.
Our farm offers a true piece of Australian rural life with more than 330 hectares where we breed Angus cattle and have an assortment of chickens, two dogs and a cat and our cows have calves at foot.
We also share the farm with numerous kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats, parrots and the occasional koala.
We would prefer to have a couple. As payment for your work we are offeri... more inside

Ri and Neil live in lovely Bacchus Marsh (a town 40 min from Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat). Ri is a ceramic artist and works in her home-based studio. Neil works at Melbourne University in research computing.

Over the past couple of years we have had a fabulous experience hosting French, Spanish and German couples who have helped us with all sorts of house things (e.g, painting, garden work, kiln fabrication), as well as being wonderful company.

We continue with our seemingly never-ending program of home improvements. So our current set of tasks are
- levelling and paving (with bricks) an area under a carport
- weeding and distributing mulch and other garden jobs
- distributing and compacting a gravel area (already made)
- replacing some garden bed bordering

So if you fancy some garden fun, please drop us a line.

A big Hello to you!
I live 350km north of Melbourne in a little place called Mt. Beauty and I need some HELP in the garden! I live alone and also run a Airbnb from my house. Spring has arrived and everything is growing so fast that I can't keep up, so there is everything from weeding, pruning, mulching and some general house maintenance to do.
Mt. Beauty is a beautiful country town situated at the bottom of the mountains and ski resort of Falls Creek. Take a look at our website https://www.visitmountbeauty.com.au/ for information about the immediate area, or look at https://www.victoriashighcountry.com.au for a more broad information around the area. So if you appreciate Australian nature then you will love it here. There is plenty of native birds, Kangaroos and wombats, and lots of outdoor activities to do including hiking, walking, fishing, bike riding and horse riding. You can get here by train if you do not have a car. The service runs from Southern Cross Station, Melbourne on... more inside

We have recently purchased one of the oldest houses in Daylesford (1852) and are lovingly restoring it back to its original form. Using all reclaimed and natural finishes. It is truly a unique home with 2 x separate cottages in the garden. We have done most of the building works and now need 2 people to help with light maintenance, gardening, painting, labouring and some restoration and maybe some cleaning once we are set up. The country village we live in is one of the most famous in Victoria for vineyards, resturants, walking, the beautiful lake and many other attractions. We are a friendly couple, who eat well, are easy going. You will have your own room with ensuite.
