At our home in Tallarook:
Here we are blessed and live very well in abundance. We grow vegetables, practice meditation and yoga, and have yoga based workshops. Some current projects are seeking to keep animals (establishing preparations for cows and chickens, we have baby lamb), establishing infrastructure for an upcoming yoga festival here in November, and establishing bees.
The gardens are always in movement and action. They feed us well and give surplus i summer for events, markets and pickling.
Gathering firewood for our warmth is also a great winter activity.
The property has an orchard of 90 trees that in winter we can prune (I love pruning trees) and in summer can eat the fruits and pickle them also!
The broader property focuses on grape production for wine making. There is also paid work here during harvest time, and often help needed at other times with training vines and trellising.
The property is super accessible to Melbourne (just one hour away) so we may often g... more inside

This is a beautiful property - and requires some ongoing general property maintenance.
Jobs including gardening - weeding, mowing, trimming, mulching and some painting. The choock shed needs a bit of attention, nothing to major, just general upkeep really.
I`d be happy to have you here, no smoking, drugs or alcohol.
The property backs onto the beautiful Tarago River and has a variety of native bird life around.
For those wondering - there is plenty of space to park your RV and hook up to water and power!
Longwarry North is in West Gippsland, its about 1hr 15 minutes from Melbourne CBD, about 1 hour from Philip Island and Wilsons Prom, at the foothills of the Strezlecki ranges and Mt Baw Baw. Some very beautiful country to explore around Gippsland. Your own vehicle is a must.

Lorraine needs help to exercise and care for her many horses.

Lorraine also has two very friendly dogs - Boy (dalmatian) and Hetty (Doberman x Staffy).

She welcomes helpers who have experience with horses and can exercise youngsters and older horses. Special consideration is given to those who have owned their own horses in the past.

Some assistance with general farmwork etc. may also be appreciated - any helper should be able to carry out tasks with minimum supervision :)

Lorraine can accommodate helpers who do not have their own transport. Arrangements can be made to collect from the local station etc.

Lorraine's property, Woodstock Stud is within 5 mins drive of the Wallan station (Vline Train services almost an hourly service into Melbourne) the journey takes 45 mins to the city. Easy access to the freeway too.

Lorraine's property is located near to the Mount Disappointment State Forest in Victoria which is in easy riding access (via quiet roads) for tranqui... more inside

COME AS STRANGERS.....LEAVE AS FRIENDS :-)

We are a couple of middle aged parents with a beautiful energetic young pre-schooler, passionate about developing and living in a sustainable world. Dad manages the dairy farm where we live, while Mum is home schooling our daughter.

Dad spends the majority of his time running a large scale dairy farm, however in our spare time we are developing another 5 acre property with permaculture principles in mind. We are hoping to find people who would be happy to join us in this endeavour, whilst also helping around the house and dairy, and with our daughter.

We are located about 2 hours from the city, in a region that has diverse farming operations-from vineyards and market gardens, through to dairy and sheep.

We'd love to share our rustic, no-frills life experiences with you here, in exchange for your willingness to help us as we work in our food-garden, care for the animals, and play with our kids in the great Australian outdoors. O... more inside
