Hi Travellers, My name is Tom and I have 28 hectares (70 Acres) of regrowth forest in Glenlyon, Victoria, with a couple of cleared hectares in which the residence and gardens sit overlooking the river flat.

The gardens suffer a little from a couple of years of neglect and wallaby assault, The river flat is in the process of being cleaned up, quite a bit of fallen timber is being sliced up and taken to the woodyard.
The property is off grid, solar powered, aiming for self sufficiency, and full of interesting wildlife.
My main short term aim is to clean up the area around the house of fallen timber in preparation for the coming fire season. I am rushing about making the place bushfire safe setting up a circle of water throwers and getting places ready to install a couple more water tanks. So I'm burning off and cutting wood and chugging around on a tractor dragging things around. Clearing the blackberries, and lugging the trailer full of logs up to the woodyard and get it full a... more inside

COBURG, MELBOURNE
We are a family of two adults and 2 children.

We are passionate about organic permaculture gardening and composting and are involved with working in festivals and community gardens. We are seeking help with a range of things from gardening, child caring, cooking, landscaping, labouring to small business management so welcome someone with one or many of these skills.

Our home is close to both train and tram networks in a multicultural area of inner city Melbourne. We have a lovely space in a studio with a composting toilet and private shower and simple kitchenette. Wifi yes.

We are flexible in the working eXchange though base it around this expectation: 4 hours work for 5 days of the week with 3 meals provided (helping to prepare/clear up after dinner is not part of the 4 hours). On the 2 days off a week, which are preferably weekends we provide breakfast and encourage you to go exploring.

We farm French Black Truffles in a beautiful location, just 90 minutes from Melbourne, close to Phillip Island, Wilson's Promontory (great bush walking), natural forests and many beautiful beaches.
The work available may involve planting, weeding, pruning, soil improvement and seasonal maintenance specific to truffle farming. The accommodation is in the home on the farm.
This location would ideally suit a person with a vehicle (though not essential) so you can take advantage of discovering this very special environment.
I am also a truffle farming consultant and industry educator. This is a great opportunity to learn a great deal about truffle farming.

Hi we are a family of five and live on a 60 acre lifestyle property close to all of the great locations in East Gippsland. A 20 minutes drive to Lakes Entrance, 5 minutes to protected Rain forest and great fishing spots, 15 minutes to gold prospecting regions and less than two hours to the snow during winter.
We are currently building extra rooms to our house which is totally off the grid so we are on tank water, solar power and wood fire heating.
150 meters down the hill is a great little cabin that is self contained for guests and family. The cabin is private and secluded.
We offer accommodation in exchange for some work. The work would include mainly building works but also some gardening and collecting firewood.
We prefer non smokers and people who are interested in solar home off the grid living and enjoy the natural bush. A small town called Bruthen is a 4 minute drive for supplies or Bairnsdale which is a 15 minute drive.

We run a sheep grazing property. It is in the volcanic grassland country about 2hrs west of Melbourne. The farm is 14km from the nearest town, and 60km from Ballarat, a large provincial city. We have easy access to train and bus services. We have good, but limited internet.
The land is rolling grassland, interspersed with areas of volcanic rock.
We are a family of five, with children aged 16,21,and 23. Our eldest is currently in Canada on a HelpX property.
We are looking for someone who is self motivated, clean and tidy, enjoys people, and is willing to have a go.
We are looking for someone to help with farm duties, and some maintenace as needed.
We have had lots of international visitors to our place, however this is our first go at HelpX- Our home is a busy, friendly and safe place where we hope you will join in as a family member. We would expect about 25-30 hours per week in exchange for room and board (good food!). We are quite flexible however, and would help if you ... more inside

We live in a beautiful area east of Melbourne close to national parks with excellent bush walking tracts. We have a friendly cat and Rhode Island red hens, Leghorns, wyandotte hens.
Public transport is available from Melbourne on the Lilydale line. We live directly opposite the bus stop.

We have a large garden with a number of medicinal weeds/herbs some of which I made into creams and medicines, as I am a Herbalist. At the moment we need help in the garden, pruning, weeding, mulching, house cleaning as well as carpentry skills and painting skills. We are looking for help from 10/12/18. We love cooking however some exchange with cultural foods would be appreciated.

You would have your own room with double bed, toilet and shower. We are flexible with work hours. Require people for a week.
