Hi,

We are currently looking for helpers for some garden mass plantings in September where the weather is still cool and hopefully the natural irrigation will be plentiful :)

We have a largish urban bush block where we have recently created some paths which give us access to the tricky steep parts of the garden - and now we would like to fill these slopes with native plants. You would be helping to cart soil and mulch from the roadside down to the bottom of the garden, dig holes and fill them with plants, bag them so the wildlife don't munch them on the first night - and celebrate!

We are hoping to plant about 300 small to medium size plants.

Ive put some garden photos on here and a shot of the flat.

We live about 3km from the centre of Hobart and have direct access to the mountain biking and bush walking tracks of Mt Wellington. We are close to the rivulet track which is a cycle/walkway direct to town.

We have a beautiful self contained small studio under the ho... more inside

We are looking for people to help with setting up the garden, building structures and systems and general property maintenance = 8 hours/week. Our Shack Palace is super DIY built out of pallets only and recycled nails! The land includes direct access to hundreds of metres of creek and falls with mysterious tracks weaving across the valley. Deloraine is our closest regional town and is one of the leading craft & art centres in Tasmania. We are close to Highland Lakes, Cradle Mountain and other amazing wild natural areas. Our greatest love is being out in them there hills. We are both seasoned mature travellers who are practicing craft people, working in both wood and warm glass. We have a small acreage with a few sheep, chooks, vegetable garden and fruit trees. We have a comfortable home that offers private bedrooms, Internet and a fresh menu. Bream Creek where we are located is a stunning location of rolling green hills looking out of the Tasman Sea, we are also quite close to Hobart Airport (30 mins), Hobart (45 mins) and Sorell (20 mins) or Dunalley (10 mins). There is a fantastic beach nearby as well as plenty to do and see, especially if you like the sea and outdoors.

Inter-city homestay with friendly family who require help with young children, light domestics and over-enthusiastic garden.

Our family:
We are a busy urban family of 5:
MI (dad and general keeper of sanity) works full time from home in IT,
MA (mum and general creator of fun) works part time in HR,
GA (13 year old girl) is an avid coder and football player,
EL (3 year old girl) has an exuberant sense of creativity
RJ (almost 1 year old boy) is sweet as apple pie

Our house:
We live in a big old house (with a new kitchen/living) a short walk from the center of Hobart and with easy access to bush and bus for exploring this fabulous city. We eat extremely well (MA used to be a chef) mostly from locally grown produce, and top end meat and dairy. We are fairly active in our local community and try and get out most weekends - where appropriate you will be welcome to join us and our friends in these experiences. We are hoping to re-start our vegetable growing this spring. We ... more inside

Tucked away on 27acres within walking distance to a great surf beach we care for injured wildlife - in particular birds of prey, breed free-range pigs and have a variety of other animals including Highland cattle and 2 very energetic dogs including a 10 month old puppy. We are looking for someone to house-sit whilst we are away from 12 August to 5 September. Must be confident with the dogs as the pup is large and bouncy! Off-grid but with all the mod cons - NBN, Netflix etc and close to great beaches and bush walks including the Tasman National Park. There are a few unfinished projects in the wildlife rehab area if anyone was keen.
