We live in a beautiful Tasmanian bush setting in the small town of Margate, just 20 minutes south of Hobart. We have a strawbale and celery-top timber house, and a small self contained cottage where Help Xer's can stay. The cottage is very comfortable with own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge room.

We are a family of four - (early 40's) with two energetic young boys (2 + 4). We both work part time and enjoy the outdoors.

We would like to host Help Xers for a number of jobs around the property that we dont get time to do! Such as working in the veggie patch, weeding and mulching, landscaping and even building a cubby house. We would also welcome help with the housework.

We are looking for helpers in August 2017.

We are a family of four (and we have a very friendly Labrador!) We have a 2 hectare block of land. We live about 20 minutes south of Hobart in a peaceful bush setting, with walking tracks from our house. We can arrange pick ups and drop offs in to Hobart. We are also a five minute drive from Kingston, and we have many beautiful beaches and walking tracks close by.

We have a separate and very cosy and comfortable 2 bedroom (sleeps up to 5) fully self contained unit with full kitchen, own bathroom and wifi, which is available for helpers to use. We would expect 3-4 hours work per day (depending on number of helpers) in return for accommodation. Meals could be included if required. Length of stays are negotiable.

We need some help to finish off some projects on our land, and require helpers with rough building skills. Work might include fence building, building an orchard, general gardening and landscaping.

Our property is a permaculture designed farm in the hills above the Huon Valley. We produce pastured eggs, vegetables, fruit and nuts that we sell at the local Farmers' Market. The horticulture enterprises are balanced with hens, ducks, sheep, goats, worms and a horse.

Jobs at the moment include feeding hens, collecting eggs, working in the vegetable gardens and orchards, and harvesting apples. We process our apples into juice and bottles for winter. We generally work 6 hours a day, 5-6 days a week, but are flexible around the weather and outings.

Accomodation is in a large and clean bus, with meals eaten with the family. Some of us eat meat, some don't - all good!

Our property overlooks the Huon River, where we enjoy swimming, rowing and relaxing. We enjoy sharing our experience and knowledge with those that are interested, and love to hear of yours.

Single mum of 2 gorgeous boys. 4 and 7. 1 is at school full time and the other is in childcare as I work full time as a manager. I have travelled all over the world and also worked in other countries and as an Au Pair. I am looking for someone who loves kids, willing to kick a soccer ball, pick up my kids from school and help till i return from work. If you are confident in the kitchen and would enjoy helping with evening meals that would be great. Light house work would be great but my main priority is my children. I am very flexible and happy to work with you to come to an arrangement that works for both parties. The boys stay with their dad every second weekend. All weekends free and happy to go on adventures with you and show you around. I grew up hosting exchange students and have been one also. You would be welcomed as part of my family. I enjoy sport and hiking too.
You will have your own room and share a bathroom with the children.
Happy for short stays or slightly longer... more inside
