We need help in June, July and September October for 2 people staying for 3 weeks to 2 months - please get in touch soon if you can - thanks! If you like trekking, marketing or renovation this is for you. We have a trekking business and some apartments in an old farmhouse you could help with. We have bikes you can use and your accommodation will have WIFI.

We are keen on outdoor activities in the process of renovating an old farmhouse which is 20 minutes from the downhill ski resort Ax les Thermes and 3km from Tarascon sur Ariege.

In July, August and September we are running a few supported treks in the Pyrenees and are looking for help from keen mountain walkers or trail runners to help us with food and kit preparation and support the wild camps for this period too. The trek follows an old escape route from France to Spain. We also need help with marketing and design work on an ongoing basis.

We would provide you with cooking facilities, a bed and money to buy food. Y... more inside

Hello, we look for some people willing to help this spring and summer. We are planning to make a mezzanine on the 2nd floor, put the wooden floor, put the mud plaster on the walls , carry some straw bale with a long tyrolienne across the valley... Gardenning all kind of different vegetables for the seasons and to make preserves for winter. Maybe we'll work also on an extention beside the house. And we'll be very happy to meet new people, to share and spend some good time together in this beautiful place. Have a great travel and looking forward to meet you!
(some more explanations below after short notice in french)

Salut, nous cherchons du monde pour la belle saison à venir pour participer à un joyeux chantier collectif sur une maison pierre, terre, bois. Nous continuerons aussi à cultiver nos jardins... Hi there,

we are Kim and Katrin, a couple running Existo, an inspiring retreat & therapy center overlooking the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains in the wonderful countryside of the historical Cathar Region, in the very South of France.

In our domain at the edge of the forest, we're hosting a small campsite, eco-lodges, mobile homes and rental cottages. We have a beautiful swimming pool and a wooden sauna next to it. Some cats and a few free-roaming chickens will to greet you regularly (no dog). In spring, horses roam on the domain (and they're never far away in summer).

The surrounding area is great for nature lovers, it has an abundance of medicinal and edible herbs. There are many exciting walks awaiting you: through the local natural labyrinth, to the lakes, to the Cathar castles and into the Pyrenees mountains. On your way, you'll easily stumble over lively markets and beautifully flowered medieval towns all around you. It's a mysterious land of old celtic and Katha... more inside

Vous pourrez... more inside

** Help needed from september 1st onwards... with the arrival of the baby, plus the little boy, plus the house...! **

OUR FAMILY AND PLACE :
We, Marion and Clément, are a couple with a little boy, Eliott (2 1/2 years old) living in an old farm, in the middle of nowhere. We are surrounded by forests and fields at an altitude of 1250 meters. We have great view overlooking the mountains of the Massif Central. The place feels wild and pure. We`re totally isolated from other houses and roads : there is a 1,4 km dirt track to reach our farm from the main road. We are actually situated on a pass called «col de la Charousse» which divides the Ardèche department from the Haute-Loire department.

OUR PROJECT is to renovate the house and the barn. We want to open a hosting place, a place where we share ideas and energies.
First we renovate the house where we live in.
Then the barn, where we will hold children scholar trips, holiday camps, workshops (clowning, drawing, chess, cooking... more inside

We are a retired english couple living in the Limousin. We are creating a forest garden using permaculture and organic growing methods. We avoid meat and eat well, often our own organic produce
We can offer cosy accommodation in our timber cabin with bunks.
Work is very varied to adapt to peoples` abilities, skills, age, weather etc and can include land-clearing, making terraces, building a compost toilet, making compost, planting trees, sowing seeds etc
We are 1/2hr cycle ride from the nearest rail station or we can pick up from St Junien or Chabanais. We prioritise folk avoiding air travel for ecological reasons.

We are Dom & Liz, and run a B&B/gite business from our renovated farmhouse, set in 7 hectares with panoramic views of the Pyrenees mountains.

We're closed for the spring to tackle landscaping and renovation projects - digging the vegetable garden, building woodsheds and indoors a yoga studio.

The work is quite varied and would suit people that like physical/outdoor tasks. Any practical skills are appreciated.

We look for around 25 hours of help per week, in exchange for accommodation and food.

Accommodation is normally in our adjoining gite, and you have access to wifi, sat tv & free calls to uk/us landlines.

We are 5 miles from the nearest town. We can lend you a bike, and help out with lifts now and again, but its essentially a rural location.
