Hi, I'm Aldo and in Sicily a few km from Taormina a rural house located in the hills at 450m above sea level, surrounded by nature. I would like to host volunteers to help me renovate it and at the same time make my experiences available in the field of organic agriculture (how to produce wine, oil and vegetables of various kinds) and teach the ancient traditions of our territory (such as making bread, pasta, lighting a wood fire and then cooking and everything related to ancient traditions). Since I speak Italian I prefer people who speak my same language but I do not exclude other languages. I can host up to a maximum of 7 people.

We are looking for helpers to help with general maintenance on the land, pruning and cleaning the trees, making raised beds etc.
We are Caroline and Richard and we live in Bosa, on the north west coast of Sardinia and have an olive grove just outside of the town, about half an hours walk away. It's situated high above Bosa with stunning views of the Temo river valley and a glimpse of the sea in the distance. There are about 300 olive trees and we are looking for people to help with the harvesting of the olives as well as general care of the trees and the land. There are also terracing walls that need to be rebuilt, fencing and general maintenance around the place. We have a veg garden where everything is being grown to organic standards.
We have converted our house in the town into 3 apartments, 1 for us to live in and the other 2 for guests. These 2 apartments will sometimes be available for helpers to stay in, mainly in winter. We have wifi in the house. There is also a small h... more inside

We have not been very active in the last 2 years because we coudn't accommodate helpers. We would like to host again for short periods (1-2 weeks) . Our place is a family-run B&B in a country villa near the town of Velletri in the Castelli Romani hills. The villa is 25km from Ciampino airport and 45km from Rome, which can be reached with a direct train. You can see us on our website.
We are an Italo-Scottish couple with 1 child still at home aged 17, our two daughters have left home and are studying in the UK, they visit during holidays. We have 1 dog, and a few cats living in the house, so we cannot accomodate people with pets allergies.
Paul works in Rome, so I look after and take care of the property, and I would appreciate helpers who can work at least 4 hours a day, so you have to be fit and strong enough to work in the garden (for a total of 20 hours a week), I get up at 6 o'clock in the morning, so if you want to help with most of the chores you need to get up early in t... more inside

We are New Zealanders who have settled in Central Italy where we have converted a old wine cellar / cantina running as a B&B. We live here with our 2 cats and 3 chickens.

We prefer to host a guy, or a couple or two friends. It is outdoor work and may be more suitable for lads (or a guy & girl couple).

LOCATION: We are in Le Marche, 35kms west of Ancona. Marche is Central Italy, east of Tuscany/Umbria. It's a good jumping off place for visiting Croatia and Greece. We are on the busabout route and near mainline trains to Rome.

I am an architectural engineer, embarking on my own project of sustainable housing in the deep south of Puglia Salento region. Work started in September and is expected to last 1-2 years.

The scope of the help needed is to build a sustainable housing/hostel complex. The future use of this structure will be to host backpackers from around the world, offering an economically viable solution within an authentic rustic landscape, portraying a preserved example of building techniques pertaining to a pre-petroleum peasants' animal farm.

Participants will be granted food, sleeping accommodations, and will be asked to work two days and will be free on the third day to enjoy the wilderness, the seaside, and the coastal towns.

Musical, artistic and nature-friendly interests are greatly appreciated.

Presently I need the following skills:

- building/woodworking
- farming
- social networking,
- general cleaning/cooking.

Ecological/experimental and traditional building tech... more inside

I have just published on AMAZON "Luisa Puccioni: war diary" that tells the amazing story which took place on this house in 1944.
This farm is at the edge between the forest and cultivation, in a hidden valley of the Chianti, 30 minutes form Florence. The NEW part of the villa dates fron 1600. The foundations are Roman. Ghosts available. A long history of disputes on heritage now resolved, I am back to my roots to reclaim the land, which has gone a bit wild...Chestnut forest to tidy up, Olive trees to tend, and I want to plant figs, raise chicken and geese, produce timber.
You can learn to cook Italian if interested.
I mean REAL Italian.

A first round of Helpers-John and Ben from UK came round and got so enthusistic we ended up having two other friends of theirs. They did a great job.
Since then, we have gone along way, and Helpers played an important role.
Now we even have the Jacuzzi working..but don't expect luxury.
The homestead is now reconstructed, we are down to th... more inside

This farm was born from the desire of the whole family and they grow forage crops, have chickens, pigs and rabbits. There is also a small wine production and fruit and vegetables all grown organically. Rosana, owner and cook makes her menus from dishes that farming families eat all year round, improving them and adding her own personal touches. The friendly family atmosphere is created mainly by Ottavio, Rosannas husband, who has always done his best to make people feel at home. We ask you to collaborate and integrate into the farm and help with jobs such as seeding, harvesting, making preserves, season after season, from the fruits of our soil.
we provide for the accommodation and for the food, and the work in the farm is about 6 hours per day.
