My wife and I are semi-retired on a small rural property ten minutes drive from Kyneton (one hour train journey from Melbourne). We live in a mud brick cottage with room for guests.
We have vacancies for volunteers during the summer. Our volunteers work for twenty hours a week in exchange for board and keep. Sometimes we have some paid work so we may be able to help with second year visas after a suitable trial period.
Helpers are expected to do their share of household chores such as cleaning, washing up,cooking.Absolutely no smokers please. We eat very well here and usually bake pizza and bread in one of our several wood fired ovens at least once a week.Vegetarians are welcome.
Our passion is to embark on projects which are aimed at gradually changing our circumstances so we are living more sustainably. .
