This project starts from the beginning of December. Please do not apply for dates before then.
Hi, Thank you to all the applicants who have applied but not got a placement with us. We appreciate your interest. We are an older couple living in a quiet suburb of Melbourne, very close to public transport and about 25 minutes from the City centre. At the moment we are looking for help for quite a different project and we feel that it would suit either an older couple, or a couple of friends. You would need to have your own transport and be keen on the beach, hiking, the natural environment etc.
This project is to help our daughter with work on her house in Venus Bay, a town near Wilson's Prom and Phillip Island. The work that we need help with at the moment is the replacement of a wall on the east side of her house. We managed to do the wall on the west side last year as a family but the east side will not be so easy so extra help will be great. It is difficult to set definite hours a... more inside

I have a wonderful property within walking distance to train 10 minutes in the Yarra valley. I currently have two bedrooms available. I am a professional woman in my late 50s and two adult children 26 & 29 who call in and lots of nieces and nephews in their twenties. I require help with some painting and household maintenance gutters cleaned, lawns mowed. My home borders the Yarra valley wine growing area which offers seasonal work. I also have a house on the Mornington Peninsula walking distance to the beach that also require general house hold maintenance. I would take people to the beach for the weekend. Initially I am offering a week stay with the
option of extending. Helpers must be able to speak English. It is a non smoking house. I eat wholesome food so any dietary restrictions you would need to cater for yourself and take care of your own washing. I am looking for enthusiastic travellers. Must have own travel insurance and working holiday visa. Hours needed approximatel... more inside

Who we are Seeking: A female or possibly a couple who would enjoy a mixture of work on a farm: gardening, house tasks, some farm tasks It would best suit someone flexible who enjoys a neat clean surrounding (we do). If you could help me learn to speak Spanish that would be a plus.

Our Approach: We look at this largely for the cultural interaction as well as getting things accomplished. We try to structure the tasks to allow you to have time to go walking, a go on short trips locally (there is quite a bit to see in this area).

Where you would stay: On a nice sheep farm in Western Victoria. We have a comfortable guestroom/with en suite near the house. We like nice meals and you would eat with us.

A bit about us...

We are a family farm-- husband, wife . Our children are 24 and 21 and are away working and at university. The farm is a sheep/ wool property in a lovely setting in western Victoria.

We really enjoy meeting people from overseas.

Volunteer project Gippsland Victoria, Permaculture farm Eco Village

I want to create a community where people can live, grow their own food, do their own thing while looking after the environment and the community, be artistic and inventive, learn from each other and teach yet others again.
My permaculture farm, nature reserve and timber plantation is located 200km east of Melbourne in Gippsland,
The landscape is kind of like ‘lord of the rings’ story environment. It’s called a cold temperate rainforest. It is totally remote, stretching over several mountains and valleys with clean drinking water, native forest with massive centuries old trees (no pesticides ever been used to my knowledge). Cliffs, bridges, creeks, waterfalls, some old growth forest, fern trees, abundant wildlife etc. I guess you get the picture. We have a lot of rainfall so stuff never stops growing. But it gets cold in winter (regular frost overnight).
I want to find like minded people (there are three of u... more inside
