We would like to welcome a handyman, carpenter, landscaper or gardener to our home (whichever one comes first!). We live in the beautiful leafy surrounds of Eltham, which is is a 45 minute drive from the CBD, or a 50 minute train journey to the CBD from the local Eltham train station.

Eltham is known as one of the prettiest suburbs of Melbourne, very lush with gum trees everywhere, and walking tacks, the river, and nature parks at your doorstep. Mudbrick homes can be spotted across the suburb and even the large local Eltham library is built of mudbrick. Though itís a suburb, it really feels like you are living in the country with city conveniences.

In exchange for 4 hours help a day 5 days a week (or 20 hours a week at negotiable times) you will receive accommodation and meals, staying in your own spacious room downstairs with queen bed, sofa, woodheater and an outdoor spa for use outside your sliding doors in your own little courtyard (that needs some work to make it private ... more inside

Hi we are a family of five and live on a 60 acre lifestyle property close to all of the great locations in East Gippsland. A 20 minutes drive to Lakes Entrance, 5 minutes to protected Rain forest and great fishing spots, 15 minutes to gold prospecting regions and less than two hours to the snow during winter.
We are currently building extra rooms to our house which is totally off the grid so we are on tank water, solar power and wood fire heating.
150 meters down the hill is a great little cabin that is self contained for guests and family. The cabin is private and secluded.
We offer accommodation in exchange for some work. The work would include mainly building works but also some gardening and collecting firewood.
We prefer non smokers and people who are interested in solar home off the grid living and enjoy the natural bush. A small town called Bruthen is a 4 minute drive for supplies or Bairnsdale which is a 15 minute drive.

This is a small horse property located in South West Victoria. We run a small riding school for people with disabilities (fb: All Abilities Equestrian). We work with young horses and have a vaulting team. We offer helpx opportunities to people who are experienced horse riders or have a vaulting background. I currently have a young horse under saddle that need to be ridden and given general life experiences. We also have three vaulting horses that need to be lunged and worked with every day (fb: Van Someren Equestrian Vaulting). We have a vegie garden and an orchard that need a bit of attention. Any help would really be appreciated. We are interested in hosting confident, self-driven people who want to be a part of a busy family life and love working with horses and people. We aim to show our visitors the local sites and tourist attractions. A good mix of work and pleasure is important to us.

Looking for help to create a mini-Eden 30min from the city. I work full-time as a researcher, sometimes as a Permaculturist in my home studio. As I have a lot on, I'm looking for someone observant & self-directing, able to see what needs doing. Tasks incl gardening in 2 courtyards, tending 20+ fruit trees, helping build a water-catching system, home maintenance, website creation & helping with organising my P/c teaching & design work. My home has 'just enough' beauty & usefulness, combining P/c & minimalism. Reservoir train station is 5min away & there are many creative places to explore in Melbourne. Accom for 1-2 in own room, or sofa bed. Would suit singles or a couple, over 22 years of age. Shared meals, or food provided for you to prepare your own. Meat-based diet. No smoking on property. No children. Contact me with information about your hobbies, interests & hopes for the future. Initial stay 2 days, longer stays neg up to 2 weeks.
Availability: Available March.

We recently moved with our 15 month old daughter to a beautiful bush property just outside of Woodend township.
We love travelling and meeting new people, hence why we felt HelpX would be the perfect place for this.
Your space would be the self contained cottage and its charming private dam.
We can discuss how you could help but the main ideas would be house renovation, garden setup, child care, help with house duties.

We have an 1861 ex school on two acres we are putting in organic gardens and landscaping including some painting
We are wanting workers for 5-6 days at a time.
The work is fun and we would prefer two people at a time.
At the School live Donna my wife and I we have no children, we are both just 50 and pretty laid back. And run a local newspaper business from our home office, The accommodation offered is new, self-contained and detached from the main house, it is quite spacious with a kitchen dining table and shower toilet bathroom.
We are only nine minutes by car to the beautiful town of Daylesford (Google it!)
We have kangaroos in the wold within walking distance as well as a public dam full of trout two minutes walk away.

As we are a journalist and photographer couple we are always on the road around our district and would love to share our special part of the world with visitors.

Both Donna and I have been backpackers around the world so no what it is like to travel.

Merbein is situated near Mildura on the Murray river. There are direct flights from Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide to Mildura and also bus services. Mildura is a tourist area with river activities, fruit growing, wine region and is on the state boarder with N.S.W and a one hour drive to S.A.
I am currently renovating some houses and am looking for people with any building skills, gardening, and general handy man skills. I will supply all tools and will be working with you and will help and train where ever I can. I can pick you up from airport or bus station. There is a bus public transport stop for transport between Merbein and Mildura located less than 50 meters from the houses. I have available a house with cooking facilities or a furnished cabin. Ideal opportunity for a longer stay for a couple, or two friends in a beautiful valley just off the Great Ocean Road behind Lorne, Victoria. Jenny and Quentin Young are hosts providing charming self-contained accommodation, and light farm work in the hundred year old organic apple orchard. Idealyllic valley setting.

There is the excellent opportunity for visa extension with an approved local business. Own car an advantage as the property is 2 km from town. This stay has delighted several French couples in the past. Much seasonal paid work available locally.
