We live in a beautiful old weatherboard house 25 minutes from the city and close to a cafe strip where there are interesting cafés, bookshops and restaurants. A bus goes to the city from the end of the street or it is a 20 min walk to the train.

The work is 4 hours per day for each person. The work is not difficult. Gardening, cleaning, oiling the veranda and deck and most importantly walking Willow the dog.

There is one spare room with a double bunk bed, with new pillows, sheets, blankets and towels.

If you have a van that you are happy to sleep in we have room for you to park it in a nice quiet spot at the back of the house that also has a power supply.

Please tell us -

* if you have any gardening, handy or trade skills
* if you are ok to work independently when we are not around
* if you will do 4 hours of work with a smile
* if you love cooking; we will supply all food, and you can cook for us

* if you don't mind getting your hands dirty
* if you ... more inside

Would you like to come and help us create a permaculture haven on our new farm? Our 46 hectare farm is in a wonderful location, between Pemberton and Northcliffe, surrounded by beautiful karri trees and with the munda biddi biking trail going past the door and only a few hundred metres from the Bibbulman walking track. We have an accommodation business with 4 cottages, as well as 2 netted orchards, vegie gardens, an aquaculture development with several dams and marron( local freshwater crayfish) ponds, 12 cows, 6 sheep, 9 hens and our gorgeous little dog, Bunny. We have been helpX helpers in France a couple of years ago, helping to build a strawbale house, so we have been in your shoes and know that you want to have interesting experiences. There are many projects and we are constantly experimenting to find the best solutions, following permaculture principles. We also want to give our guests a great experience, so we are upgrading the cottages and you can learn a lot about woodwork... more inside

We are a family of 5 looking to host one or two people. We have 3 children (age 5, 7, 10) and a dog, so it's a good idea if you like/tolerate kids and dogs.

We live about 4km from the town of Denmark on a farm of 125 acres. Although close to town, the ride/walk is not for the faint hearted. Your own transport would be helpful, but not essential.

The range of work available is diverse and depends on the skills you have to offer. There are things to do around our house, in the garden or on the farm.

We offer accommodation in our caravan with a shared bathroom in the house. We provide you with food to prepare your own breakfast and lunch. Evening meals are enjoyed together.

We ask for 4 hours work per day in exchange for meals and accommodation. Happy for you to work extra hours one day and take a day off. Non smokers please.

My 3 small children and i live on this beautiful block 2km from the beach and 7km from town. We grow vegetables and have many fruit trees as well as ducks and chickens.
There is also a healthy area of bush that makes a great camping ground. The property backs onto national park and reserve,Mt Hallowell and Monkey Rock.
Most work around the place is in tending to the garden, fruit trees and grass control. You would need to enjoy kids and there may be some child minding involved too if appropriate. Other jobs to choose from based on interest and skills include gardening, chain sawing, painting and handywork.
We are really keen on our children meeting people from all over the world and being exposed to different cultures and ways.
We have a caravan set up for our helpers so you have your own space.

Hi i'm Dom. Born and raised in Perth. I have a 5 year old son that stays on some nights.

I can accommodate a single person.

I am living in a small unit opposite the beach in Rockingham, Western Australia very close to Penguin island.

The unit is close to public transport (bus) to the train station.

I am vegetarian but have no problem if you want to cook meat.

I'm easy going and laugh a lot and enjoy cultural exchange.

I prefer helpers who are quite social and keen to have chat even if they have limited english. And really enjoy good conversation especially around the dinner table.

I am self employed and also have a government job. I distribute plumbing supplies online and also do shift work as a fireman.

I have no pets. Just a ton of pot plants..

My house is non-smoking completely inside and outside so non-smokers only please.

I'm a very easy going guy and make dinner at home when i'm not at work on nightshift. I would want my visitors to join me ... more inside

Sorry no availability at this time: Hello I live in the leafy suburb of Hilton which is a 5 minute drive to the centre of Fremantle Western Australia and we are 5 minutes drive from the beach and close to public transport.
A room in our new solar passive home is available and am looking for some assistance with mainly carpentry and landscaping. I also appreciate assistance with cleaning and dog walking.
Must be dog and cat friendly and know how to share a living space in a respectful way. Our home is fairly quiet and I work full time and the room is private and you'll have your own bathroom. I would prefer mature (or mature outlook) home stayers, clean living, non smokers (or occasionally) and no heavy drinkers please. I love to travel and exploring different cultures so travel stories are a must!
I care for people and the planet and have lived in Fremantle for a long time and can direct you to the places to go especially for good food, coffee, arts events, yoga, markets and mo... more inside

Hello! I need help with fencing, general maintenance, home renovations, landscaping and gardening at my large old home on a one acre block on the edge of the town centre. I have chickens and fruit trees and want to get a vegie patch going. I may also need some cleaning from time to time. As far as your accommodation goes, there is plenty of room for a caravan, with access to a bathroom of your own and the use of the laundry. Some meals/food can also be provided if required. My place is walking distance into town, Middleton Beach is a short drive or a 40 minute walk or 20 minute bike ride via the scenic boardwalk. There are also bush trails on the doorstep.

My name is Kathleen, I live near a small country town of Darkan in Southern Western Australia, making permaculture garden beds to grow organic food as an expression of life style, not for commercial enterprise. so routine is varied and flexible.

UPDATE: OCTOBER Summertime is nearly here, a good time to be outside! You can learn to do things in the garden, use tools to build something, watch movies, cook or bake cakes. Currently no vegetable gardens due to water issues.

I offer an almost self contained loft/bedroom for free accommodation and meals in exchange for general help around my home and property. This may include gardening, cooking, building, cleaning and helping with any ongoing projects like light building or constructing of garden beds, retaining walls, shade house, cleaning gutters or putting in fence posts. All tools and machinery are available if you are confident and competent with their use.

Volunteers are welcome to cook or share their cuisine and items n... more inside
