I am a classical guitarist and Raphaelle is a jeweler, an avid gardener and passionate about healing with traditional methods using herbs and plants. We also have beehives and a produce honey.

Over the past few months we have not had the time to keep our garden and veggie plot in order. There is a good deal of trmming, shredding and weeding to do. So we'd especially appreciate someone with sensitive gardening experience but who would like to hike in the nearby pine forests and mountains and visit the sea coast, la cote bleue. Aix, just a few minutes from here is gorgeous and bustling with cultural activity. The Alliance Française has courses set up in Aix and we will work around their schedules.

You've got your own room and bath and a separate kitchen for the times when you have your meals on your own. Cheers, Dana

In a little farm of Normandy, the work is mainly to keep the property in a good state to welcome. Also, you would be able to take part to the harvest of the different products and take care of the garden. The kind of job, the schedules and accommodation/food are flexible according to your wishes. You could stay there at least 4 days until several weeks if it goes well.

ENGLISH VERSION : (VERSION FRANÇAISE EN DESSOUS)

My name is Emmanuel, I am living in Mas Després, a raw food community where we do permaculture.
I am graduated in naturopathy. I have been helping on organic farms during my travels in Australia, Brazil, Asia ...

The land of our community is about 8 hectares where we are planting fruit trees and vegetables in the spirit of permaculture.
We have some figs trees, plums, apricots, peaches, persimmons, cherry trees, almonds, grapes..., some of them are still young some others just starts to give fruits.

I need help in the orchard, for taking care of the baby trees, planting new trees, and sometimes other works.
When I work in the orchard I like to take my time to feel a good connection between me and the nature in the garden. There are some beautiful insects, wild birds, gekos, wild edible plants.

I will be very happy to share my knowledge in permaculture and to receive your opinion and share our experience.

We run a bnb with cottage and gite in Normandy. We are both English. The property consists of large gardens and a number of out buildings. We have a 1 acre field where we grow our own produce and is also home to our chickens and ducks. We also have three cats. It is very rural, therefore peaceful and tranquil. You will have your own gite for the time you are with us. Transport is available providing you have a current driving licence. We are 2km from the nearest village and 12km to either Bayeaux or St Lo. The D-Day beaches are a must, with Omaha just 15kms away. There is a stork haven nearby, where the biggest colony of storks in Europe congregate in the spring. We would like help with the gardens, cutting back shrubs, weeding etc and decorating the properties and helping Andy with maintenance. We would prefer a non smoker.

Hello to you, and welcome to our HelpX info page. We hope you will find our page interesting, informative, and most of all, appealing to you.

Kath and I are down-to-earth Yorkshire ex-pats who would want to make you feel welcome, at home, & relaxed at our Belle Maison, which is about 170 years old. We live in the commune of St Pardoux, Deux-Sevres, in a very small and very quiet hamlet of just 3 families. St Pardoux is 8 km away from the historical town of Parthenay. Poitiers is an hour's drive away, with Tours, La Rochelle and Nantes being about 90/120 minutes away.

In early spring 2020, help is needed to clean and tidy up a couple of overgrown hedges, and general tidying of the garden for summer. Power tools (chain saw and hedge trimmers) will be used, so we would need helpers with some experience. We will be doing our fair share of the work, so you will not be on your own.

Small garden design. We will be planting two narrow (1 metre wide x 6 metres long) flower/plant ... more inside

Originally from the North East of Scotland we moved to Central France and bought the abandoned farm in 2008 after selling up in Scotland in 2006 and down-sizing to a camper-van with our two huge dogs and touring around Europe looking for the right place to put down some roots. We are working towards being as self-sufficient as possible-renovating the buildings and developing the land using eco-friendly, sustainable techniques, resources and energy. We have one hectare of land surrounding the house and a further 2 hectares of overstood, abandoned coppiced woodland that we are attempting to regenerate to provide our fuel; building materials; material for basket-making; charcoal-making etc. and just for being a beautiful place to spend time in and have fun!
The hectare of land is divided into pasture for animals and a potager/vegetable garden and orchard for food production. We are joining up these areas to create an all-encompassing "forest garden".
We have recently given up our g... more inside
