I have a spare room at my house in a Dunedin suburb where I would love to exchange for someone who is keen on gardening. Some meals provided but you will need to make some food yourself because I have work during the day every day. There will always be a hot be dinner! There will be breakfast stuff for you to make your own breakfast and tea and coffee and you can use the kitchen of course.

This is a warm house where I live with 2 flatmates 1 Irish and 1 from Belgium. I am a teacher/bar tender (Kiwi), strength and conditioning coach (Irish) & our other flatmate works in hospitality.

The house has a huge fire that we use sometimes and is also insulated. The room available has a double bed and small built in desk. It is heated by transfer from the fire. We also have a seperate kitchen dining room.

There is unlimited broadband internet and gas hot water. We don't smoke inside but it is ok to smoke outside the house.

There is a bus stop just around the corner (at Raglan Par... more inside

I own a small seaside property in Harwood on the Otago peninsula which I am currently developing towards the goal of self sustainability... Harwood is a quirky coastal village 25 minutes from Dunedin with real character and it's own relaxed vibe. Home to many artists and alternative lifestylers, it offers peace and quiet with all the wonderful adventures and opportunities of being right by the ocean, with a sandy beach only a stroll around the corner and The Royal Albatross Colony a short car or bike ride away.

A one bedroom completely self contained bach (open plan kitchen/living, bedroom, bathroom, laundry) nestled privately among native bush is available in return for work around the property; fencing, vege garden prep, tree trimming, lawn mowing, garden design and planting, landscaping, painting and other tasks. Be sure to bring your creativity with you. A driver's licence would be advantageous as some driving may be involved (vehicle provided).

I'm extremely easy going a... more inside

Hello! We are a family of four living in Dunedin - Maryann, Patrick and our two children, Joe (2) and Ivy (1). We live on a large section in a beautiful, old. run down villa, which we are trying to restore. We want to try to keep the wonderful period details in our house (the lovely fireplaces, original carved wood, ornate ceilings) while making it a comfortable, warm, environmentally friendly home.

Our home is a short away from gorgeous surf beaches (St Kilda and Tunnel beach), and a ten minute drive to the centre of the city). We have several bikes you can use, which may need some work. There is a bus stop right outside the door. This is a great spot for surfers or people who want to explore Dunedin city and the Otago Peninsula. The Peninsula has albatross and seal colonies, as well as amazing walking tracks and New Zealand`s only castle.

We would like help with restoring the house. Jobs would include basic painting, gardening, cleaning, housework or chi... more inside

Hi there!. I have a lovely house in the very centre of Wanaka. We have a downstairs bedroom with its own bathroom.
We are looking for a friendly helper to help make a few dinners per week, a touch of light cleaning and stay home with my children some evenings. In return you get free board and food on the nights that you cook.
This would suit someone who wants to have a day job and is prepared to help out in evenings. My children are reasonably grown up so its basic supervision only. :)

Welcome to NZ! We'd love you to come and stay in Dunedin. Only 5 km from from central city, we offer a single room. I am a 40+ woman living with lovely guy Phillip our funny little cat 'Lucy'.

I'd love help with general house keeping (inside and out). Most days there is a small amount of house-work (hanging washing, preparing meals, dishes and a little cleaning) as well. We moved in 2017 so a bit of help un-packing and organising things will be helpful.

For some HelpX, depending upon what experience they have - there are opportunities to help with with my on-line business. All sorts of skills are needed - photography, copy-writing & editing, videography, social media skills, graphic design, business administration, finance and accounting, creating data bases and marketing activities.

I am looking for helpers who are self starters and who are willing to take pride in their work. I have a property that I am currently renovating and it needs a bit of work to tidy it up and make it presentable. Jobs like painting, water blasting, gardening, laying pavers, etc.

If you are willing to get stuck in and lend a hand out would be awesome if you were to work approx 4-5 hours

In exchange for your effort and enthusiasm, I will provide you with accommodation, power, internet and, all meals.

You will have lots of time to explore beautiful Oamaru while you are here.

Get hold of me if you are interested.

I live close to the center of Oamaru, but the house has a country feel. It's quiet and you wake up to the sound birds and, at lambing time, sheep. Its an old railway workers cottage with a tin roof, claw foot bath and and a coal range, which I still cook on.

Right now I want to tidy up the (organic) garden. That mostly means laying down cardboard and leaves to keep the weeds down and regenerate the soil. There is also firewood to put into sacks and bring up the path too. So the work is pretty physical, and you will need to be ready and willing to put that effort in. Inside I am finishing stripping paint off the old doors and shelves in the kitchen, and sanding them down, and I need help with that too.

In exchange I offer nice accommodation, ultrafast broadband, and good coffee and homemade bread. Sadly right now I am too poor to offer food as well, but you are welcome to veges from the garden.

Ideally I want people for a round three to five days or so.

I am a male,... more inside
