My wife and I are semi-retired on a small rural property ten minutes drive from Kyneton (one hour train journey from Melbourne). We live in a mud brick cottage with room for guests.
We have vacancies for volunteers during the summer. Our volunteers work for twenty hours a week in exchange for board and keep. Sometimes we have some paid work so we may be able to help with second year visas after a suitable trial period.
Helpers are expected to do their share of household chores such as cleaning, washing up,cooking.Absolutely no smokers please. We eat very well here and usually bake pizza and bread in one of our several wood fired ovens at least once a week.Vegetarians are welcome.
Our passion is to embark on projects which are aimed at gradually changing our circumstances so we are living more sustainably. .

We are both film makers /photographers and Miguel is a musician Our house is located in Cottlesbridge. We are surrounded by kangaroos, echidnas and kookaburras and ringtail possums. Ten minute drive to the train station. We are also near some beautiful swimming spots We are all really relaxed and definitely not strict about hours with help we want you to enjoy your stay there is a spare room or a loft that is also a lovely space to sleep with the coonara fire underneath. Quite often my people have come on jobs with me to give them a different perspective of work life in Australia and those experiences have been invaluable as the work is very interesting at times. Hello! I live approximately 5 minutes drive from the centre of the city of Bendigo (population 100,000) adjoining the Greater Bendigo National Park in Victoria. It's about 2 hours north of Melbourne. My home is a 4 bedroom two story Cape Cod style home surrounded by bush (with lots of kangaroos and wallabies). I have 2 dogs and when my youngest daughter is not traveling, she lives with me too.

I have various odd jobs to do in the garden and yard. e.g. mowing, painting, clearing drains, as well as some household jobs, e.g. cleaning windows, etc. There may also be the opportunity to help me with my work - I run a sport, recreation and community planning consulting business. Meals will be supplied. Accommodation consists of one queen sized bed.
