The garden is situated in the picturesque village of Gissing on the Norfolk and Suffolk border approximately 20 miles south of the city of Norwich and 5 miles north of the market town of Diss. There are good rail and bus links to Norwich and London. Gabriel’s Garden is a small (approximately 2/3 acre) but quite literally ‘growing’ business, we specialize in growing a wide variety of flowers and foliage's renowned for their seasonality, fragrance and simple beauty to use in our onsite floristry studio.

We are looking for helpers to stay and help with a variety of jobs from February to November to help keep the garden growing: weeding and ground work, sowing, planting and at certain times harvesting. As a guide we aim for 5 hours work per day, 5 days a week. The aim and ethos of the business is to be as sustainable as possible, we don’t use chemical sprays as we want to encourage a natural biodiversity within the garden, which means the majority of the work is done by hand.

Hi,
I will not be hosting this summer but things might change...you can always contact me...
I recently moved above my shop which is in Torquay 2 min from the sea with my two daughters. We also have a cocker spaniel. The shop is open 5 days a week and I need some help with the kids and the dog and maybe the shop. Both of the kids are at school from 8.45 till 15.15 and I don't need anyone every day. But sometimes I will need help at weekends. There are no difficult task around here - just helping a bit with the household and the kids and maybe the shop. If you love the sea side and would love to be part of a little family - please get in touch. We need help from April. As the kids are young I prefer people who can stay longer periods as too much change might upset them. Ideal is 3 to 6 months.

Looking forward to meeting you:)

Anita

Ps..I used to own a hotel so the reviews are from that period. I do not own the hotel any more.

We would like to welcome you to our beautiful period (1705) rural village home. We live with two daughters (5&4) who are fun (ok I’m their dad but others agree!!), 2 whippets, and a big fluffy cat called Ernie...

We are looking for a couple or a single who are enthusiastic to help us for 7-10 days periods in June and August, to help with the garden, exterior maintenance and some interior odd jobs. The work outside would include hedge trimming, general gardening, some light ground works and assistance with a rolling job list. Preferably we are looking for people who are over 25 years old and are responsible and independent. Loving animals is an essential as they are a big part of the household!

In return we can offer:
- a great downstairs bedroom (away from the kiddies upstairs!) with an adjacent bathroom;
- lovely food through the day, wine by night,
- high speed internet and;
- lots of great British banter.

We are 1hr by train from London which Lucy and I commute to ... more inside

Now FILLED for SUMMER 2019.

Looking for one or two helpers for the 2019 season Apr/May to Sep/Oct. With possibility of winter work.

We are a busy glamping and wedding venue on the England/Wales border. Family owned and run we live onsite and enjoy looking after our guests. We own horses, pigs, dogs and cats and hope to add donkeys and pygmy goats.

If you're looking for a fun place to work with nice people, you've found it. We will make you welcome and feed you well. There's lots to do but we are fair and reasonable hosts.

Our site is 5 miles away from the busy market town of Oswestry, Shropshire. The village bus runs into town twice a week and so it would be essential for helpers to have their own transport.

We are very hands on and currently do all the practical work ourselves with help from our children and part-time staff (who would continue). Just as we do, we would expect helpers to join in with whatever is needed. Experience in some or all of the following usefu... more inside

Hi we are looking for some help with landscaping / improving our garden - nothing particularly skilled just a bit of time and hard work needs to be spent out there. At the moment we are preparing an area for paving so quite heavy work. Perhaps if you were a couple and the work in the garden was a little too strenuous for one of you, you could help inside the home a bit, preparing food, cleaning etc. You will be working mostly during the day whilst we are at work but we can work together during the weekend.
Don't worry google maps is out dated and we've done lots of improvements already! we'd hope that you like children, are enthusiastic, cheerful, able to work of initiative and independently. We are able to offer you a room (bunk beds) and use of our home facilities wifi etc along with breakfast and an evening meal each day. In exchange for 4/5 hours work a day with a couple of days off each week where you could explore the local city of Brighton, the south downs or even catch ... more inside
