We have a 5* bed and breakfast with 3 guest rooms and a self catering cottage. The house is a Grade II listed Georgian house and we have a walled garden, some woodland and a field. We are situated in beautiful East Sussex countryside - an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our village is small but people are very friendly and there is a pub and tea rooms. There is a bus stop outside our house.

We would love to have a helper or a couple over the summer months. We are looking for someone who would be able to set up for breakfast, cook and clean up after breakfast and help with cleaning the rooms and other housekeeping matters. We do already have a couple of people who help with rooms etc so it would be working as a team with them. There is always plenty to do around the house and in the garden too. The other person would help Simon outside mainly with painting the outside of the house, gardening, general maintenance etc. There would be about 4 hours of work a day to do for ea... more inside

I am looking for experienced handyperson and decorators who can help with woodwork, fitting plywood, laying lino, sanding & painting, gardening, meal preparation - and if you are an experienced driver holding a UK licence, or have a car, so much the better.
I am moving back into my family home after a long period renting it out and I need help with renovating and decorating it. I have a room available for a couple or a single person starting 17 September.
You will be expected to help in the house as needed. work five days a week but can be flexible about timing and days off, roughly five and a half hours a day.

Sorry I don't have suitable photos yet but will find or take some to upload. I have a spacious terraced house with large garden, and will be looking to create a small perennial veg area - so if you are an experienced veg grower that may also be useful - perhaps with chickens.

My home is in a lovely area of London near a park, cinema, cafe pubs and shops and only 2... more inside

Hello. Interested in the South East of England? Looking for someone late May/june to help us outdoors, cleaning a large pond, and other garden tasks such as weeding, mowing, tidying, burning; clearing shed/garage; also possibly some re-painting; and depending on the person, some help cleaning inside too. We are an English and French speaking friendly family of 4 in a large modern house and garden in countryside setting. We can offer a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and internet. 20 minutes walk to village pubs and shops, hourly bus, or easy cycle; one hour train to London or Brighton. Beautiful countryside and walks around. We prefer organic and local food, home cooked. Biodynamic farms nearby and many alternative lifestyle people in the village.
Family interests are in music, spirituality, technology, ecology, world affairs, sports, and community. We like to make friendships with people from all over the world.

Wow, itís been years since we had any helpersÖ.and boy doesnít it show in the garden.

Anyone fancy coming to stay in the woods? I have a list as long as my arm of things ĎTo Doí and just canít manage them on my own. My boys are a lot older now and really donít like gardening at all, so Iím wondering if some of you lovely helper out there might like to stay with us over the Summer.

A little bit about us, we live in a 100-acre organic woodland, on the edge of Salisbury Plain, 15 mins from Stonehenge and the rather more exciting Avebury (part of the same World Heritage Site as Stonehenge but somewhat older) is 25 mins away. Bath is pretty cool and we go to the station in Westbury fairly regularly which is the trainline to Bath if you ever wanted to explore it. There are easy rail links to Salisbury or Westbury or you can get to us by coach via London to Devizes, our local town.

A lot of the helpers we have had in the past appreciate the fact that Lacock (where Harry Potte... more inside

We have a large veg plot, mixed fruit trees, chickens, bees and 13 sheep. Although not certified organic we use no sprays or chemical fertalizers and are keen to protect our surrounding wildlife.
This is very much a family enterprise with every body mucking in, especially for the larger jobs like lambing and haymaking.
Tasks can include weeding,pruning,pest control,
planting, shearing, haymaking, fruit picking, all depending on the season.
We are also interested in any body with experience of caring for the elderly. My father has parkinsons and early onset dementia although he's very much still involved in the daily running of things we'd be grateful for any one who'd be prepared to get involved in the domestic chores. There's always plenty of mouths to feed and fresh food to be prepared.

Full board and accommodation is provided. You'd be expected to work around 4/5 hours daily.

The part of suffolk we live in is great for walking and cycling,(we have bikes etc you can borrow).... more inside
