We are a family living in beautiful Bålsta, 40 minutes outside of Stockholm. Close to lake Mälaren, nature and viking history. Ninni, Magnus, Flaurette 8 years and our little dog Ella.

With the closeness to Stockholm city with plentiful of culture and museums and the nature surroundings in Bålsta, this is a perfect place if your interested in these things.

We would like for someone to stay with us and help us with the daily chores. The main chore will be to walk the dog twice a day while we are at work. Other things that we need help with depends on your interest. Like cooking, cleaning, some garden fixing or maybe some painting.

We live on an organic mountain farm in the Hardanger area, one and a half hour east from Bergen. In the summer, we grow vegetables and berries (strawberries, raspberries, red and black currants) and in the winter we work mostly with forestry as we sell birch firewood. We also have about 50 wild sheep which we feed in the winter with the hay we harvest in summer and 90 hens for egg production.
Summer work is mostly harvesting hay and all kind of work with the crops (planting, weeding, harvesting).
There is work all year long when it comes to mechanic or carpentry, so if you ave such skills you may be welcome anytime. However when it comes to work in the field we only welcome people from may/june to september.
We usually prefer to welcome 1 person at a time, but we can eventually welcome 2 at special occasions. We expect 5 hours of work a day for food and accommodation. Dear members of HelpX,

We are two elderly sisters who would wish a kind help, as owing to bad health of the other one, are unable to care for the surroundings of our country house.

Our house is beautifully situated at the end of a lvely village where all modern facilities are to be found, as a modern supermarket, swimming-pool, cultural meeting center with a precious museum - a friendly and peaceful place to live in.

The land belonging to the house is 1-2 hectares. In about 30-50 m distance from the main house there is a small beautifully arranged log-house for 1 or 2 persons, who could live there in a most convenient connection with us, - helping to keep surroundings tidy with mowing (a small electric machine), cutting branches and so on. Great interest in gardening would of course be very much appreciated, - either amateurs or experts ones. But a friendly and kind presence the most important thing. Such is a solace in live.

We have no activity giving profit. Everything... more inside
