hello, I have a a small permaculture property in Koonwarra, near Inverloch, South Gippsland. I live in a bush environment near the coast. The wild life and bird life are superb. I have vegie gardens, about fifty fruit trees, a hot house, all needing some help. I also need carpentry help to renovate a food storage shed, wood splitting and house maintenance. Until recently, I was highly involved with farmers' markets as a stall holder, using as much of my own produce as possible, so my place became a little neglected. I follow organic principles. My owner built house is tiny but gorgeous. Your accommodation would be in a separate, very private and equally lovely bungalow with delightful views. The bathroom is shared but the access is easy and private. There is NBN internet access. Your own car would be invaluable but not essential. I would prefer older helpers. Excellent food is imperative to me. l love vegetarian cooking, and am able to accommodate any dietary requirements. In return... more inside

For those who were coming to Raymond Island to stay with Peter Foreman, I wish to advise you that Peter had a massive heart attack a couple of weeks ago and passed away. We may be able to assist with a couple of bookings Peter had if you like to contact us.

Raymond Island is a great place to spend time in Spring. 2000sq metre property set in natural bushland on a small Island in the Gippsland Lakes system. There are Koalas, Kangaroos, Echidnas, Kookaburras and many other birds. Fishing is great. We have a bedroom in our home that would be private for you. We are a retired couple and in return for accommodation we would like 4 hours per day help with the garden and general maintenance around the house. We need people with cooking, handyman and gardening skills. Raymond Island is about 4 hours travel time east of Melbourne by public transport. There is local transport available.

A small picturesque farm situated on a river between two big forested national parks in East Gippsland. Witchwood is tucked into the hills just below the Errinundra plateau which is a stronghold of old growth forests.
The settlement of Goongerah has a population of about 40 people, a school, but no shops, TV or mobile reception (it does have satellite internet and landline phones).
The property is run organically and has a large food production and preserving set-up; vegie gardens, orchard, chickens, geese and dairy goats, as well as two Clydesdale horses, two dogs and even free-range guinea pigs in the orchard. Self-sufficient in fruit, veggies, eggs and milk. Still working on chocolate and vegemite.
Have piano but no time to learn - so piano players welcome!
Property is 100% solar powered and has a water wheel for pumping to the hill tank from the river.
A lot of my time is spent working to protect the East Gippsland forests from clearfell logging and woodchipping - a ma... more inside

Our park is set on 200 acres of beautiful wilderness just near gorgeous beaches in lovely East Gippsland. Here you can fish, swim, surf, canoe and whatever else you like to do outdoors. The park has pools, tennis court and amenities. We need help around the park with cleaning, gardening, pool and grounds maintenance over the our peak season December/Jan. We need up to 4 hours a day. We provide accommodation and meals. We do not have internet but there is phone reception and we are happy to take you into town where they have internet at the local cafe. Let us know if you think this is something that would suit you. Cheers! From Jungle Beach.

Welcome to our mixed farm and Vineyard. Approximately 1 hour (by car) east of Melbourne we are located in a peaceful area on the edge of the beautiful Yarra Valley and close to the picturesque Dandenong Ranges.

Hi my name is Andrew and I will be your easy-going host here. I have been involved in organic agriculture, permaculture and viticulture for about 10 years and have travelled to different countries backpacking and have wwoofed many times around Australia. I am passionate about farming organically and living sustainably (sensibly) and try to live and work without impacting on the planet as best I can. I love to cook and can cook dishes from most cultures, but always learning more. I like to preserve excess fruit and vegetables throughout the year also, focussing on more traditional and simple techniques and recipes.

UPDATE: We are free between 5th March and 25th March 2018 and are planning to build a new shed for our geese, duck and chicken pens. If you have construction knowledge your help would be greatly appreciated.

Beautiful property in hilly forest area surrounded by a small river on two sides provides swimming holes and fishing (Victorian Fishing License is required). Opportunity still exists to assist in renovation of the old farmhouse, painting, fencing - upkeep and new install, gardening, paddock maintenance, wood collection/splitting and some housework. We have alpacas, goats, sheep, geese, ducks, chickens, guinea fowls and quails so plenty of animal care to do. We also have a pet dog and indoor cat.

Lots of native wildlife to enjoy, wallabies, koalas, possums, echidnas, kookaburras, wild ducks and many other native birds, with some great bush walks.

Your accommodation is in a 1970's Leyland bus converted to a motor home. It has a full kitchen, lounge area and queen size b... more inside

Looking for someone with carpentry/handyman skills to build a chicken coop and lay a floating floor over a very uneven garage floor. I would expect 3 days work in exchange for accomodation.
We will be away for one week. There are 3 bedrooms, so a group who can work together would be fine. Get the work done faster and have more time to explore Melbourne. We are very close to trains and buses. And very close to the CBD.
Accomodation is available 3-10 August 2018.
