We are a young and bubbly family which includes myself Stephanie (25), my husband Nathaniel (28), our daughter Isla (3), our son Harrison (1), our little Chinese Crested Millie, Bullmastiff Bonnie and Dalmatian Wilson. We live in a small country town surrounded by farms which is 35 mins away from the nearest city Toowoomba. When we travel into Toowoomba you are very welcome to come with us.

We live in an old Queenslander which we are gradually renovating when we have the time and money. If you were to stay with us, work could include general housework, gardening, cooking (someone who loves to cook is very welcome, as we love trying new foods ;)) and house renovations for up to four hours a day, 5 days a week (we are very flexible with the hours and days you work, if you wish to work more one day and have the next off).

Unfortunately we can't offer a second-year visa or any paid work, we do offer good food and accommodation in the house in a separate bedroom with 2x single b... more inside

Our family includes Warren (road construction) and Susan (ESL Teacher/Tour Coordinator). We have 3 married children and 4 gorgeous grandkids. We all live within 45 minutes of each other and regularly see each other and have weekly Sunday night dinners together :)

We live in a small country town on the Darling Downs, 20 minutes to the nearest city of Toowoomba with some public transport, though very limited. We live on a quiet two acres in the middle of town in an old Queenslander home that we are gradually renovating when we have the time.

We own a very chillaxed Bullmastiff (Bravo) and a bouncy, active poodle (Shelby) and a lot of chooks (aka chickens).

Work for up to 4 hours a day, 5 days a week (can be flexible if you wish to work more one day and have the next off). The work can include help with our animals, general housework, gardening, cooking (someone who is willing to cook is very welcome), and house renovations.

I operate a beef cattle farm, running up to 1500 head of cattle. Mustering is done using quad bikes and sometimes a helicopter. The property is located 120 km north east of Roma, Queensland. Nearest town an hours drive away, own transport useful if you want to do sightseeing in area but otherwise not essential, happy to pick up/drop off from all bus services to here. Usually do weekly run into town for food, etc.

Daily chores can include checking stock waters, starting pumps, fencing, feeding chickens, cleaning and help with 2 very friendly dogs.

I am a recent host to HelpX but have hosted a lot of backpackers over the years and enjoy learning of others cultures, ways and international foods. Also well traveled myself. Meals usually shared together and food provided. Accommodation is good sized room to yourself in the house. Mobile phone service and internet available through Telstra. I require helpers at anytime of year. Prefer longer stays of 2-3 months but happy to see how ... more inside

Hi everybody,
unfortunately due to the Covid-19 outbreak we will not be able to host any helper until the pandemic will be resolved (hopefully soon!)
Safe travel to everybody!

Hi everybody!
we are a newly married italian-australian couple and we just bought our first house in Cairns. We are looking for helpers (1 or 2 persons maximum) to help with some painting, gardening, general house maintenance and daily works around the house
We both work full time (Daniele as a structural engineer and Pahge as a doctor) so we do not have enough time to carry out these works ourselves. We usually ask for 20 hours of work per week in exchange for food and accomodation.
The house is located in a nice suburb close to the centre of Cairns and to the beautiful botanical gardens and the trendy cafes in Edge Hill.
Guests will have their own room with wi-fi and food will be provided. We will also provide a bike as Cairns is the perfect place for cycling.
We also have a beautiful swimming p... more inside

My house/granny flat on top of a hill overlooking the sea through the trees and surrounded by trees. A very cool and quiet place with a spare room (see photo) and a pool. There is a steep walking track down to the beach takes about 10 to 15 minutes. I am half an hour drive north of Cairns city - a beach suburb. Buses go regularly to the city a 15 minute walk away. I need help with spring cleaning - dusting, cleaning windows, floors, removing cobwebs, sorting seeds, washing car and fitting car seat covers. Due to health issues I can't manage it. I only use non toxic natural products and provide gloves and paper dust mask if required. Helper would have their own room but share the rest of the house. This would suit someone who likes a quiet peaceful place to stay, not totally addicted to phone, is a good cleaner or willing to learn, doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, will clean up after themselves and not afraid of washing up. I say all this just to be clear. I am fair and ... more inside
