We are a family of four (2 daughters aged 15 and 13) who live in our bus as close to nature as possible.
After years of farming, natural building and holding permaculture courses on our farm, we got sick of the monetary system and attachment to owning land....SO SOLD EVERYTHING and went traveling.
Now we live as part of a quiet community of meditators, gardeners and soul seekers - pay as we go.
I am the green thumb of the family and own a big green bus that we operate as a vegan cafe / catering business and my husband enjoys all things music. He has a little recording studio on board his bus. Both of my kids like nature, reading, gardening, art and socialising. We homeschool using natural learning techniques with varied schedules.
Our camp is simple. You stay in a tent, alongside our bus. No smoking on the property please. We squat on a drop loo outside and shower under the stars.
We are close to Pomona township (bike ride 5 mins) with markets, doctors, shops, cafes, Noosa ... more inside

I will be going away for holidays so don't need anyone at the moment.

My house/granny flat on top of a hill overlooking the sea through the trees and surrounded by trees. A very cool and quiet place with a spare room (see photo) and a pool. There is a steep walking track down to the beach takes about 10 to 15 minutes. I am half an hour drive north of Cairns city - a beach suburb. Buses go regularly to the city a 15 minute walk away. I need help with spring cleaning - dusting, cleaning windows, floors, removing cobwebs, sorting seeds, washing car and fitting car seat covers. Due to health issues I can't manage it. I only use non toxic natural products and provide gloves and paper dust mask if required. Helper would have their own room but share the rest of the house. This would suit someone who likes a quiet peaceful place to stay, not totally addicted to phone, is a good cleaner or willing to learn, doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, will clean up after themselves and ... more inside

Hi, and thanks for reading our post!

We are looking for a hard worker to help us out at home, in a great suburb of Carins.

I am a single dad, 37 years old, with 2 awesome kids 5 & 6 years old. We have a fantastic house here in Cairns, very spacious, lots of relaxing areas, warm and comfortable.

We are an educated, social and inclusive bunch with strong family values. Our lives are fairly busy and we keep active in work, rest and play. We are lovers of the ocean and love to get out in our boat when possible. We are quality food lovers and enjoy many a good yarn over a glass of red.

I am looking for someone to help with housework and some light gardening. This includes day to day washing, cleaning, organising, some cooking; light general gardening (we have a very small garden!) and just keeping the place looking nice. This may take around 3 hours per day. I am not looking for anyone to look after my children per se, rather the house.

In exchange, we offer a nice room ... more inside

Sorry - help not needed right now.
The property is just over two hectares (five acres) in tropical North Queensland near Kuranda, 45 minutes from Cairns, with one third dedicated to a beautiful tropical landscaped garden. The balance is natural bushland with a dam, native wildlife including wallabies, a huge range of bird life and frogs. There are also chickens, a veggie garden and a variety of tropical fruit trees.
My name is Jeanette and I really enjoy meeting interesting, easy going people who share my love of life, laughter and good food and discovering all the wonders of this tropical wonderland. While here as my guests you are treated as family and most stays are one to two weeks.
This self contained homestay is perfect for you if you love gardening, have an appreciation of nature and can help maintain this little piece of paradise. Your work includes gardening, cleaning a bit of home maintenance, landscaping and gardening (it`s a big garden).

A family home at the end of a valley surrounded by rainforest located between Port Douglas and Mossman.
Perfectly located 15mins to the closest port to visit The Great Barrier Reef.
This would be the perfect place to experience fauna and flora. Lots of birds visit our gardens, wallabies and dingos reside in the valley.
The house is single storey and you would have your own large bedroom with bathroom overlooking our pool.
We can offer van parking space too.
We would love assistance with our garden, weeding, mulching, landscaping and vegie garden.
My husband and I would love to show you our beautiful surroundings.

We prefer a minimum of 1 week stay
If you are outgoing and love animals, clean, tidy, and love a good natter and a giggle, feel free to contact us.

Help wanted for gardening and cleaning up after a build. Ideally a couple happy to lift, carry and wheelbarrow. We have (almost) finished building using recycled materials. We are now landscaping, gardening and generally clearing up after the build.
The property is rural in a land for wildlife area, yet only 15 minutes from the Gold Coast airport, and 10 minutes from Currumbin surf beach.
With the help of some wonderful people on this site, we have transformed second hand materials into a guest cottage, another one bed house, a car port and the snug, a shack which is for your exclusive use. It has a double bed, en suite loo and basin and outdoor (hot) shower, with its own kettle, fridge, kitchen and sitting area etc and itís own wifi. From here itís a great place to watch the stars (the village has a dark sky policy, so there is no light pollution). All meals provided and we often get together with neighbours, play cards or go for a swim in the lovely pool in the ev... more inside
