We are a grass based dairy farm in county Kilkenny, there are lots of animals here - Dogs, hens, cats, peacocks and cows of course!
We live in a house built in the 1700’s surrounded by beautiful mature trees and a walled garden.

This is a house of six with four grown up children coming and going as they travel and study and sometimes work on the farm. We love where we live, enjoy farming, country lifestyle and working with animals. We also enjoy visitors and welcome their stories and lifestyles.

We offer Helpxers comfortable accommodation, excellent food and a genuine welcome.

We have a positive and welcoming attitude towards people and we appreciate that some people start with very little experience. Some of our best helpers have been first-timers. But we do expect applicants to provide some evidence that they are able to make a useful work contribution in return for our hospitality. This means you need to tell us about things you have done that show you are har... more inside

During your time off there is a lot to see and do in the area. We have bike that can be used to get around so helpers need to be ok with that. We play music also so at night if you are keen there is usually a session or a gig on in the bars that you can come along to... and join in if you'd like.

At the moment, we're looking for someone to tackle our vegetable garden, preferably someone over 25, with experience of gardening, and a French speaker would be a bonus to brush up our French!
We are a large family living in Limerick city, four people living at home at present. (more during the summer), including a dog and guinea pigs. We have a large garden about 20 mins walk from the city centre, and a comfortable home.
Limerick is well placed to explore the west of Ireland, with bus links to the counties all around us. The city itself is a nice size, with the Shannon river close by.
We are architects, currently working from a building in our garden which some of our lovely past HelpX workers helped to turn into an office.
Accommodation offered for one person or a couple, meals included - we buy as much organic produce as possible, and cater for wheat/dairy/egg intolerances, as well as trying to eat raw regularly - green smoothies in the morning a speciality!

Dec Xmas offer - I can offer a spacious homestead for 2 weeks over Christmas in exchange for minding my dog - I don't expect any work but equally I don't want to incur any hosting costs.
