We are a family of 4 who live on a small rural lifestyle block 3km out of Kaikohe. We offer separate accommodation totally self contained, own kitchenette and bathroom. We will provide food with 1 cooked meal at night. We have horses, dogs cats chicken and pigs. We require someone who can undertake physical chores such as digging out thistles, weeds from paddocks with a hoe. Help stack and chop firewood . General tidying up and gardening around the home. Mowing lawns. We are a Maori family with both Aaron and Rhonda (the parents) working full time.

We have 2 school aged children who both like to ride horses. We are close to the cycle trail and are close to the beautiful Bay of Islands (20mins) or the Hokianga Harbour 45mins drive. Someone who can ride horses would be an advantage to help children with horse riding each day.

We require 4 hours help per day for accommodation and food. We prefer non-smokers and people who have initiative and easy to eat along with are preferred.

If you look for a remote place, a little hide away to settle your mind and soul for two or three days, this might be the right for you. Our home is in the center of the Oromahoe Plateau between Kawakawa, Paihia and Kerikeri. To get to our place, you need to be mobile and also should not be feared of driving a quite windy “gravel Road” of a length between seven up to fifteen kilometers.
As we have a lifestyle property you can imagine there is always something to do. Animals (horses, sheep, chicken, pet pig and a dog) donīt think about a rainy or sunny day and nor do we! Jobs on the outside will be done, and there is no bad weather with the right clothes, isnīt it! To feel happy and comfortable at our home, you definitely should like animals. They are with us every day, and pretty much around us every hour as soon as we are outside, they are family members and get treated with love, respect, discipline.
We live almost self -sufficient, our Power is created by water and sun. Our wa... more inside

It's time to share our family home with young travelers as our children are grown but living nearby. We have no pets. We're a retired couple living 3 km from Kerikeri township, on a mature property filled with subtropical plants and bird song. We are 10 min walk from some of Kerikeri's well known tourist attractions, The Stone Store, Kemp House, Rewa's village and the Rainbows fall walking track.
We have a double bedroom suitable for a couple preferably in your late twenties or early 30's. We have wireless internet available. We require 4-5 hrs work per day in exchange for accommodation and meals. We believe we eat healthy food, and I'm happy to share the cooking with you.
We require help for about a week from and including 17th Nov . Work is gardening including tiding loose prongs on tall palms plus the grounds and window cleaning.
I enjoy kayaking and have 2 sea kayaks, and live at the top of the Kerikeri River.
We'd love to hear from you.
