I live close to the center of Oamaru, but the house has a country feel. It's quiet and you wake up to the sound birds and, at lambing time, sheep. Its an old railway workers cottage with a tin roof, claw foot bath and and a coal range, which I still cook on.

Right now I want to tidy up the (organic) garden. That mostly means laying down cardboard and leaves to keep the weeds down and regenerate the soil. There is also firewood to put into sacks and bring up the path too. So the work is pretty physical, and you will need to be ready and willing to put that effort in. Inside I am finishing stripping paint off the old doors and shelves in the kitchen, and sanding them down, and I need help with that too.

In exchange I offer nice accommodation, ultrafast broadband, and good coffee and homemade bread. Sadly right now I am too poor to offer food as well, but you are welcome to veges from the garden.

Ideally I want people for a round three to five days or so.

I am a male,... more inside

We are currently looking for 2 or more people to come join us and help turn our dream into a reality!

In exchange for 4 hours help a day we offer your own private room, all the usual amenities, wifi, and some food.

We are located in Seacliff, a very tiny township about half an hour drive from Dunedin. Your own vehicle will be essential.
There is however plenty to do out here - we have an extensive music room, a gym, plenty of places to explore and some of Otago's beautiful beaches right on our doorstep!

We prefer people who can stay for a few we... more inside

Couples or 2 people travelling together preferred.

Types of jobs you help with include painting . All work is outdoors. We supply accommodation only, in return for 2 hours work each per day.

We live close to Oamaru, walking to town would take 25-30 minutes, and we live close to the beach, which is about a 15 minute walk away. Having your own transport would definitely be in your favour.

We are a very busy family and are offering just accommodation as that is as far as we can stretch. This isn't the home to come to if y... more inside
