Welcome to our mixed farm and Vineyard. Approximately 1 hour (by car) east of Melbourne we are located in a peaceful area on the edge of the beautiful Yarra Valley and close to the picturesque Dandenong Ranges.

Hi my name is Andrew and I will be your easy-going host here. I have been involved in organic agriculture, permaculture and viticulture for about 10 years and have travelled to different countries backpacking and have wwoofed many times around Australia. I am passionate about farming organically and living sustainably (sensibly) and try to live and work without impacting on the planet as best I can. I love to cook and can cook dishes from most cultures, but always learning more. I like to preserve excess fruit and vegetables throughout the year also, focussing on more traditional and simple techniques and recipes.

I have three dogs, two birds, I love cooking and fishing, you're welcome to diving with me on your day off.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

UPDATE: We are free between 5th March and 25th March 2018 and are planning to build a new shed for our geese, duck and chicken pens. If you have construction knowledge your help would be greatly appreciated.

Beautiful property in hilly forest area surrounded by a small river on two sides provides swimming holes and fishing (Victorian Fishing License is required). Opportunity still exists to assist in renovation of the old farmhouse, painting, fencing - upkeep and new install, gardening, paddock maintenance, wood collection/splitting and some housework. We have alpacas, goats, sheep, geese, ducks, chickens, guinea fowls and quails so plenty of animal care to do. We also have a pet dog and indoor cat.

Lots of native wildlife to enjoy, wallabies, koalas, possums, echidnas, kookaburras, wild ducks and many other native birds, with some great bush walks.

Your accommodation is in a 1970's Leyland bus converted to a motor home. It has a full kitchen, lounge area and queen size b... more inside

Looking for someone with carpentry/handyman skills to build a chicken coop and lay a floating floor over a very uneven garage floor. I would expect 3 days work in exchange for accomodation.
We will be away for one week. There are 3 bedrooms, so a group who can work together would be fine. Get the work done faster and have more time to explore Melbourne. We are very close to trains and buses. And very close to the CBD.
Accomodation is available 3-10 August 2018.

Situated on the edge of the Great Divide, we are surrounded by great views, Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidna and numerous bird species including wedge tail eagles, Rosella's and Kookaburras. Just an hour from Melbourne [less from the airport] we can arrange pick up.
Our farm has Highland Cattle, Chooks and a great Vegie garden. While we have no urgent work requirements and the farm is only our hobby [we both have full time occupation as well]there is always something to do, but full time or long term employment is not available!
We have a spare room with double bed or we can accommodate 2 x singles as well. The nearest public transport is 15 minute drive and we can drop people of most days as we go past the station nearly every day. Our current projects are house painting, wood cutting and gardening.

We are seeking helpers for our farm located near Yarram in the beautiful Gippsland region of Victoria. The property is nestled in the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges and overlooks the coast and picturesque countryside in this part of the world. Wilson's Promontory is just over an hour away from this idyllic location, the untouched beauty of Tarra-Bulga National Park is 30 mins and the start of 90 Mile Beach is just over 35 minutes (amazing swimming beach).

The property is 30 acres in size and home to a range of amazing Australian wildlife including: echidnas, kangaroos, koalas (heard them, but yet to see them), cockatoos and kookaburras.

We are setting the farm up to be an organic beef operation . It's early days at the moment, meaning you will get to try your hand at a range of interesting tasks, including:

Fencing

Establishing the vegetable garden/orchard

Laying out walking trails

Maintenance of stock watering points

Our preference is for workers with driver's licence and/or car. Couples are ideal as our accommodation is self-contained and private.

This is a picturesque sheep farm situated half-way between Benalla and Wangaratta, in Victoria's North East. We are 10 minutes from Glenrowan township, 20 minutes from the vineyards of the King Valley and about 1 hour 20 minutes from the ski slopes. We are a family of six (four kids under twelve), seeking someone with farmhand, house cleaning, gardening, carpentry, building or painting skills. We love to have couples stay with us.

We have a very comfortable, 3-bedroom, fully-furnished
cottage for our worker/s. My husband and I have both lived and worked overseas and travelled extensively. We would make our working visitors welcome, show them the area and do our best to make their time with us fun and interesting.

My home is centrally located in Carlton North only 3km from the city centre and there are plenty of parks nearby. It is 100 metres to the nearest tram stop. There are cafes and bars only doors away. My home is a two storey town house. The accommodation is in a bedroom/study with a single bed. I have 2 children, 10 years old and 12 years old and a dog (and 3 fish : ) ).

I need basic jobs done around the house like cleaning and some cooking.

We have had many lovely Helpx experiences sharing stories over our dinner table. Look forward to meeting you and hearing your stories.
