Our historic property ( 1912 ) operates a small blueberry farm in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Our blueberries were one of the first planted commercially in 1982.We are a small boutique blueberry farm. We have really enjoyed all our Helpers over the years.

Most work will be outside, helping with stuff that just needs to be done like cleaning cars' feeding alpaca and llama, gardening, mulching and wood splitting ( dont worry we have a machine ) etc. Help indoors really helps us get on with our work maybe general household chores on cold or wet days. There will be opportunities to walk our llamas.

Organic fruit and nut orchard with small veggie patch, flower beds, and newly planted trees. We live in a rainforest wildlife sanctuary 10 mins outside of Foster, and 30 mins from Wilson’s Prom. The property is owned and run by an American woman, Australian man and our happy baby Huck. We’d love help in the yard, childcare and housework, four hours a day. We'd also love woodworkers! You’re welcome to use our NBN satellite internet, and we have mobile phone range on the property. We typically eat ethically sourced meat once or twice a week, but we’re happy to accommodate vegans/vegetarians. Pets are not allowed, as we like to maintain the wildlife in our area. Our home is easily accessible by bus from Melbourne. Simply take the V-line bus to Foster and we’ll pick you up! We speak English, French, and a very little bit of Mandarin and Spanish.

We are again available for Helpx from 24th October. We have had a break over our wet, muddy and cold winter months but are looking forward to having people stay with us now it is getting warmer and dryer.

Beautiful property in hilly forest area surrounded by a small river on two sides provides swimming holes and fishing (Victorian Fishing License is required). Many opportunities to work on the farm (approx 4 - 5 hours per weekday with weekends off) by building new duck and geese pens, renovating a granny flat, fencing repairs, putting in new fences, concreting, filling gabion rock walls, gardening, paddock maintenance, wood collection, wood splitting, some housework and assisting with our farm animals. We have alpacas, goats, geese, ducks, chickens, guinea fowls and quails so plenty of animal care. Animal care includes feeding them, making sure they have plenty of fresh drinking water and a clean place to sleep in at night. We also have a pet dog and indoor cat.

Lorraine needs help to exercise and care for her many horses.

Lorraine also has two very friendly dogs - Boy (dalmatian) and Hetty (Doberman x Staffy).

She welcomes helpers who have experience training and riding show jumping horses and can exercise youngsters and older horses. Special consideration is given to those who have show jumped horses up to and over 1 metre and may have owned their own horses in the past.

Some assistance with general farmwork etc. may also be appreciated - any helper should be able to carry out tasks with minimum supervision :)

Lorraine can accommodate helpers who do not have their own transport. Arrangements can be made to collect from the local station / airport etc.

Lorraine's property, Woodstock Stud is within 5 mins drive of the Wallan station (Vline Train services almost an hourly service into Melbourne) the journey takes 45 mins to the city. Easy access to the freeway too.

Lorraine's property is located near to the Mount Disapp... more inside
