This is a working sheep and cattle farm located in Queensland's Outback region. The farm is owned and managed by the Hobbs family.

The farm involves sheep and cattle work such as mustering (herding on motorbikes), fencing, driving tractors and other stock work.

We have had many travellers stay and work on the farm from a wide range of countries. Whilst the work is new to most travellers it provides an opportunity to learn new skills and to gain a unique experience of a working Outback Station.

As the farm involves learning new skills we recommend travellers to stay a minimum of one month so that they have the opportunity to experience a range of activities most visitor end up staying for 3 to 4 months. We are located in rural Australia.

Our family is friendly and welcomes visitors into our house. We eat some meals with our visitors and encourage them to participate in the local community events and activities.

Our home is set on the north side of the beautiful Mount Coolum. We have ocean glimpses from the house on a 1/4 acre block which is currently in need of attention so garden clean up help is wanted, as well as odd jobs about the house. We also have a busy jewellery studio where sometimes we love some help too, you may even learn some basic silver smithing.
We have a Golden Retriever called Murphy, and sometimes another called Hugo when our daughter's dog is here, so you must love dogs.
We are a healthy walking distance to the beach (not patrolled) and the beautiful Mount Coolum to climb which is very popular with locals and visitors.
Coolum Beach is just down the road, if you like to walk it's a beautiful 6km walk to town, though there is a bus every half hour which goes through Coolum from Caloundra to Noosa.

We are looking for someone to assist between now and December - for 2018. Offering up to two weeks accommodation, with a range of jobs. How much gets done depends on the length of stay.

We are a family of four, with two small girls, living in a 60's beach cottage within walking distance to Burleigh Heads Beach, Burleigh Head National Park, Tallebudgera Creek and James Street shopping village. There is a plethora of restaurants, bars, food and coffee shops within a 2 minute walk down the hill, including a Woolworths, Foodworks, and Organic/ Whole Foods Shops. Our property is in a secluded pocket, bordered on two sides by a conservation park, home to much birdlife including lorikeets and kookaburras, and the odd koala sighting.
Wake up to birdsong and enjoy being part of the bush whilst also being so close to the beach.

We are at the tail end of our renovation and need labour work to assist in completing our landscaping and some home maintenance.

Tasks involve:

Hi travellers
We would love you to join us at our 5 acre property.
We are looking for someone to help Bill doing yard work or someone that is happy to translate a book for me into their home language.

We currently have a young French couple living with us long term. They are such an asset to our philosophy and we never have had one disagreement since they arrived in May 2016. Respect and communication is so important to us all.

Bill owns his own Commercial Cleaning business and I own a Natural Therapy Clinic.

We are use to sharing our space with all ages and love the interaction. We have enough space and beautiful country streets to be able to get away from each other and go for a walk, bike ride or if you prefer you can have a swim or a spa or just hang out in the hammock. On your days off we can take you fishing, kayaking, BBQ down by the bay or drop you in the city.

Other than that we have loyal animals, chooks and a horse that thinks he`s human.

UPDATE: Looking for a general farm helper and family member. Lots of opportunity to learn including animal work through to butchering!

4 hrs minimum a day including food and board etc (we give our helpers the same lifestyle we have - total immersion! - but when we are busy it means more work).

Minimum 4 week stay.

Woodspring is a cattle farm in Inglewood QLD owned by Ben and Sarah Eisel. We primarily fatten cattle and feed our pigs/sheep/horses by sprouting barley grass in a large cool room. We do this to make some of the yummiest beef ever and try to sell it direct to consumer. We eat it at home too so if you`re a beef lover you can`t go past it!

We are not organic but we don`t use chemicals on the paddocks, only household cleaning products in the sprouting shed. We do use chlorine bleach and you will need work clothes as they might get bleached (we can provide work clothes and boots).

Help us by harvesting the barley grass and feeding it to the cattle. Check ... more inside
