Looking for 1-3 helpers during summer and autumn. At the moment we would love to have those who have experience in building, woodwork, rendering or cob building. Any handy man skills are welcome as we are building our new ceramic studio using natural building methods.

If you feel attracted to alternative life-style with a lot of potential to be creative then this is the place for you. Both of us are professional ceramic artists. Our small property is 40min drive South of Hobart in the picturesque Huon Valley.

We live in an old house and work most of the time in our studio or building a new one (natural building techniques). Also have a veggie garden, many fruit trees, and chickens not to mention the visiting possums and wallabies during nighttime. So, as you can imagine there is plenty of work around (some jobs can be demanding) –gardening, building, renovating, helping out in the studio and of course housework.

In exchange for 4-5 hours work daily, we provide you with se... more inside

Sheep farm and building business specialising in heritage building restoration work. Stay with our family of 4 in an 1820's newly restored sandstone house.

Help needed on the farm, in the garden and in the house. There is also the possibility of some building work.

The Ross area is a beautiful pastoral district in the Midlands of Tasmania 45 mins drive south of Launceston airport with regular buses passing through to Hobart and Launceston

We have the Macquarie River running through our farm with no shortage of trout. If fishing is your thing we are also close to Tasmania's Central Highland lakes (world class fly fishing) Also the farm next door grows biodynamic cherries - so there may be an opportunity for seasonal fruit picking also

If you don't mind a bit of hard work, enjoy good food, conversation and outdoor recreation - we would love to have you to stay. Hope you can help!

Jon and Maddy.

We are currently seeking Housekeeping staff for the Motel. Short term stays will also be considered.

A purpose designed rural community is being created on the Tasman Peninsula, 100km from Hobart, and 10 minutes from the historic site of Port Arthur.

Our place offers a Working Holiday to those who are looking for alternative ways to subsidise their travel or living costs.

A Working Holiday is a method of exchanging work for accommodation. Working Holiday arrangements are for a minimum of 1 week. Some helpers stay for several months. Free shared accommodation- with food supplied- is offered in exchange for 25 hours work per week.

There are many tasks involved in keeping Parsons Bay Retreat running smoothly. The work can be very basic and physical, including housekeeping, food service and gardening; it is a good way to get or keep fit!

We also have work to do with the development of the Tasman Ecovillage, a purpose designed intentional community that is sustainable a... more inside

This is a family owned holiday accommodation business located on the river mouth of Scamander on the sunny East Coast of Tasmania. Situated between St Helens and St Mary's.
The work mostly includes making beds, a bit of cleaning, some laundry work, general maintenance around the property & gardening. Some help to prepare lunch and/or dinner will also be greatly appreciated.
Would prefer helpers with some similar work experience, or at least keen to learn. There will definitely be work over weekends, so days off (1-2) are usually during the week. It would be great if you could stay at least 10 days.
Due to the location of the business and type of work, it would be best suited for couples or 2 friends traveling together. (However, single helpers will not be excluded). Having your own transport will be very helpful if you want to explore the area.
Most of the work is done between 9.00am and 2.00pm. Once the day's work is complete, you are free to explore the area and do your ow... more inside

Our flower farm is overlooking the Huon Estuary located 8km from Cygnet. The farm is half pasture and half bushland. There are 3 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, 2 horses and beef cattle to look after as well as approximately 2ha of flowering plants. The farm is quite secluded and a very peaceful environment. Accommodation is self contained and it is helpful if people can cook for themselves food provided or otherwise negotiated. So animal friendly people are very welcome.

Hi, We are a family of four from Tasmania, Australia. We have two girls; Ivy aged 7, and Pepper 3. The girls both love the outdoors, reading books, art and craft, playing imaginary games and going to the park. Tasmania is the perfect place to bring up children, surrounded by water, you are never far from the beach, or bush. Hobart is located under the beautiful mount wellington where there are many walking and mountain biking tracks, it is also located on the River Derwent, where there are now lots of things to see/do around the waterfront. We live a close 10mins drive away from the city, beside a peaceful reserve with great walking tracks.

We would like an au pair to join our family to help us mind our children while we are at work. I am a viticulturist/ winemaker and starting around March I will be very busy during the vintage period (working long hours 6 days a week) for approximately 8-12 weeks. My husband Patrick is a chef and works nights Wednesday- Sunday. We need an au pa... more inside
