I am a retired lady looking for between one and two people to stay in the cottage adjacent to my house. The property is a detached farmhouse located in an idyllic valley within Snowdonia National Park. Visitors would have use of their own bathroom, kitchen, living room and two separate bedrooms. Guests would also have occasional access to a car which they could use for shopping and exploring the local area. The car would not be available to use for long journeys or overnight trips away.
I am looking for help in maintaining the sizeable garden that surrounds the property and walking my pet dog Owain. It is essential that prospective guests are animal lovers who would enjoy the company of a friendly and affectionate dog.

I am interested in accommodating guests who are easy-going, flexible, and would embrace an opportunity to discover the culture and landscape of this most beautiful corner of Wales. I enjoy the peace and tranquillity of where I live and would enjoy sharing that wit... more inside

Every year, men and women from all over, join in the commotion and comradery of what we call Ecstatic Building;
Spirit Horse’s unique drive to create sacred architecture which anyone can do.

Ecstatic because of the exhilaration collectively felt when we are fully engaged in the “common work of the tribe” and fully giving rein to our innate, unbridled, natural creativity.

Our instinct is to create, and make in beauty. And making home, or housing for the holy, is natural and refreshingly fulfilling. To be able to build houses, temples, born of this natural unrestricted intelligence in the old way, is a freedom rarely experienced these days.

Here is your invite to join the Spirit Horse Tribe for the month of May, in sacred architecture. Banging nails, candle lit dinners, happy banter and companionship in a spectacular welsh valley, adorned with waterfalls; radiant with the exuberance of May, in the creation of earthy, wild architecture and a new culture.

Anything you can do for us we will be grateful for. Help to make life easier, happy help bringing bright ideas and a thoughtful get on with it attitude.
Wee jobs done making a huge difference.

***We are looking for helpers in Feburary 2020***

We are a family of four - Ricardo from Cuba, Katherine from Ireland, Mila our daughter, aged 6 and Lope our son, born in February 2019 (so a newborn). Ricardo is a physics lecturer and I am a sociologist, both working in universities.

We moved into our Victorian house on the outskirts of London around three years ago. We have had some wonderful helpers helping us restore and decorate the house in that time.

We would like to host someone who can help with general work around the house - cooking, tidying, and babysitting (with a parent present) - not intensive cleaning as we have a regular cleaner. Basically generally holding baby every now and/or playing with Mila so Katherine can nap! We also have a nice garden which badly needs some attention.

Due to the size of the spare bedroom, we can only realistically host single helpers.

We are a friendly bilingual house and have had really wonderful experiences with helpx w... more inside

Helpers are welcome for 1-2 weeks.
The land has a small tidal harbour good for swimming, fishing ,kayaks and small boats. There is a bicycle for use and it is 2 miles to the bus stop and shop. Great local walking and beaches, close to lona for day trips. Various old kayaks for use in the harbour.
This is a non smoking and meat eating household but vegetarians are also welcome.

Attractive rustic old Norfolk Barns that I have been developing, on a shoe string, since 1991. In 1997 I built an eco-cabin and extended it in 2004 with a 50square metre straw-bale,on rubber tyres buildingy. We have a reed-bed purification system, and have started harvesting water. There is a large vegetable garden which I have developed along Permaculture principles with composting on site cf. Thanks to a former volunteer we now have a wonderful polytunnel. I am a member of the Permaculture association which has always been a source of inspiration.Sadly I am without large animals For many years I ran animal assisted activities, but recently have
given the ponies and pigs to a wonderful project working with city school children in a residential setting, giving them an experience of the outdoors. cf Ringsfield Hall Eco-centre near Beccles.
