**Update**

Hello to All

I live in a small end-terraced house on the edge of town (5mins walk) your room is a large comfortable single room, with shared bathroom, kitchen and Wi-Fi access.
Only a 2 min walk to the train station, with good links to Chester and Manchester.
This is a peaceful house, for example no TV, so probably not exciting enough for most people.

I continue with renovation/redecorating work on my house, but nothing too technical or hard work.

+++Update+++

At the moment I don't have any work available in exchange for room and food so I would expect payment for room only.

If you have any questions please e-mail.

Thanks

We have a delightful bungalow in the beautiful Devon countryside with a large garden and peaceful location.

My husband and I are friendly and would like someone to help us with painting our bungalow. This involves removing stacks of wood first, and then and putting it back after painting. The paint is water soluable so it washes off easily without using any chemicals.
The weather's fine now but that could change, so there's general gardening such as weeds to clear.

We can offer you the caravan after 12th August. We also have a fantastic tent which sleeps 4, just as another place to hang out. It's comfortable with luxury deep foam matresses...you'll sleep soundly.

Ideally we'd like 4 hours help a day with your weekends free. In exchange we’ll provide your breakfast and lunch food to prepare in your caravan or tent, and an evening meal with us in the bungalow. In the caravan theres a fridge and cooker. Please note we're both vegetarians. Non smokers please.

We're only ... more inside

We have space from september onwards. Please note we only offer short 7 to 10 day stays.
We need helpers to have a good conversational level of spoken English

We are a family with an organic smallholding run on Permaculture principles and a 8.5 Acre coppice woodland and we welcome volunteers for periods of 7 to 10 days to live with us and help us with our work.
* We try to be as self reliant as possible without being fanatical about it.
* We are structureing our garden on Permaculture principles
* We aim to recycle our rainwater and grey water through a reed bed.
* We use solar energy and waste wood wood to heat our home and to cook with. We use solar electricity with battery backup to lower our use of mains power.
* We want to consume less and recycle more
* We grow and eat our own vegetables, fruit, eggs and honey or trade with others where we cant grow our own.
* We create all of this ourselves (DIY) where possible from recycled materia... more inside

At the moment I have a space available for a HelpXer from October probably.

I am usually looking for somebody with at least some previous experience of gardening, as I need some help with an organic growing area that is not a farm, but allotment land, distributed over 2 sites with very different soil in West Oxford. I have been growing a mixture of vegetables, soft fruit and fruit trees for 28 years.

Over the last years I have had great help from several HelpXers, who have done a lot of digging and weeding, so nowadays there is not a lot of heavy digging to do. Tasks include maintaining the plots, dealing with perennial weeds, regular weeding, watering and from now there will be regular harvesting to do.

Apart from the regular sowing, planting and harvesting, there are also repairs to sheds, including painting sheds and decking, so somebody with some carpentry or woodworking skills would be ideal. I will also need help with harvesting and preparing vegetables and fruit f... more inside

We live in a beautiful village on the edge of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Walking and cycling are all possible to do with ease from the front door, including a Munro ( mountain over 3000feet high). Watersports are close by too. We have a lovely old house built in 1901 that requires some TLC(tender loving care). It includes a large garden that has become overgrown. We are looking for help to redecorate the house and to regain control over the garden! We have 4 bedrooms so helpers could either have a bedroom each or a couple could have a double bed. We have two cats. One very nosy, the other very shy...We can offer short-stay accommodation and excellent food in exchange for undertaking a range of indoor and garden tasks. We may require occasional companionship to an elderly member of family who sometimes stays overnight. Non smokers preferred - we are a no smoking household.

We are a free range, semi self sufficient dairy farm, milking cows once a day on a rotary parlour.
We are looking for people to come and share our home, join in with family meals and our family life. In return we would like some help with milking most mornings so some experience would be very useful but not essential.
There is an old tractor that has been half way restored so if you enjoy tinkering with ancient mechanics this could be for you!
We also need help in the garden. There is a large vegetable garden which is sadly neglected and needs some TLC to get it back to being a productive organic vegetable source for the house.
Keeping the farm clean and tidy and helping move cows from field to field. About 4 hours help a day.
We are very remote and rural, the nearest shop is 5 miles away. There is a great country pub 3 miles away. We are an hour's drive from the North Devon coast with great surfing.
Over the last 10 years we have lots of Aussies and Kiwis stay with us ... more inside

I am currently looking for 2 hardworking volunteers to assist in the construction of a retaining wall for a terrace garden. The work will involve a fair amount of lifting and I wish to start soon after 1st August, 2018.

Shoreham by Sea is on the south coast 6 miles west of Brighton. The houseboat moorings are on tidal mudflats and accessible from the towpath. The sea is less than 200 yards and is popular with kite and windsurfers.

The work is all involved with the maintenance and renovation of historic boats which are mostly used as houseboat accommodation. I use a minimum of new materials, aiming to create environment friendly, aesthetically pleasing and ergonomically functional living spaces. I currently am responsible for 7 boats over 30 foot and struggling with the work load. The joy of working with houseboats, (especially ours where we own our mooring plots) is that they are not subject to planning permission or buildings regulations. This allows for freedom in design wh... more inside

We are a small, eco-friendly glamping site on the border of Devon and Cornwall. We are situated in a lovely meadow on a farm with views over neighbouring fields and the sea in the distance.

In addition to the site we also have a little cafe, surf school, yoga classes, massage hut, pizza oven and yurt cinema that bring us income/fun/relaxation/delicious food/amazing coffee.

Situated on the North Devon coast we are a short car journey or (a slightly longer) cycle ride to some spectacular surfing beaches with dramatic cliffs and waterfalls.

The farm family includes Hannah who is a yoga instructor and master creator of cakes and Simon who is a sourdough baker and chef extraordinaire. They run the site with me, and have the smiliest six month year-old child and a little King Charles cavalier spaniel called Lola.

Andy and his wife Kat who own the site live next door and have a few animals including goats, pigs, chickens and ducks plus an Italian Spinoni called Gertie.
