Help needed, from March 2018

We need one weeks work, building raised garden beds out of Wooden planks, and filling them with soil, ready for planting.

We live on the far western coast of County Clare, in between Doolin and Lahinch and close to the Cliffs of Moher. We have two bicycles which you can use. Lahinch is a great beach and Doolin has a fantastic music scene.

We grow most of our own food, in season, and have a large greenhouse. Gabi Loves to Cook.

Gabi is an English Language teacher and Chris is a musician. You will have your own room and share the rest of the house with us. Because of the weather in Ireland, work schedules are flexible. Weekends are free time.

Hello there!
Oxhill farm is located at the foot of the Ox Mountains in County Sligo close to Lough Easkey. Its a beautiful rural setting with access to hiking & close to surfing areas.

Henry built the farm on the site of his father, James' blacksmith forge. It has bred registered Connemara ponies and has a herd of rare breed Dexter cattle as well as a flock of sheep who graze the Ox mountains.

Tasks on the farm would include assisting Henry with seasonal farm work (with the animals and the land) and maintenance of the infrastructure and outbuildings. Quite manual work.

Board is within the homestead where Henry and his wife Margaret live, guaranteeing a hearty feed! You would have your own room & wifi in a very cosy home.

**Help is required now (February 2018) for a CONSTRUCTION project: so along with routine farm tasks you will be assisting Henry in maintenance and insulation of a cottage. **

Volunteers would be expected to help with anything from clearing, digging, planting, harvesting, painting, wood chopping and general maintenance depending on the weather and time of year. We prefer stays of 4 weeks initially or longer if everything works out. We would particularly like to hear from strong people, who love outdoors. During the summer months we host weddings and volunteers would be expected to help set up, tend bonfires and keep the teki torches lit.
We also have 7 outdoor cats, 24 Chickens, 1 Turkey and 2 Donkeys which we would love help with.
Accommodation is provided in a separate 3 bedroom apartment with TV & internet access and cooking facilities which gives volunteers the opportunity to occasionally cook they're own meals, but (usually) we all share meals together. We provide all food, linen, oil fired heating as well as a wood burning stove. Nearest pub & shop 1 KM. Various bikes provided. Volunteers are expected to have personal insurance.

We converted a 200 year old coach house into our home. It is set in a wooded valley by the sea, 12km from Kinsale and about 25km from Cork, in Southern Ireland. Help always needed with general maintenance, stone work, carpentry, painting, woodland management, vegetable patch and garden or whatever project is going on. We have 2 grown up kids, two dogs, one cat. Sara is a ceramicist and Gidi sells his Middle Eastern food in three local farmers' markets and at festivals. We both work from home. We can offer a nice big room ensuite with wifi and good food. As we have a small house we usually offer short term stays (c.2 weeks).
At present we have a lot of trees down after Ophelia and could gladly do with some help clearing, cutting, tidying...
so do get in touch if that sort of outdoor work appeals, thanks

We work in exchange for room and board. There is no stipend or anything like that. Typically we share rooms, two to a room. So two of you would be in the same room in an apartment next to the stables. We work 35 hours a week with two days off during the busy summer season and though the hours are less during the winter there is still a fair amount of yard maintenance in addition to the basic horse care and treks. In Spring we will be getting ready for the busy season, so It is a fun group of people and a good working environment. We work hard but have a good time doing it.
If you are interested please send details of your horse riding experience and any qualifications you have for example first aid and horse care courses you have completed. We also require interns who wish to ride to furnish us with a copy of their personal accident insurance prior to your arrival at Dingle horse riding.

We have a family-run Bed & Breakfast on the beautiful island of Inishturk.

Our house is a hive of activity during the summer months as we have a lot of guests, therefore we require some help.
You will be made very welcome in our home where myself and husband Bill raised our 6 children.
We treat our guests as family and we will naturally do the same with you!
There is a wonderful family atmosphere in our house and can be quite busy at times with both family and guests.
We require help with housekeeping and accommodation and if you are a couple there plenty of odd jobs to be done outside.

In your free time, our island has a lot to offer: beautiful scenic walks, 2 beautiful sandy beaches and a lively atmosphere in our Community Club. There are many events and festivals on the island throughout the summer.
Our island webpage is www.inishturkisland.com
