We run a mixed farm in County Monaghan, with Aberdeen Angus suckers, breeding Ewes, store lambs and free range poultry unit. We are a family of five, my husband I and we have two sons and a daughter. We have a lovely retriever dog, a cat and a donkey as pets. Our eldest son is working away and our second son is the main farmer and he has recently set up a new poultry unit. We need some help with collecting eggs daily and depending what your interested in, we can help you learn about other areas in farming. We could do with some help from now until summer, and we will provide comfortable accommodation in our home for you. We have a non smoking home and ask those who stay with us to respect house rules. We enjoy walking and various sports. We enjoy having fun and are a happy caring family. We will make you very welcome here.

Hello. I've been away in Norway, with my new family, since my daughter was born in December 2011 . I put my cottage on airbnb, but feel it needs more work on and around the place !
If I am not there, a friend may be around to help, sometimes with transport . The bus now stops in Belturbet from Cavan or Enniskillen. There is a bus from there, but not so often, so you may need to get a taxi or bicycle ??
At the moment there is no one living on the acre of land . There is a cabin on the hill .
There is lovely woodlands around and 10 mins walk along the forestry track to a lake , where we swim, it's not to cold for swimming at the moment .. May till September
We have a Canadian canoe on the lake, also.
A little work is good , as long as it improves !
Enjoy your stay .

In the Spring / Summer / Autumn time . I would like to organise a work party. To cut down as many of the 110 Sitcus sprus trees as possible. Take the bark off and stack and cover with roofing. To then h... more inside
