I live in a large regional city one hour by train from Melbourne in a comfortable three-bedroom home with a medium-sized garden. I prefer a young man willing to work in my garden, maybe a little house cleaning. If he has some experience in painting the exterior wood parts of a brick home that could be an advantage, and also knowing a weed from a plant (!). I offer a private room, internet access, meals (French and Italian cuisine) in exchange for four hours work per day, mainly light work, five days a week.I usually find that young helpers don't have much gardening experience and I am happy to show them what they need to do. The time that they do the required 4 hours of work on week-days can be flexible but helpers must be happy and willing to do a full 4 hours per day because I really hate it if I find that I have to keep urging them to continue their work; in such a case the exchange is not worth my trouble. I really prefer someone from France or Italy. I speak those languages flu... more inside

Rosemary is a Dutch speaker with an understanding of French so welcomes Dutch and French helpers in particular although all nationalities welcome but smokers discouraged. Roger is a retired academic (mathematician) and Rosemary is a retired university exchange program manager. We value meeting enthusiastic, energetic helpers who like to share their stories and experience around the dinner table. The best helpers for us are those who... more inside

We have a large holiday home and need help with the garden and some maintenance. It has got a bit out of hand. It is in the Mountains in a beautiful area. We are 1.5 hours from the ski fields and in summer we have swimming in the river. We are 99km from Melbourne. There is a bus service close by.
We would love to share it with you. If you could give us 4 hours help per day for full board. I think you would enjoy it. We have had help before and it has been very successful. We are not rigid with the working and have found in the past that a few days working then time for exploring or doing what you want seems to work.
It Is summer at present - good for swimming in the ri ver.
Trout fishing is famous in the beautiful river and surrounds.
We look forward to hearing from you.
January or February would be very good for us. Its autumn now and the coloursare so beautiful. Our favourite time.

We live in a nice spot in Northern Victoria, not far from the Goulburn River which offers great fishing. This region's rivers are renowned for catching the great Murray Cod.

Our property consists of 129 hectares of grazing and cropping country with calves, beef cattle some pigs and riding horses. If you are remotely interested in horses, coming to our property may give you the opportunity to learn from a great wealth of horsemanship knowledge.

Family is important to us and we welcome meeting and sharing customs and experiences with new people and learning something of them. We have three adult sons, all married and all living not far from us. We have five grandchildren who we see quite regularly.
