Hi,
I'm back and my property needs lots of work and cleaning up!

Please note that most of the work will be outside, and sometimes we will work hard - (no heavy lifting though - unless you are strong:-)

I would prefer one or two (maybe 3) Asian helpers, as I am also developing a business aimed at Asian visitors to the Gold Coast, and would appreciate all help/advice offered.

My property is in the Gold Coast hinterland. Only 15 mins drive to Helensvale train/bus station (with direct access to Brisbane) and Westfield Shopping Centre, and 25 minutes to Surfers Paradise, beaches etc.

Almost 8 acres of land, with only a very small (almost non-existent?) vegie garden. I would like to expand the garden to include a variety of fruit and vegies, and also need help to maintain the property.

You can hand feed the Kookaburras, and magpies, and there are usually wallabies and kangaroos to be seen in the mornings and afternoons.

Broadband internet available, and use of computer... more inside

Cairns is a gorgeous please to visit, and this is an especially good this time of year as the warmth brings lots of friendly visitors to our city.

Our home fits with the Cairns life in that it`s relaxed, easy-going and very welcoming.

We are a self-employed couple living just 5 mins from the city looking for some help with our home. We are looking for helpers for general housekeeping and garden maintenance in exchange for accommodation.

We are seeking helpers for garden cleanup, household cleaning and tidying for 2 - 3 hours work per day.

You will live in a bedroom in our home, with a king sized bed. Our home is what is called a "Queenslander", which has a distinctive style.

We provide everything you would be used to at home; kitchen, wifi Internet, linen etc. It`s just like sharing a house with friends. We have plenty of room for a couple. Our house also has a BIG pool.

The bus stop is just 1 min walk from our house. We also have a very small friendly puppy... more inside

Hello,

I've had many helpXers stay with me over the last couple of years, and have met some amazing people.

I live in a lovely house in a small, quiet town with lots of birds and trees around.

You can stay in my beautiful home in return for 3 hours of light work each day (you would provide and prepare your own meals...you don't need to do any cooking for anyone else except yourself).

The work is very light and would include weeding, gardening, house cleaning, etc

The house is within very short walking distance (2 minutes!) to shops, cafes, a pub etc

I'm looking forward to hearing from you..
Kara

We are a house with a spare bedroom, and a huge semi-converted double garage with loft if you prefer more privacy, in a beautiful Ecovillage.
Community includes large saltwater pool, 2 swimming creeks, forest with bushwalks. We are looking for people at the moment in exchange for gardening, house repairs and housework. If you have any trade skills (e.g. carpentry) that would be a huge bonus.
I have a 13 yr old daughter, who loves having helpXers in the house with us. Just 7 mins from beaches, as well as having the Ecovillage's facilities and Currumbin Rockpools and waterfall inland.
We ask that you do 6 x 4hrs/day,or 5 x 5 hrs, or equivalent time, however you wish to arrange it.
We are a Non-smoking house.
We recently returned from 6 yrs living overseas, so all but one of our reviews are from 2012, when we were living here before.

We live in the mountains of south east Queensland, near the New South Wales border, with national parks and water falls nearby. We have a small cattle property (cows and calves) with two cottages rented out for short stays for guests. We are about 2 hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Unfortunately we are affected by drought at the moment.

We have a close family and our helpers often become like extended family to us. We have a lot of family activities which we welcome you to join in. Most of the family is musical and we have a piano, keyboard and guitar which you are welcome to use.

We need occasional help with cattle (mustering, vaccinating etc) fencing repairs, and other miscellaneous work. There is not a lot of farm work to do right now due to the drought, so at the moment we are looking for someone who can do some painting for us, both internal and external, and we would appreciate help to tidy our garden.

We will welcome you as family and hope you will join us... more inside

I now have someone helping until mid February 2020.
We need a hand to keep our garden, house well maintained. Our much loved active dogs looked after and walked when we are away working on our farm. 100 km away on the Tablelands. This house (pictured) which was a guesthouse is located in quiet Leafy Edge Hill yet only a short distance from Cairns. Close to local Edge Hill Cafes, Restaurants, Botanical Gardens, Art Galleries (500m). Esplanade only (3km) Lagoon (5km) The City is 10 min drive for shopping, cafes and restaurants. Trips to the Great Barrier Reef launch from the Marina in town (5km)
This is a house. Constructed circa 1918. Our home has been renovated inside and is great to relax in with comfort in mind.
Our intention is to continue repairs and renovations and keep our garden tidy and make the most of the outdoor landscape. Our house looks over a small patch of trees and scrub gully. The garden is only small but as we are in the tropics everything grows before your ey... more inside

Our property is situated in the hinterland above the Gold Coast. Our view is outstanding. We overlook the Hinze Dam which is the Gold Coast water supply and in the back drop are mountains and a section of the Gold Coast city and the ocean behind.

We have 2 border collie dogs and 9 wonderful laying chickens. The majority of our property is untouched. We are in a rain forest belt and approx 450 meters above sea level. So we are cool in the winter and fabulous weather in the summer as we get wonderful sea breezes up here to keep the temperature very pleasant.
Our soil is red volcanic so whatever we plant just grows.

My husband Greg and I live here with our daughter Rachael and grandson Julian. We are still renovating our lovely old home inside and out. EG Helping with paving work, painting, plus plus.
We have a large vegetable garden and all of these area's require help.
We are on tank water so if you require two showers a day you would have to go for a dip in our dam ... more inside

Availability January / February for 7 -10 day stays.

Would you like to see how permaculture and sustainable living can be combined in an urban environment? Come and see rain water harvesting, no dig gardens, seed collecting etc, making mulch.

I have an urban permaculture property at Buderim on the Sunshine Coast, close to public transport and 4km from beaches.

My goal is to produce as much food of my own as possible by growing herbs, fruit and vegetables. I also have a couple of chickens and a compost area for improving my soil. I enjoy teaching helpers practical gardening skills and basic permaculture, organic gardening and cooking skills using garden produce. My situation is ideal for a couple who have a vehicle.

I prefer helpers with a prior knowledge / experience in gardening or permaculture or an expressed interest in learning about permaculture for their future lives.
Helpers need a good eye for detail and will be able to follow detailed instructi... more inside
