Expanding bee farm/honey producers.

Can either offer accommodation in house or can provide a good caravan with electricity.

Cooking could be part of helper's work. General help with bees, might suit someone with woodworking skills.

Home is 5 miles away from closest shop so own transport or a love of cycling would be advantageous.

Experience with bees would also be an advantage- failing that, a desire to learn.

This is a small farm on the sea loch of Loch Broom, next to the fishing village of Ullapool which is 6 miles further along the coast.

We have cattle (including highland cattle) plus there are areas of wildlife management. On the farm there are two rivers which flow into the broom estuary, which support salmon, sea trout, otters and sea birds.

The farmhouse is located at the head of Loch Broom. We are in the process of developing the farm towards organic certification and doing work to live up to Scottish Agricultural Department biodiversity requirements.

The farm is organised by Jane and worked by Tam,Johnny and helpers.

We garden vegetables in a large poly tunnel and aim to eat and provide organic and sustainable food from the farm and local area.

Typical work hours are about four or five hours a day.
Typical jobs are clearing brush and coppicing for land management, cow husbandry, renovations of a cottage, painting, cutting rushes, timber harvesting and fen... more inside

Hello from Dave and Jan!
DO YOU REALLY LOVE DOGS? WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE WITH US AS PART OF OUR FAMILY?
We have availability from the end of August , through September to the end of October.
We have 3 lovely dogs, chickens , ducks, pigs, sheep and turkeys.
Our house is a dog hotel, with dogs staying with us for their holidays. The dogs are all in the house with us, so we prefer you to have some experience with dogs. We have a project that manages the land to combine ecological and community aims. We are currently involved in developing a significant piece of disabled access improvements having been involved in an inclusive mixed ability project for 3 years. We would welcome any kind of help across the seasons including woodland management and green wood construction
We also now have Martin's dad who has dementia living with us so we have an ongoing need for 'dad sitting' short or long term. He is mostly undemanding, just quite confused and repetitive

Hi - Are you looking for some rural living in the UK. Close to everything, but off the beaten track.

If you are and you are and are keen and happy to get stuck in with lots of energy then please be in touch.

We are a family of 5 looking for some general help inside and around the house.

We have a menagerie of dogs, horses a cat. There is endless work to be done, with maintaining and keeping the house clean, garden - fencing, mowing strimming etc and yard - helping with horses if you like them and walking two miniature dachshunds.

Own accommmodation and car is available.

Generally good signal for mobile phones and wifi freely available. We are outside a village and about 5 miles to Southam, the nearest town. Having said that Leamington Spa is 20 minutes, Banbury is equally 20 mins drive.

Local attractions include, Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford Canal, Biscester Village, Oxford (50 mins in the car), Sulgrave Manor, Canons Ashby.... and miles of cou... more inside

Note: I also need someone to index and categorise a lot of articles which I will be using as reference material for a book Iím writing (see `web 3` link).

We have a large garden and are (almost) self-sufficient in vegetables. We have been growing produce for ourselves, with a small excess for sale outside our house, for the past 25 years. We also have fruit trees and established flower borders and 8 chickens.

As well as gardening, chopping wood, housework and cooking, we also need help with general maintenance, carpentry and some electrical work. It would also be good to have someone who is experienced with 2 stroke engine maintenance.

For 2019 we have a major digging job - removing a large amount of bamboo, This is heavy work and might suit a couple, or 2 men coming here together.

We are located in the beautiful village of Abbotsbury, in West Dorset, southern England, with views of the sea (20 minutes walk away).

Hi,
I think I'll start by introducing you to our family! I'm Connor, I live with my daughter Iona (aka the squid) and my mum in a nice house in a village outside Edinburgh. We have been hosting through various programs for a long time (anyone remember globalfreeloaders?) and love the variety of experiences it brings into our lives.

*** Jobs ***

The thing we most want to do at the moment is work on the garden. My mum is in charge of this area and we are looking for someone who knows a bit about plants and gardening so that she can give instructions but not have to be outside all the time as she is a bit older and stiff in the legs these days.

We are about to start work learning German for our home ed topics so obviously if you are a native speaker we'd value your experience!!

****************

If you're good with young children or have nannying experience that would be a huge bonus, our girl is inquisitive and friendly and will want to play with you. Iona may so... more inside

This hostel is a friendly well-run budget accommodation provider. It is well known for its large comfortable common room and kitchen and friendly staff. Its location is ideal, in an attractive Victorian building, next to the train and bus stations, in the center of Stirling, the perfect base to discover Scotland.

To ensure the hostel can offer good rates for accommodating our guests we are looking for staff who wish to work for 2 weeks minimum (one month during summer season). In return for less than 20 hours of help per week, the hostel will provide full accommodation as well as free laundry & WIFI.

Help with reception and do a few cleaning shifts. We also have special missions to help with our social media coverage and our green initiatives! 5 days a week, 2 to 4 hours of work per day, 2 consecutive days-off.

What we're mostly asking for: a great "Can do" attitude and be willing to give the best for your fellow travelers!

Hi, we are a couple running an exciting & interesting not-for-profit project in Whitby, North Yorkshire. We promote future health; social, cultural, physical & economic health. Our organisation includes a health shop in Whitby, North Yorkshire. We need some help in our health shop and are looking for a single person or couple who can help us with staffing and running the shop & organising events in the shop. We would like helpers to cover the shop for 4 full days per week, in return for accommodation and provision of food which the helpers would usually cook for themselves, though we would cook meals sometimes for us all to share. We live in a village on the North Yorkshire Moors called Goathland, which is a beautiful rural location. The accommodation is a cabin close to the garden which has a main kitchen/dining/sitting area with wood burning stove (fuel supplied), separate bedroom and bathroom with use of shared washing machine in adjacent utility room. The photos below show the mai... more inside
