We live in a house that was built by our family in 1789, it runs as a tillage farm in co.kildare an hour south of dublin. the grounds around millbrook are in need of attention as we have not had gardeners for several years.
We are looking for people to help in and around the house which could include painting walls etc. I am a sculptor and occasionally need some studio help..Our work hours are very flexible as indeed are most days as I am not running a business. Apart from the farm which my husband runs with his son. We have 3 horses any number of hens, peacocks and of course 2 dogs.
Anyone volunteering would be very much part of the family and stay and live as we. In general we prefer two friends or a couple as they keep each other company during the day, but if you are the type that loves their own company you would also be happy here.
Dublin ,the capital city is only 60 minutes by train so there is always opportunity to spend a couple of days there. Southwards there is the be... more inside

Hi, we live in Cork city. We already have someone booked in for August. We are looking for someone who knows about gardening and doesn't mind outdoor physical work. Hedge cutting, making new boarders, making paths and steps - that kind of thing. I am converting to a more 'easy-to-keep but kind to bees' type of garden. So just a small bit of veg growing.
There are three of us at home. We are an easy-going couple with a grown up daughter. At the moment we can accommodate one person in a small single room. In exchange we would expect 18-20 hours a week. I know most HelpX people are interested in the countryside but maybe you are on your way to somewhere else in Ireland and would like to spend some time in Cork City.

We have availability right now for a week or two.

Rural living family of 5 need help around the house to tidy the place up, gardening, painting, carpentry, boring housework etc. The mobile home in the photos would be your private accommodation, we live in the small cottage beside it. I will provide food for breakfasts and snacks in your mobile so you can have breakfast at your leisure and we will share lunch and an evening meal in the cottage. In exchange I would like 3-5 hours help doing whatever jobs need doing on a particular day. We are fairly easy going and flexible and if the weather is good we are likely to go to the beach instead.

We are a Family of 5. Our son Dominik works at Sea or with us on the farm. Our daughter Mara lives on fhe farm with her 3 year old son Kaemon and our 21 year old son Joshua is traveling australia at present
We live on our small oasis of piece and nature close to the charming Village Sneem on the Ring of Kerry, on the north side of the Kenmare Bay.
We started our little homestead 20 Years ago. We have a dairy cow, pigs, poultry, bees, a large fruit orchard, a blueberry field, and a vegetable tunnel. The farm is managed with values for nature, beauty and harmony. Produce is largely for home use only, even so we started selling fruit last year as our blueberry crop was overwhelming.
We offer 3h farm tours for groups/families, showing them the animals, how to make butter and scones and candles. We also run courses in blacksmithing, cheese making and woodturning.

We converted a 200 year old coach house into our home. It is set in a wooded valley by the sea, 12km from Kinsale and about 25km from Cork, in Southern Ireland. Help always needed with general maintenance, stone work, carpentry, painting, woodland management, vegetable patch and garden or whatever project is going on. We have 2 grown up kids, two dogs, one cat. Sara is a ceramicist and Gidi sells his Middle Eastern food in three local farmers' markets and at festivals. We both work from home. We can offer a nice big room ensuite with wifi and good food. As we have a small house we usually offer short term stays (c.2 weeks).
At present we have a lot of trees down after Ophelia and could gladly do with some help clearing, cutting, tidying...
so do get in touch if that sort of outdoor work appeals, thanks

Hi Guys
I am a 60 yr old Nature lover and live in the picturesque town of Kenmare on the edge of Killarney National park. I have a lovely garden divided into three. It's rather beautiful but getting out of hand for ME, I can offer really nice accommodation in a nice house close to town in exchange for help in getting my garden in order.I would prefer some people with knowledge of Horticulture and a love for plants and if You Help Me I will also help you in discovering the beauties that surround where I live.
