Quirky 100year old hillside villa overlooking city center of Oamaru (10 min walk to downtown) plus a wee view of the sea. The good 1000squ metre hill side currently still covered in organic masses waiting to be transformed into massively organic garden - turning permaculture one day, I am sure of it (!!) ..

Oamaru, the world HQ of Steampunk is celebrating the annual Steampunk Festival around beginning of June as well -

If you are into landscaping you can leave your mark for good in form of a new entry way. If you are into building there is a bathtub to be carved into the bathroom. Any help with general maintainance and repair jobs is very welcome. Any practical skill including computer maintenance on top of the above will be greatfully received with due appreciation.

I am currently clearing out my house for some tenants. Some maintenance work still needs to be completed as well as the entry way, cleaning, packing, selling stuff. Helpers arriving between now and Aug... more inside

WE HAVE FOUND SOMEONE FOR THIS POSITION We are looking for a lovely live-in female helper for August. Duties include helping with our two girls (4) and (6), cleaning, cooking and dog walking.
The deal is three meals a day and accommodation in a warm modern caravan near the house. We live in beautiful Lake Hawea, which is about 15 minutes from Wanaka, so having a car would be handy. There are three awesome ski fields within 45 mins drive and some stunning bike rides and hikes right out our back door.
No worries if you have another job(s), we are very relaxed and negotiable about when the 'helping hours' are done. For the right person we would be willing to start earlier and go later than August.
We live a healthy, active lifestyle and are happy to include our helper in our adventures. ??

Hi there, my partner and I are in our early thirties and are running a 900ha sheep and beef farm just out of Oturehua in the Ida Valley. We are looking for 4 hours a day of productive work on the farm. Depending on what is happening on the farm at the time and your skills jobs may include fencing, stock work, building etc. There is a minimum of 3 nights stay and you will have to organise your own transport.
We will provide meals, accommodation and a kiwi farming experience.
For couples there is a possibility that we could also provide some gardening or sewing. We live in a 4 bedroom homestead and eat hearty homestyle meals. We also have a Labrador dog, cat, 5 working dogs and in spring we can have pet lambs and calves that we feed.
The iconic Central Otago Rail Trail runs through the property and is popular with cyclists and walkers. There is plenty to do in the area like go swimming in the Blue Lake at St Bathans, go fishing, go curling at Naesby, go to Hayes Engineering or t... more inside

I'm looking for someone to stay with us to provide care for my seven year old boy.

*** Dates are July 27 - August 14 ***

Ideally you can come for the entire time, although it may be possible to finish a day or two early.

We live with a close family friend, in his house, in beautiful Glenorchy, gateway to Paradise. (Located in Otago, the South Island of NZ.)

Offer includes accommodation (a single bed sharing a room with my son) + food + wage.

I will be away teaching a retreat during this time, however my family friend will be in the house. (He and my son have a close relationship similar to grandfather/son.)

Meals will be provided, and the cooking will be shared.

My son is in school from 8:30am until 3pm, Monday to Friday.

There's many beautiful walks close by, horse-riding, jetboating, and amazing mountain vistas.

It's a great opportunity to live in a mountain town at a stunning time of year.

Look forward to hearing from you.
