We have a beef cattle farm about 4 hours travel from Brisbane. Helpers are very welcome at our place but at this time the Australian government does not allow Helpx work to qualify for your second year visa. But we still welcome helpers and you will learn skills to help you obtain farm work in other areas. Please ask any questions I am happy to answer.

I live in a lovely little community called Beerwah.

Beerwah has shops, cafes, restaurants and a railway station. I love my town as everything I need is handy but it isnt overcrowded like coastal towns are.

Beerwah is about an hour drive from Brisbane city or a 30 minute drive to Caloundra or Mooloolaba beaches (trains and buses can take you also). Also 30 minutes away are two towns popular to tourists: Maleny and Montville.

Beerwah is near the Glass House Mountains - and I will be happy to show you these as the views from the top are amazing! People of most fitness levels can reach the top.

My little home will provide you with your own double bed, bedside table and a set of drawers for your clothing. Powerpoints to charge your phone or camera are in the room also. I have internet, which you are welcome to use.

My focus is outdoor landscaping at the moment. I have a dream to have a little self-sustainable garden one day and each little job gets me closer to this goa... more inside

UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN SELF-SUFFICIENT LIVING SKILLS

WE, Roman (a sustainable design engineer) Jana (full-time mum) and our daughters Lada 5.5 yrs old & Zlata 2.5 yrs old, live what we preach. In the past we transformed an inner city rented property into a productive food source and lived sustainably in complete happiness. You could see and hear us on the ABC TV's Gardening Australia, Bris 31 TV's Blooming in Brisbane, radio interviews, newspapers, magazines or presentations, workshops and conferences. Our family passionately share our knowledge, experience, ideas and inventions. Our sustainable living story and working towards self-sufficiency (growing food, making home produce, up-cycling materials, using urban environment to our benefit) make us less reliant on the society. We created SpurTopia A Small Kingdom of Happiness www.SpurTopia.blogspot.com.au

We recently bought a property (a double story house with a swimming pool on 4500 m2 of land) in Fernvale, which we ... more inside

Hi :)

Given we are welcoming "strangers" into our home - this is a serious consideration... We value our privacy & our security... and we also LOVE the energy in our home... and the peacefulness... SO we have provided a LOT of information here - for a very good reason... It's important that we are the right "match"... and that we "fit".

Please, will you respect the details... and read it all... and then share with us as much as you can if you do connect or reach out to us.

*********

As a place to stay our home is a TREAT....

We are on the Sunshine Coast in South-East Queensland. The air & water purity is rare! The amazing beaches are close and yet we feel at peace in the country.

It's quiet here. And that's the way we like it :)

We do not have the TV for helpers... And, we do not have the internet...

We do not provide "employment" and we cannot assist HelpXers to find some paid jobs...

We are busy too.

We do need for you to be competent, with s... more inside

This is a 2 acre patch of land that is part of the Eco-Village in Currumbin Valley. Situated in the hinterlands of the Gold Coast, Queensland, we are just ten minutes from the beach and half an hour from all a city can offer. The Eco Village is a 270 acre patch of land of which 200 acres is common land.
We grow as much of our own food as possible. We are building our own unique timber framed house, as well as maintaining the land and undertaking a number of other projects.

We are looking for either one or two (up to 4) keen and happy hard working helpers to join us in making a small patch of earth beautiful and sustainably abundant. A short stay will be fine but we may be open to longer stays depending on how we all get along. Gardening, bush regeneration, building and labouring are some of the tasks at hand. Plenty of learning opportunities as well as fun to be had. Please send text to inquire.
