Currently we are not taking HelpX helpers, while we travel and help elsewhere.
Piccabeen Pottery is a little home based studio located in the quaint railway village of Palmwoods, within walking distance of the train line and the village shops. This little pottery and ceramic art workshop rests under a classic traditional Queenslander style home, with a small but native forest garden. Native animals visit regularly.

The town has a newly renovated vintage theme, with cafes, restaurants, village walk around feel, and all necessary shops.

Palmwoods is in coohee of the well touristed Hinterland Range, with rainforests, national parks, waterfalls, bush walks. In the other direction Palmwoods is fairly close to all the Sunshine Coast beaches, 15 minutes by car. Surf sand and sun most of the year. Public transport is available from 2 minutes walk away.

The hobby pottery produces gallery style stoneware ceramics on a small scale by Kari, locally known ceramic artist.

We live in a beautiful area, one hour from the beach, one hour from the Sunshine Coast, and one hour from the gorgeous mountain area of Maleny and Montville. There is nothing nicer than sitting on our verandah and watching the wallabies each morning and afternoon. We are both teachers and would love to offer room, internet and board in exchange for two or three hours a day of gardening and yard maintenance. We have been really busy over the past year and have got very behind on our five acres. I am a home economics (cooking) teacher and love to cook so I would look forward to you sharing dinner with us each night (breakfast and lunch supplied), and maybe some cooking lessons! We have a small indoor maltese so you would need to like dogs. We are non-smokers so we would only be looking for someone like minded. Our property is about fifteen minutes out of Gympie with no public transport nearby so although we would be happy to drop you into town any morning, if you had your own transpor... more inside

Hello Helpers I am a friendly open minded Aussie bloke who enjoys meeting people from all over the world.I am a free spirited music lover. I live on a beautiful property in the Noosa Hinterland. I am looking for helpers to give me a hand doing property work. How long you stay is negotiable depending on your travel plans and my needs. My property is 40 mins from Noosa beach and 15 mins from Gympie. I share a peaceful lifestyle with the resident wild life, my horse Kenny and my cat Rastas. I can get both mobile cover and internet service. There is no nearby public transport but I am happy to pick up travellers from Gympie or Cooroy. Bikes are available if you enjoy a ride. Lovely Noosa hinterland property. Currently we are a family of three (Mum and 16yo and 18yo) plus four horses and two dogs. Me (Mum) has a full time job as a Sports teacher at a local high school. My daughter is in first year university studying Occupational Therapy and my son is in high school. We are a very friendly and peaceful family who enjoy the opportunity of meeting travellers from overseas and sharing our home with them. We are 15 min to Noosa, a beautiful tourist town with many amazing beaches and the best weather you could hope for. Noosa has many shops, restaurants and any facilities required. We are also 30 min to Maroochydore which has a much larger shopping centre.
Tasks would involve ride-on mowing and general garden and home maintenance, house cleaning, cooking and feeding of animals. These would be flexible depending on the needs and skills of our helper. 3 hours per day would be ideal in exchange for accomodation and meals. Horse riding is available and we have ... more inside

Help wanted for gardening and cleaning up after a build. Ideally a couple happy to lift, carry and wheelbarrow. We have (almost) finished building using recycled materials. We are now landscaping, gardening and generally clearing up after the build.
The property is rural in a land for wildlife area, yet only 15 minutes from the Gold Coast airport, and 10 minutes from Currumbin surf beach.
With the help of some wonderful people on this site, we have transformed second hand materials into a guest cottage, another one bed house, a car port and the snug, a shack which is for your exclusive use. It has a double bed, en suite loo and basin and outdoor (hot) shower, with its own kettle, fridge, kitchen and sitting area etc and it’s own wifi. From here it’s a great place to watch the stars (the village has a dark sky policy, so there is no light pollution). All meals provided and we often get together with neighbours, play cards or go for a swim in the lovely pool in the ev... more inside

We have a beautiful nature property 2.5 hours drive from Cairns. We are situated on the Wild River south west Atherton Tablelands and have a large spring fed dam in front of our house surrounded by bushland which is a sanctuary for abundant birdlife and other native animals. Our location is 26 km past the township of Ravenshoe and 5 minutes drive to Innot Hot Springs. We have a mail order nursery business-Sacred Garden Frangipanis and many fruit trees and fruiting cactus varieties. We are in the process of building an eco-spiritual healing retreat on our property and need assistance with carpentry, stone masonry, general gardening maintenance and odd jobs. We practise yoga, Qigong, sound healing and a few other modalities. There is always somewhere to swim either in the river with sandy beach frontage or in our spring fed dam. We like to share meals with our guests and enjoy cultural exchange.
